Hey there, partygoers!

It's a very unusual post for us to publish.

Mutual support is something that indie game development has been famous for. The accumulative effort of the devs sharing each other's projects really helps get more eyes on their titles. Today, we wanted to shout out an upcoming game that has caught our eye recently. I Am Future is a base-building survival game with an emphasis on story. It's set in a world that was completely flooded by a series of tsunamis, and the devastation's so great that all humans basically died. All but one! You play as that sole survivor, and you're stuck on a skyscraper roof, surrounded by the ocean. Well, not "stuck", actually, since you're in for a good time there! You can grow crops, fish, build your own base... You can program robots to help you too! Besides, there's no other humans to annoy you by throwing loud parties! Perfect.

For the past several months we have been working (hard, of course) on the Party Hard sequel, seeing no light of day. Our only food was bread and our only drink was water ("Dunkel" 4.7° lager, that is). Ignorant of what time of the year it was and whether or not battle royales were still popular, a band of code recluses called Pinokl (us) has been learning everything about elbow grease the hard way. Viewers' votes in Twitch integration mode weren't always registered right. As well as props and items that were voted to spawn weren't always spawning... Anyway, fixed that.

2.

Creating scrolling Workshop maps now works properly. That is, if you create and publish a stage with the Dark Castle background, it will actually scroll.

It's Darius again. They stopped him. Finally. Should I say "fixed" instead? Nonetheless, he won't take a life anymore. Just listen to me and you will understand. 1. That police officer in the Porn Studio... (I'm talking about High Crimes DLC level) So, you take out everyone—every single shnockered punk—, the victory over everlasting party insanity is within your reach; you are just about to leave... and but a second away that cop takes you down brutally. While he absolutely shouldn't! It wasn't even fair, to be completely frank. Well, the developers found out about this so called "software bug", took measures and fixed this issue for good. Now this brute of a law employee only takes you out, and then you proceed to the next stage. Finally, some justice is done. But when you think about all of those innocent people he had killed... Makes me sick. Don't look at me that way. --------------------------------------------------------------- 2. "Justice will be served (even if it's cold)" is the motto of this night's Changelog. Timer on the Boat level is now in working order and shows you the right time you've actually spent beating it. Respective achievements now unlock properly too. I'm satasfied, my Dear Log. And with that constant noise coming from the neighbouring building I am not.

New language has been added to Party Hard - Turkish. Now 80+ millions native speakers across the globe can finally play the game courtesy of my loyal fan Mehmet Barut. They say "Thank you" to Mehmet as well as the devs. Well, of course the devs do. I mean, why wouldn't they, my dear Log? That diligent adam saved them a whole damn bunch of time ctrl+cctrl-v'ing with the G-Translate. Anyways, that's it for now, dear Log. Please, forgive me for being too mean. Dear Log!

Crucial changes are being made to Party Hard. It's been bugging me so much, I just can't take it out of my head. Got to tell someone. Or better write it down in my log. You, that is.
1. An old main menu background (that really tied the game together) is gone. Devs say they replaced it because it had caused the game to go all blackscreen sometimes. I believe them. So, now we've got a new main menu background. It's still good old look out of the window but now it's like this:
Devs say they have moved from one place where people hang out under the rain to another place where cars drive by all the time at low framerate. As far as this statement goes, I doubt they're telling the truth. I smell some kind of... something. --------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Local co-op is now unavailable for those who haven't beat the tutorial. Sounds too cruel to me. It's like not allowing people who listen to Nickelback to reproduce. Wait... ---------------------------------------------------------------
3. Fonts in main menu have been improved. Now their shadows display the way they should and don't switch layers, but... There had been something about the old buggy fonts that I just can't forget. Call me retrograde as much as you want. --------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Sometimes in order to quit the game you had to hover and click the "QUIT" button twice. Devs have fixed this to "save your precious time". I think they shouldn't have. Because it had taught you how not to be a puny quitter. But hey, who listens to me anyway... --------------------------------------------------------------- Well, that's it for today, Dear Log. It's late and I need to get some sleep, but I can't. That godd/mn noise just won't let me sleep a freaking wink. Gotta do something about it.

NEW WALLS, NEW TILE AND OTHER NEW STUFF

BUG FIXES

Once upon a time there was a wicked bug. It caused the game to crash when the brave party killer plugged in his faithful controller. It has been fixed. End of the fairy tale. We've also fixed a bunch of other minor issues too so game's gotten even better. -----------------

Also, we are working really hard on fixing and adding new stuff to the game, and today's list includes the following:

MacLinux DLC update

We updated High Crimes DLC for those systems, so anyone who had troubles downloading it can now freely suffer in new levels.

Cop(player) has been arrested for carrying bodies

Yes, it's usually not a great idea to carry around a dead bodies, it's not a "Swiss Army Man" you know. But when character abilities says he can carry bodies, we probably should let him do that. Fixed.

Telephones events on all DLC levels

DLC is tough as hell, we added some emergency numbers for telephones on High Crime DLC to help some of you, or to make things even worse... you never know.

Stucking in hiding places

It seems that we made hide places so comfortable, that Darius resisted to go out from them. We`ve put a few snakes and spiders inside, so now he would likely to go out when you ask him to.

Items pick up priority

What would you choose: found and pick up 100$, or to go upstairs? While it`s an obvious decision for me and you, Darius thinks different. We talked a little bit and now he will prioritize to pick items, and then using traps or doors.

Combo label positions

Cop Zombie Fix

After months and months of researches we finally found the vaccine from a zombie plague and decided to test it out on our policeman, and it seems to work perfectly. Cop cannot become zombie from now.

Did you know that inactivity causes your muscles to become much weaker than they are? Well, our security guards didn't know that, we teach them a lesson, so now they are as deadly as they were before.

No win screen in Local Coop when one player is dead

We will win together or will not win at all ...well, that's not a statement from now. Fixed.

Casino level finishing

With the great help of our dedicated players we found what caused the neverending level issue on casinos. It was a UFO. When they kidnapped peoples and were killed, counter wasn`t changed. We asked official commentary from them, but all we get was "ayy lmao". Anyway, we fixed this issue.

Rebind keyboard controls

We all are well informed that magic is restricted outside the Hogwarts, so whoever disabled option to rebind keyboard after update - should really be aware of punishment. We brought it back. Do I need to remind you how much we appreciate your support and dedication to this game? I believe I do, thank you all! Now let`s see what character ideas you have!

We are constantly working to improve and fix issues with Party Hard to deliver you the best experience we can. this day fixes include the following issues: - After Coop Update something strange happened to our dog companion... after killing another vampire, he was gone to his astral world but never came back again. It appears that we accidentally created more complex astral world, and Hellhound were just lost. With the help of our developers we managed to get him back again.
- We added a small signs tweaks. Some of you complain that hide objects, signs looked exactly like escape doors, so we created a new one.
- There was an issue when you`ve been stuck in case cop that was arresting you suddenly (accidently of course or because of age) died. While it could be a big shock to Darius, so he actually would be dumbfounded like this forever, we decided to fix this issue as well.
- Items on levels appear to stop displaying in black boxes/cases. It's usually a bad idea to keep such a valuable stuff under the open air, so we ordered a nice pack of new boxes, and packed them back to their places.
We are continuing to investigate issues and fix them. The next update will bring some more advanced Local Coop improvements, but till then - have a nice Party ;)

Oh hi! Yes, we're still working on Party Hard and this update makes sure we can add more content later, and enables us to release on more platforms.

Performance Update

A huge performance update for Party Hard is now live. It addresses multiple issues that impact framerate, and should result in a much smoother experience - especially in terms of loading times. It's a little known fact that Party Hard has been developed in record low time (just over 6 months), while in reality it should've been an 18 month project. The game was being designed on the go with real-time feedback, and resulted in what we have now. The past month we spent on refactoring the game's code to enable it to run on more platforms.

Yes, that gif shows exactly what you think it does. Aside from giant alien butts that shoot rainbows, the After Party update adds 7 new levels! These include variations of existing parties, completely new game modes, and some really strange things. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure how the guys at Pinokl facilitate their creative process, but it's definitely working! At some point mid-development of the update Igor showed me the gif above, and asked if that's too much. I gave it some thought, and realized it's never too much with Party Hard. - Added Sharknado to the Miami Party as a twitch event - Fixed achievement bugs - Fixed ninja's stealth ability not working properly sometimes - New twitch events - Upgraded AI - Rebalanced Halloween and Vegas levels - Watched Angry Joe play Party Hard for 9 hours straight, including over 2 hours on the Miami Party - Purposely not fixing the difficulty spike in the Miami party - Added time scoring when you complete the levels - Fixed some issues with score multipliers - Showed off Party Hard on the twitch stage at PAX Prime - Thought it would be a great idea to have fake knives that collapse in at PAX. Quickly realized it's a bad idea to run around with realistic looking knives stabbing people. They also bruise. - Thought it'd be a good idea to have a bubble machine at PAX Prime, realized it's a bad idea when I accidentally sprayed a 2ft high layer of bubbles all over PAX 10, 505 games, and Adult Swim's booths. But hey, it was clean! - Thought it'd be a good idea to have a fog machine in our booth. Tested it. Who knew fog machines trigger smoke alarms? (apparently everyone but me!) - Fixed a rare issue when the game would launch into a black screen. It had everything to do with corrupt save files. - The cop player character can now use shortcuts - Party Hard is our most fun game launch - Major content update coming very soon
