Hello everyone! It's been a long time since release of The Light Sword Team games. Big Journey to Home has a decade of history, Spectrubes was created as an experiment, ported to Xbox One, and grew into big project Spectrubes Infinity with Steam Workshop support. I remember times of development and releases with great warmth, it was awesome! Thanks to everyone for bringing these games into the world and having you play them (though not as often as I'd like)! Thank you all those who helped with development and supported me! Thank you for your votes on Steam Greenlight when they were so important to release of games on Steam platform! As you know, Apple recently introduced their computers with own processor. I was greatly inspired by this and decided to port games to this wonderful platform. So, new updates are already coming out! Of course, apart from just porting I did some more innovations. Original Spectrubes game remained unchanged and hasn't been ported, but I made a little surprise for the owners of this game too! Now directly to the Spectrubes update. Basically, I just made ports of this game to game consoles of the PlayStation family! Unfortunately, not exactly official, but they work well. And, alas, I didn't figure out the save system, so you can't save game. But to compensate, you can choose every 10 levels right away. Try playing it if you have a modified PS3, PS4 or PS Vita! Thanks to everyone who is still playing games from The Light Sword Team! I might surprise you with something new soon, stay tuned! ;) Yours, Silver Sword!

Hello, dear Spectrubes fans! Today, the 25th of March, Spectrubes turns 2 years old! Thank you for your support! Thanks to you, the game was released on a variety of different platforms, including the XBox One. To celebrate, I have a new announcement to make. I have been away from game development for a while, but decided to return to Spectrubes. I am pleased to introduce you to a new, improved, extended and endless Spectrubes Infinity! This new game moves away from a classic ZX Spectrum look in favour of a modern 1080p Full HD visual style. It includes 50 new levels with new game mechanics, including cubes with even more complex movement patterns. Why is this game called "Infinity"? This is due to the introduction of Steam Workshop support, providing user-made content such as new levels and themes which can change any visual or auditory aspect of the game. If you already have Spectrubes in your Steam library, you will be able to play the original 100 levels and/or use the original visual style in the new engine. There's also bonus content for the owners of my very first game, Big Journey to Home! The new game comes out on the 20th of April in Steam. The Steam Store page will be up in a few days, so stay tuned! Finally, I'd like to show you a trailer for the new game: https://youtu.be/UAXaAkHzfU4 Yours, Silver Sword

Hello everyone, dear fans of the game Spectrubes! :aqua_cube: Recently, many copies of the game have been sold, so I appreciate those who bought the game. Thank you! I think it's time to reach an even larger audience of players. Therefore, now Spectrubes is available is not only on Windows, MacOS and Linux, but also on Xbox One and Wii U! Now you can buy for 1.99$ the game at the above consoles. Xbox One version has the same functionality except for achievements and leaderboards. Unfortunately, Wii U version is also lost undo function and works not stable. You can buy the console version on Xbox One right now in Windows Store, in Xbox Creators Collection section. Wii U version is only available as Homebrew, it can be found on the official website. Thanks for your support! :ghost_cube: Yours, Silver Sword!

Hello everyone, dear Spectrubes fans! The game has been for about two years. Thanks to everyone who bought it and played it for this period! It's been a long time since the last update, but now it's time for Spectrubes 1.2! This update contains a very specific thing - support of the Japanese language. For everyone else, there is a more interesting innovation that you asked for - level selection. The details are as follows: 1. Japanese localization Now the game is translated into one more language! All this is due to my own efforts, since I started learn this wonderful language. For Japanese localization a new font was used. Unfortunately, its slightly different from native font of ZX Spectrum computers, but I tried to find the best variation. Of course, there is no support for kanji in localization, since the letters are small, and in early computers kanji support was completely absent. I tried to match the style as closely as possible. If you find errors in the text, dont be afraid to report it, I will correct them as quickly as possible 2. Level selection At your requests level selection was realised. Unfortunately, due to the records, you can only select levels n1 (11, 21, etc.). Of course, you cant immediately select level 91, if you just started the walkthrough. The game checks the save slots for walkthrough of early levels. You can choose level in the submenu "New game" with the left and right arrows, the level number is indicated in parentheses. Try it now! 3. Bug with skip opening screen An old bug has been fixed, in which if you press Enter during the opening screen, the submenu "New Game" will be selected. Now the opening screen is simply skipped when you press any button, without touching the main menu Thank you all again for supporting Spectrubes so far! I hope the game will find more fans, since now the game has a 66% discount in honour of the autumn sale. Hurry up! Full list of changes:
- Added Japanese translation
- Added level selection
- Fixed bug with skip startup screen

Hello everyone! It's been exactly a year since the release of Spectrubes! The game has been sold via Steam and other stores for a year now. Thank you for your support and for playing the game. There have been no updates because the game seems to be stable. There has been no new content either. I'm looking at ways to implement some, but there's currently no clear plans for it. Because of this event, the game will be discounted at 66% for the upcoming two weeks. Buy now! Thanks again for your support! Yours, Silver Sword!

Hello, dear Spectubes fans! First, I'd like to thank the people who bought the game and shown interest in it! Thank you! Now for the important news, the Spectrubes 1.1 update is out. It includes a few major and minor bugfixes, and an important new feature, the ability to undo multiple turns in a row. The details are as follows: 1. You can now undo up to 5 turns. A popular request was to add support for undoing multiple turns in a row, and this feature has now been added. If you died, and you see that you could have won if you just did your last few turns differently, you'll find this feature quite useful. The default amount of turns you can undo is 3, however, you can increase this up to 5, if you find the game difficult, change it back to how it was in version 1 (that is, just 1 turn), or completely disable the undo feature by setting it to 0 turns. Try it out! 2. Bug with undo on ice If the cube was on ice when you were undoing your turn, it would still remain on ice in a sliding state. This was very annoying and made the undo functionality rather useless, but it was fixed in this update. Enjoy the game! 3. Out-of-bounds bug The game now ends if you move the cube out of screen bounds. You won't be able to run away or change the main principle of a puzzle solution 4. German translation update Some people have stated that the German translation wasn't very friendly, and was actually somewhat rude. We have fixed the translation. 5. The box bug was not fixed. Multiple people have reported the bug which allowed the cube to fall through a box. This has significantly affected one of the levels. However, it affects only that single level, and fixing the bug seems to be irrationally difficult, so we left it in. However, the level which is affected by the bug can be completed normally as well -- just experiment a little. Thank you again for supporting Spectrubes. The game keeps getting better with every update, and it is thanks to you that we can quickly find and fix bugs. Full changelog:
- Added undo for multiple turns, configurable in the menu
- Fixed the bug with undoing a turn while on ice
- Fixed the bug with the cube leaving level bounds
- Updated German translation
- Enemies now blink half as fast
- The cube now takes longer to die
