Fixed some minor bugs resulting from the port to the latest Unity version.
Manic Archers was updated to the latest Unity version which means it should run faster and more stable on most machines.
The last bugfix did still include some XControl libraries which under certain cirmcumstances still led to memory leaks on Windows machines. These libraries are now completely removed and the game should run much more stable on Windows. Minor gameplay improvements were made as well like slightly larger hitboxes for arrows and powerups, making collecting them easier.
This update fixes a bug which made the game crash under certain circumstances when using X-Box controllers (or compatibles) in the Windows version. The crashes were happening often and are fixed with this update.
This update contains bug-fixes:
- Many potential causes for crashes have been fixed, Manic Archers should run much more stable now
- Issues with sound volume settings were fixed, attract videos and some single sounds now play at the correct volume
- Fixed ice spikes freezing the owner
- Reduced wolf health so the powerup becomes less dominant
Further performance improvements and polishing.
First big update after release - major performance improvement
- Some powerups now cause a much higher combo count
- Ultra health mode - this mode is lifting Manic Archers out of the one-hit-kill zone
- Beginner mode with only 5 powerups - this mode changes gameplay drastically

- Framerate for animations has been raised, making the game much more fluid

Manic Archers - the Most Simple Game Of All Time.
MANIC ARCHERS is an atmospheric and extremely addictive local multiplayer arcade game in 8bit-/Pixel Art-style.
It features simplistic and on-the-point gameplay with amazing game mechanics and lovely pixel art-details.
It is playable with up to four players simultaneously on one device.
The players each control archers shooting the opposing archers until one team is eliminated.
During the game a lot of game changing powerups and special arrows appear on the playing field enabling players to turn the game around.
There are several multiplayer game modes such as:
- Versus
- Coop
- King of the hill
- Catch the fool with the chicken
As Well As A Single Player Mode.
The game takes place on a single screen with wrap-around scrolling. Player can use several elements of the top-down environment strategically such as water, higher grounds, obstacles and more.
