You might also find recipes for new fashion or gifts for your blades while you're making your way through the dunj. Collect materials and take them back to your apartment to the crafting bench!
You'll get opportunities to give those (mostly hand-crafted) gifts to your dates now and then, but you should pick carefully... everyone has their own tastes. Nobody will get mad at you, exactly, for a badly-chosen gift, but you'll have lost the opportunity to make a good impression.
