To whoever made that note, this isn't making fun of you; it's about showing you how to save the dog. The dog can be saved. You just have to think "unconventionally" just like he told you. The meta aspect of the game isn't common or expected, but it's crucial to the story. The whole campaign (with its unconventional routes) is about saving people by thinking "unconventionally".
