I promised a major update earlier this year, here it is!
I've gone through the game with a professional QA tester for a couple of hours and I have a big list of bugs to squish and QoL changes to implement. I'm going to through all of them and release a big update. This will take a while, so I figured I'd let everyone know that fixes are coming! Thanks for your patience!
Thanks to a good friend of mine, Misael de Oliveira, the game has now been translated to Castillian Spanish and Portuguese!
A few French speaking players have reported the game crashes when interacting with the doorbell on the first level, this was a bug unique to the French translations, and I have found the issue and patched it, enjoy!
Operation: Pinkeye has been nominated for 2 awards from the Scottish Games Network! It's nominated for the Best Small Budget Game and Spirit of Scotland awards! The ceremony will take place on the 2nd November 2023 at Platform in Glasgow. You can buy tickets here.
Small update kinking out a few dents here and there. Changelog
Changelog
New update, had to fix some stuff
Changelog
Operation: Pinkeye takes part in the Realms Deep 2023 Steam event and now on sale, half off! Get it while it lasts!
A new, and hopfully final, update to Operation: Pinkeye. I did some small but I think significant changes!
We have a Discord server where I'm going to post game updates and other updates to other dev stuff I'm working on. Join us here! I'm going to work on a new update to the game, and I'll be posting most updates there. We also have Matrix Chatrooms, found here and here!
A big update is here! I fixed lots of things over the months with bug squashes and QOL changes!
Changelog:
I spent a while digging into the game and fixing all of the errors and bugs I came across so I can export it properly, which is why this one took so long!
I've added the ability to inverse the vertical mouse look. Before, the option was only available if you had a controller connected, and players noted that if they turned it on, it didn't inverse the mouse, not realising it was meant for the controller. Now the option is available for and works with both control methods!
Another big update, fixing loads of things
Fixing some more stuff
Just cleaning up the game at this point, fixing glitches reported by testers and players here and there
Another quick update. Not much being reported now, but I fixed what I can.
For some reason, the latest update was exported with the strings completely broken. I've quickly patched it and got them working again. If you saw some Scots in your non-Scots game or random numbers, that was why. They should be gone now. Sorry about that...
I understand some people in Europe are struggling with bills, and some of those also want to get this game, so I've discounted the game for more than I usually would to help people save money so they can continue to live. I hope more people can now experience this and enjoy it!
Another quick update cause I realised I broke some things
I planned for a bigger update, but it seems my playtester has gone AWOL, so my ability to track down and squish bugs was limited
A quick update because I realised some of the issues I fixed ended up breaking other things. I've fixed them now, so hopefully all is well!
Another quick update fixing some more bugs. Thought I'd release it as I wait for my new playtester to come back with a report. It's kind of just sitting there otherwise.
Another big update to the game that hopes to fix many of the bugs present in the game as well as QOL changes.
Just a quick update to say I've made a new patch that fixed a few problems.
Another series of fixes, just for you!
Just a quick patch that fixes the Steam Achievements. I realised some of them didn't work. I fixed and tested all of them myself to confirm they now do work. Happy Achievement Hunting!
Whew! I managed to fix most of the reported bugs, and hopefully people should have a much smoother time playing the game now! Changelog:
Just a quick update to announce an emergency patch to fix a mission softlock on the second to last level where the final door wouldn't unlock. I've also fixed a couple of other issues as I've been working on the 1.1 build:
The game is now available to buy after 4 years in development! I would like to take this oppurtunity to thank each and everyone who has supported me throughout it all!
The demo has been updated to match the polish of the final game as of right now.
