A while a go we announced a speedrun competition about Chapter 1, and just recently that competition came to and end.

And the winner is KikooDX!

At the ending moment of the competition, KikooDX was the fastest runner submitting their run to speedrun.com, and he still holds the WR to this moment! We also want to give an honorable mention to AuroraDash for having amazing speedy times as well!

Like every good relationship, we have our ups and downs. With mostly ups!

It's been a full month now since the release of Sunblaze. Since then we've had only a few negative reviews and a ton of positivity send our way! We're currently comfortably sitting at "Very Positive" on Steam and (even though we are so close to Overwhelmingly Positive it makes our brain tingle a little bit, we) want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the positivity. Thank you. Overall the launch went good and our stress levels aren't spiking as much as they were one month a go. We had close to no problems at all with the launch and Sunblaze has got a decent amount of coverage for an indie game since then. We do feel like we could've got a little more but that being said, we are looking forward and want to continue working with Sunblaze and to make everything even better! What's next for Sunblaze, then? Well we currently do have a small speedrun competition live and are looking to have more of those if people are interested. But that's not all our masterminds are planning. There's more good stuff, and I'm not misguiding you by saying that we have very interesting stuff coming up in the future! (but it's all covered in a mysterious web of secrets for now!)
To keep it short-ish, I won't ramble on any longer. We just wanted to give you an idea about what's up. And to remind you: any ideas you might have, any thoughts and all the questions are very much welcome! We're here both for the game and for the players. We're here for you guys. - the Sunblaze team

Last week we started our first competition: the player who submits the fastest time to chapter 1 will win a prize! Now it's been a few days since the start, but there's still time to take part in the running.

The setting is simple: Whoever is holding the Chapter 1 Normal Dash Any% WR by the end of 11th of July will receive 50!

10 days after release and we're still going strong?

Oh yeah.

The wait, the release, the hype, the aftermath. It's all been crazy and chaotic (for the team at least, hopefully it seems like we know what we're doing!) but now that the game is out there, it's time to build on the foundation that we have made. We've had streamers of various sizes, journalists from numerous publications and players from different backgrounds all show love and interest towards Sunblaze. It's been 10 days since the initial release now and we still keep rallying up interest from lots of people who learn about the games existence! And since it's been such a warm welcome for the game, we want to keep bringing people to it. Have you been enjoying Sunblaze?

Sunblaze is taking over.

Last week Sunblaze release already covered PC, Mac, Linux and the majority of Nintendo Switch eShops. We had a few speedbumps with a couple Nintendo eShops, but by covering the French eShop today and the Canadian eShop next week both the NOA and NOE regions are fully in check! These of course are not the only regions Sunblaze is available right now. Nintendo of Japan and Nintendo and Nintendo of Australia are also already up and running! Going forward from here we are looking to get Sunblaze available in as many regions as possible.

Sunblaze can be hard. But it doesn't have to be inaccessible.

That's where Zen mode comes in.

We want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy Sunblaze. So far things like "difficult", "hard to beat" and "so hard it makes me cry" are all phrases that have been used to describe Sunblaze. But it doesn't always have to be super hard and unforgiving. Zen mode is a game mode where you can experience the whole Sunblaze story, but without as much of the "so difficult it makes my head hurt" part. The whole experience of the Zen mode is tailored to be more accessible and more easily approachable. On top of Zen mode we also have accessibility options in the main game for people who want a little more in their platforming kit to get through those brain-twister levels! Because even though we want the journey to be challenging, we still want everyone to have their fun while playing.

It's been a long way to get here, and now is the time for rest. Our fingers need healing and yours should take a break too - for the full release is just around the corner!
It's a sad thing to take away the demo, I know. But we really want to focus on the release of the full version and taking away some extra variables will make it just a little bit easier for us to get everything just right! We've seen how much some of you have played the demo. Amazing. We are extremely thankful to everyone who has been with us during this time, and that's all the more reason why we want to focus on making the full version as great as we can for you. A small break before you get to hop on the full experience will only make it all better, I promise!
