Hi, I want to introduce you the new game I'm currently working on, Ludus Mortis. Like "Inferno - Beyond the 7th Circle", "Ludus Mortis" is First Person Dungeon Crawler, but this time is party-based. It's set in Rome, during the 4th Century AD; an evil force has been summoned by corrupted members of the Roman Senate and now the undead are taking control over the Eternal City. In this chaos, a Ludus (School of gladiators) has continued to train gladiators and is ready to put an end to the shadow that prevails over Rome. Version 1.0.16 is now live. I was planning to release a new post-game campaign, but I wasn't fully satisfied with the result so I preferred to move all new contents into the original campaign. This new update, one year after the game's release, contains precisely these new contents:
- New Boss: Beelzebub. Appears in new games if you have killed the main campaign boss at least once. Beelzebub is a very powerful (but optional) boss; you can find it near the Cathedral.
- New enemies: Bears and Armored Bears.
- New items: Anctient Tomes, which increase the level of some skills.
- New hazards: swarms of flies (a "gift" from Beelzebub)
- Changes have been made to some enemies attributes (the first monsters will be slightly easier)
- Increased cost for upgrading attributes with a value that is over 20

Big update: Mac Version is now available! Also, a lot of improvements and fixes for the game:
- New "Survival Mode: Beginner" difficulty available: you will recover more HP and SP while resting and your Hunger and Thirst level will decrease slower.
- The "Don't bother" perk now works correctly
- The "Open Wounds" status is more likely to happens
- If you build a campfire in a dungeon you will now read the correct text
- Increased Skill XP gained for the Survivalism Skill
- Reduced the amount of Metal Scraps needed to upgrade weapons for higher levels
- Fixed the error that prevents the "Magic Fire" spell to be casted in some squares
- Some enemies (like vampires) now will be blinded for some rounds by your torchlight (or the equivalent spell)
- The spell that bring you back to the Shelter now works correctly even if you save on an old slot

- On "Hell" difficulty mode every enemy will have a random boost (SPD, STR, Fire RES, Poison RES, Cause Fear, Saving Throws, ToHit chance, Armor)
- You can now remove skill points in the character creation phase, so if you misplace one point you don't have to redo the entire build
- The Doppelganger will boost his stats according to your magic skills too, instead of using only your STR and weapon damage
- New Trait "Herbivorous" (increased Food and Thirst level eating fruits and vegetables)

- Fixed the "Drain" and "Entangled" statuses that where not triggered
- Fixed the "starred armors with no upgrades" bug
- New Crating Skill perks "Masterpiece Maker I & II": you can now create starred armor pieces
- Reduced the armor value of every piece to prevent reaching the armor level cap too soon
- Reduced the increase of armor value given by the Light and Heavy armor skills

A little update to inform you on what I'm currently working on. In the next update of Inferno - Beyond the 7th Circle you will find some new settings (like the option to remove flashes after a critical hit or to remove the fog to increase the frame rate on slower machines) and some balancing to the game mechanics (I've reduced the Skill XP gained for Unarmed and Twin weapons, reduced the armor bonus given by Light and Heavy Armor skill and added two new perks for the Crafting skill). The update will be published in a couple of weeks. Also, I'm working on a new campaign that will be available (for every one that have completed the main game) in the next few months. And it will be free because I really hate DLCs, microtransactions and stuff like that. That said, what kind of content, option, game mode or fix do you want to see in the next updates? - "True Survivor" mode available for any new character: it will increase the difficulty for some gameplay elements (reduced amount of HP and SP recovered resting without a campfire, increased cost of water and food in the Shelter, reduced SP recovered in battle, reduced the regeneration of the resources, etc...)
- Increased the difficulty of the "Hell" mode
- Enemies have higher chance to hit you in any difficulty level beyond "Normal"

- The cost for food and water in the Shelter will increase a little every time you will consume something (also if the "True Survivor" mode is not enabled)

While some people consider Inferno a really hard game, there are other players that have managed to master the game mechanics so well that may want something more. So, a new challenge is coming for them: the new Hardcore Mode. Beating the game you will unlock the Hardcore Mode (Permadeath) in the character creation screen. In this mode, you can't save or load the game and if you die the character is lost forever. The game will be automatically saved every few seconds, so mistakes can't be undone. This option will be available in the upcoming update, together with the Linux version of the game.

The choice of date is not accidental: Walpurgis night is the "night of the witches", the night in which demons awaken and in which humans light immense fires to ward off evil.
