Catsploration Playtest is now available! Please join our community Discord server to learn more: here! In Playtest v0.0.03pre-a, there are currently two playable levels * Steam Hammer * The Tunnels and one NPC available as a companion, Pumpkin. The first and only quest is available, Fiona Meets Pumpkin. Fiona can naturally jump, double jump, and triple jump. She has one available ability: sharpened claws, which enables wall jumps. Fiona can also cast her first spell: Summon Candle Flame, which grants a small light radius. For Playtest v0.0.04pre-a, I will be adding in a few more levels, * The Outer Chamber * Rebecca and the Duck * Beneath the Surface * Skovfogedegen and the ability to swim. Donan will join Fiona as a companion and give a new quest, Find the Sailboat. Fiona will learn her second spell: Air Jump.

You have lived nearly your entire life deep underground, watched over by a kind old man. However, it's time to move forward. Rupert told you to seek out a being named Alvin, but he did not say why. Alvin loves to read and is likely to be found in the Library of Cats. Regardless of a reason, that sounds like a much nicer place to be than in these deep echoing tunnels. Let's go!

After playing "Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy," I realized that I had to create this game. In "Getting Over It," Bennett says that people have been predicting that "games would soon be made out of pre-fabricated objects; bought in a store and assembled into a world." What an amazing thought! Immediately after playing his game, I went on a search for this "digital landfill." And I found it.
I learned about photogrammetry enthusiasts, abandoned student art projects, public domain libraries, and so much more. I have brought a few of these amazing works of art into this game and have presented them in a way that can be explored. The scenes in this game will not fit into any one art style as they will be a mix of real world places along with individual artist's work.
However, unfortunately for you, I agree with Bennett. Part of what make a journey is the challenge. Exploring this world will not be easy.
Key Features
- A character controller dense with abilities. You will have access to double, triple, and long jumps. You can leap upwards, jump off walls and dash forward with a variety of speeds.
- As the pet of a wizard, you have access to many magical trinkets. Transform into a phoenix, increase your speed with a Roc's feather, or light your way with a candle's flame.
