Beverage settings and an appearance at PAX East!
Since the last update, we've made progress on a little mini-game, which I can't tell you too much about. I know, secrets abound, but we can't spoil things! I can show you that there's now a "Beverage" option in the settings.
Why is there a "Beverage" setting? Well, before we had it so that bubble tea was your healing item in the game, but some people mentioned they wanted different drink options to heal them. So to better suit your tastes, we put in other drinks too. (But if you haven't tried bubble tea yet, I recommend taking a stab at it!) There has also been some nice aesthetic and gameplay improvements to the dungeons in the game. Before, a lot of the dungeon generations would lead to dead-ends, which meant you had to backtrack quite a bit. So we improved it so it loops a bit better, and is more fun to explore. :) We've been playtesting it more and more to add fixes and find more bugs, and it's really chugging along well! Okay, back to work for meeee. If you ever want these updates in a cool love letter format from the bae blades, don't forget we have a newsletter! xoxo, Victoria

Hey sword smoochers!
A short update for February, because right now we're gearing up to head to PAX East! Woo! The Boyfriend Dungeon demo will be there of course, but so will our first ever playable demo for Lucifer Within Us. If you haven't heard, it's the other game we're developing (different team members than the one working on Boyfriend Dungeon though) that has you playing as a digital exorcist/detective. So basically, lots going on!
See you there? We'll be at Booth 27039. :)

Boyfriend Dungeon Linux [1.78 G]
- Date up to seven weapons, from dancing swords to heart-piercing daggers
- Generated action-combat dunj and challenges! Stay sharp!
- Various combat styles. For example, hit hard and dodge quickly with the dagger, or take on crowds with Lasersaber
- Inclusive, tasteful approach to gender and sexuality - male, female, and non-binary romance
- Let's get to the point: take your weapon-babes on romantic outings, such as to the club or the beach
For your summer job, you’re tasked with clearing the creatures in “the dunj”. Soon you discover weapons you find transform into cuties… and they’re SINGLE! (What a craaazy coincidence because you also happen to be up for grabs yourself.)
Spend the cash you earn on romantic outings to forge precious moments with your lovers and work together to clear the rampant monster infestations, because after all, a couple that slays together, stays together.
- Estoc (Isaac): the sharpest dresser
- Dagger (Valeria): tired of backstabs
- Talwar (Sunder): worried he’s becoming an antique
- Lasersaber (Seven): hard to get a handle on him
- Glaive (Sawyer): they'd like you to get straight to the point
- Scythe (Rowan): reaping what they sow
- Brass Knuckles (Pocket): loves cat naps
