Without going into my personal junk, about five to six life events hit me at the end of last year, one of which I had been prepping for. I/We already had decided to only work on Dinosaur Cousin Squad until it was ready for internal beta testers (which should be in the next few weeks), but with everything else that hit, it left me very emotionally drained. That and then you add in the Brain Fog, a loving reminder of my two bouts with COVID-19.
The point is that I'm thinking of moving Spooky Cat Girls 2 to later, if not Halloween 2025. Army of Tentacles: Assault on Unicorn Island, if not out by then, would take its place as the Halloween 2024 game. I do not think there is any reason other than current lethargy that AoT: Unicorns would land on Halloween 2024.
Cat Girls: IMT is looking good, but as stated, DCS takes priority, and even if we barreled through it before SDCC in late July, we still wouldn't feel comfortable releasing it until at least December, if not later (for personal reasons as well as wishlists).
We might do some weird, smaller game after DCS level rough draft is done but before SDCC. AoT: Christmas Edition has been thrown around just cause we were playing Lemmings: Christmas Edition last night. It would probably use the remaining art for Tentacle Prawn that we just never ended up using.
You've been abandoned by your con buddies at the world's most popular pop culture convention! But wait, twelve ultra-cool monster squid things that are also medical doctors and may or may not be creatures of the dark that travel through time have just walked in! Can you muster up the courage to ask them if they want to be your new Con Friends? Maybe you can spend all four days with one of them?
Basically, the gameplay is thus:
- You have four days at the convention, with multiple things to do!
- Each of the twelve squid siblings has their own schedule, and depending on who you spend time with, you can gain Reputation!
- Win prizes!
- Do or do not destroy the universe!
- Find love?
You know, the usual stuff you do at a geek convention.
