Today's update gives you finer-grained control over your gender presentation, as well as sorting out a few niggles with the system as a whole. This mainly affects your gender presentation at any given time and place, rather than who you are deeper down.
If you play completely cis all the time, this won't affect you at all. But if you want people to know you as male in the slums now, and female in the Projects, for example? No problem -- as long as you're prepared to build that rep over time. If you have a rep, it's your average presentation over time that counts (bearing in mind that presentation gender is a sliding scale in cpd). If you have low reputation in an area, people will go off what they see -- they don't know you, so they don't know any better.
The new system has some other features and nuances too, such as more uses for specific gender choices such as agender, demigender, etc. Bear in mind, however, that NPCs you know well will usually still go of your base gender rather than what you're presenting as at a given moment, and some might misgender you still (either deliberately or otherwise.
But that's not all
The above material and associated fixes was actually pretty quick to implement (just a couple of hours), as it was really an iteration on what we already had than something dramatically new. But speaking of iterations, there have been a lot of tweaks to alleyway fights and chases, wound treatment and related matters. Most of these changes are still in testing, but there's plenty live now too. The whole system should now be a little less punishing, but not out of the box. You'll have skills to master and decisions to make.
Speaking of testing
There's a lot of new content related to the main mission and other things in the testing group now, so it shouldn't be long before more of this is released to the public.
SensX and other hard banging content
I am on a mission to complete more of the missing text and mechanics in this content, especially now that it's become, *ahem*, apparent how popular it is. This stuff is usually my weekend occupation. SensX will come first, mostly, as it's easier and quicker to write (no need to take into account dozens of combinations of body parts and quirks). There are currently 18 unique, interactive SensX spikes in the game, most of which are fully written (and, contrary to popular belief, it is now possible to find them outside of events... although not easy).
Coming up
The next big thing will be our forth anniversary on Steam, coming up in about a month. There will be a lot of previews and other things going down/
