Bugvasion TD was released a year ago and we as a team are really proud of it, weve achieved what we wanted: to release a decent and fun game and Bugvasion TD did just that for us. To celebrate the one year anniversary we are putting a 70% discount on the game for a week, so anybody who is still interested can pick it up with a huge discount. We had a lot of plans for the game after release, the main thing being a free DLC with new levels and game mechanics - which weve partly managed to do in our Supercharged update adding a lot of new things last summer. However after this point its not feasible for us to invest anymore time and energy into Bugvasion TD, we wanted to get the clear picture for our players - what you buy is what you get - at least for now. We are full of plans, other gaming projects are in the works - we should be able to announce our next big thing in the upcoming months. Bugvasion TD on Linux!

Hey Fellow Gamers, Bugvasion TD has been out for more than 6 months and from the very beginning we wanted to port our game to Linux. Since it was made in Unity it seemed quite an easy task but we had to realize that in order for it to work properly we had to optimize the game a lot more. Since the release we have updated the game more than 15 times including a major "Supercharged" update released in June which added a lot of new content, new gameplay mechanics and so on. Now we are proud to present a much better version of Bugvasion TD for the Linux gamers out there! We have a lot more plans with the game, keep an eye out on updates and announcements! Update #12 - Optimizations!

Our team spent the last few weeks trying to optimize every little thing in Bugvasion TD to make the experience smoother, the loading times a lot faster and the game size much smaller. Here is our Optimization To The Max update: - loading times significantly reduced - smoother gameplay - game size optimization - a lot less lag and stuttering - and a lot of bug fixing We are hoping this will make playing Bugvasion TD a much more clean and smooth experience! The Supercharged Update is live!

Bugvasion TD was released back in February on Steam and while it was a cute looking game we had to realize that weve focused too much on the visuals and not enough on the actual gameplay experience. Weve decided to put another 4 months full time development into the game and build upon the existing base. The update adds new gameplay mechanics that change the whole experience adding excitement, variety and a lot of much needed fun.
Here whats new: The Supercharging mechanic makes using the special attacks a much more rewarding and strategic experience, you can now reload each attack up to 6 times. Chain together several attacks and bring devastation to the enemies.
The Event System brings randomized waves with different features, youll never know what comes next, it can be helpful or it can put you in disadvantage, it all comes down to luck. The Reaction System is there to compliment you for doing stunts like killing a certain amount of enemies at once or using a supercharged special attack among many other things. The reaction can be a funny animation or a one liner from our heroes.
Now you can earn points, unlock badges and Steam Achievements. The new Bug Report Screen will tell you all you need to know about the match youve just played and you compete with others on who gets the highest score. The tutorial has been expanded, new music was added and several previous issues have been ironed out. Chinese language support was also added! We really think weve nailed the fun and rewarding experience this time and made Bugvasion TD a casual strategy game worth playing
We are still planning to release a free DLC with new maps in the coming month among many other things. The future of Bugvasion TD: - free DLC with new levels, enemies and towers - seasonal updates - more languages - porting to Linux, Mac OS and consoles The new update adds new gameplay mechanics which basically makes Bugvasion TD a lot more fun and rewarding experience. Public experimental branch added

Public experimental branch added! Our Supercharged update is close to being finished, weve decided to unlock a public branch for testing so anyone who is interested can try out the upcoming update before release. So far we have implemented these new features: - Supercharging - now you can supercharge every special attack up to 6 times, thus attacking with each special attack up to 6 times at once, delivering devastation to the bugs. - Reactions - there is a ton of reactions ranging from simple voice lines to fully animated characters appearing on the screen and reacting to the players actions - Bug report screen - now after each level you can see detailed statistics on how many bugs you have killed and what you have achieved - High Scores - Now you get points for each kill, each special attack and combo - New music - Weve changed the musical score to fit the new more dynamic gameplay
We are still working on some other features. Feel free to send us feedback on your experiences with the new Supercharged Bugvasion TD! Warning! You will have to RESET your save slots if you want to try out the new experimental branch to avoid any problems.

The Supercharged update is due to release in early May!

Hey everyone, Bugvasion TD was released on the 17th of February and while most reviewers liked the theme and visuals of the game, the gameplay itself was only mediocre. We had to re-think and re-evaluate our goals and the direction of the game. We knew that we have something appealing but not fun enough so weve decided to overhaul the gameplay and add a lot of new mechanics - basically build upon the foundation and make Bugvasion TD a game worth playing.
We call it The Supercharged update and it will bring a lot of new things to the table, here is a brief list of the additions you can expect:
* Supercharging - All the special attacks are going to be super-chargeable several times to make them a lot stronger and there will a ton of new animations complimenting this new gameplay mechanic * Complete score, combo and badge system - now you will be able to see statistics on your matches, earn badges and points * Events - On every level there will be special waves where the conditions of the game change, some will make it harder, some will make it easier to win and its completely random which ones you activate * Reactions - The characters in the game will react to your actions with voice over or animation * New music - we have changed the score completely to compliment the new mechanics and visuals * Steam achievements
On the top of these there will be a ton of other small additions, QOL changes and optimization. We truly believe that this update will change the game and bring our players a new experience! For the next few weeks - until the release of The Supercharged update - we won't be updating the current version of the game, however we will add a public experimental branch as soon as the update is in playable shape. Update #9 Bugvasion TD hits 1.1!

2021.03.31 - V1.1 It has been a little over a month since Bugvasion TD has been released and weve finally hit 1.1. In this weeks update you can find:
- Added basic tutorial to a few levels and level select menu. Only plays when the levels are played for the first time. - Level design and feature fixes - weve double checked every building placement, every static weapon, every pathway to make your gameplay smoother. - Added new music tracks for the tactical view phase before the first wave - Stomper lvl01 is now unlocked from the first level - Loading time optimizations and minor bugfixes We will keep providing our players with weekly updates but now we are focusing on 1.2, the Supercharged Update due to release in a month, containing new gameplay features, new music, events, achievements and heaps more new additions to Bugvasion TD. Update #8 New animations for towers

2021.03.25 - V1.09 We are bringing you yet again a big list of changes and updates to make your gameplay experience more enjoyable: New animations and visual upgrades for towers. We have updated most of the towers with new animations or in some places a with a completely new design.
Wave length and boss health indicators added to the top of the screen, now you can see exactly how long each wave is going to take and how much health the boss has left. The HUD can be turned on/off with the TAB key or using the on screen icon so you can see the whole screen uninterrupted. The rechargeable towers can now be recharged any time. Until now the player had to wait for the towers (Magny, Poison Gas and Laser Guard) to completely run dry before recharging them, now it can be done any time. The price of the recharge depends on how much it has to be recharged. Other changes: - current level number and name now displayed in the pause menu - player health loss visual indicators added - ghost icons added - minor bug fixes and optimization Next week we are planning to update some level designs, work on the tutorial and do some more optimization so we can shorten the loading times. Update #7 Tactical View added

2021.03.18 - V1.075 A new feature has been added: the Tactical View lets you plan your defenses easier by showing you the enemy spawn points, their paths and movement directions. You can activate the Tactical View by pressing R or using the icon on the top of the screen in-between waves. Before the first wave the Tactical View activates automatically, after the first you have to turn it on if you want to use it.
Changelog: * added tactical view - in between waves you can turn on the tactical view with the R key, it shows you the enemy spawn points and pathways * the difficulty can now be changed even in an active save slot * pop up question added when resetting a save game slot Well keep you posted! The next big update

Bugvasion TD released a month ago! We are so proud that our first game, Bugvasion TD is out for a month on Steam now with only positive reviews. However the last month also made us realize that despite getting a lot of positive feedback on how the game looks the gameplay is not on par with the visuals - so we have been actively working on new gameplay mechanics, events and a lot of cool additions that will make the game much smoother and fun to play.
What happened so far since the release: We have been listening to our players, fixing, tweaking and adding new things. Here is a brief list: - Added Russian, French and Hungarian localizations - Added speed up button - Quality of life changes - Gameplay balancing fixes - Lot of bug fixes and optimizations
Supercharging is a go! Our plans for the next major Supercharged update, coming in 6-8 weeks: We are working on a major update that will add a lot of new things to Bugvasion TD, such as: - Events - a new gameplay mechanic - certain waves will behave differently and the player will have to adapt their defense according to the situation - Supercharging - a new gameplay mechanic - all the special attacks are going to be super-chargeable several times to make them a lot stronger - Tactical view - added planning phase before every wave - Visual upgrade of the towers - New animations, updated cutscenes - New music - Achievements - Post match screen with detailed stats - Tutorial - A lot more quality of life changes
Some of the redesigned towers. Porting: We have pushed the Linux and MacOS ports back a couple of months so we can make the game better and more fun. We are also working on several console ports but those are also only going to happen once our Supercharged major update is released, so every player can get the best version of Bugvasion TD. V 1.025 The third update for Bugvasion TD is online, here is the changelog: - full localization to Russian, French and Hungarian languages, the voice acting in the cutscenes is still in English, but the subtitles and all in-game texts have been translated - modified options menu, language menu added - modified HELP screen - minimal cutscene updates - buffed the damage on the following towers: Gas Spray Tower, Shock Tower, Poison Gas Tower, Magny Tower - changed the star / health values, now you need: * 1-2 health points to get 1 star / 1 tech point for completing a level * 3-7 health points to get 2 stars / 2 tech points for completing a level * 8-10 health points to get 3 stars / 4 tech points for completing a level - lowered the health on some of the bosses There might still be a few places with texts that are not translated, we are working on these, more localization updates are on the way, thank you for your patience. Bugvasion TD is out!


After two long years of work we are finally here, releasing our very first game on Steam for PC. This is a dream come true for all of us and we are looking forward to hearing the players opinions. However our journey is not over yet, Bugvasion TDs version number might have hit 1.0 but that doesnt mean that we will stop working on it, we have many things planned for this year, weve put together a roadmap so you can see whats coming: Short term plans (within 1-2 months): Bug fixing and fine tuning - Listening to our players is one of the most important thing for us, we want you to enjoy the game and we are ready to listen to your suggestions and try to implement them in Bugvasion TD Localization - we want to make Bugvasion TD accessible to as many players as possible by translating the game into various languages, Hungarian, Portuguese, French and Russian versions are almost finished and many more are in the works Steam Achievements - We wanted to include this in version 1.0 but we had to postpone it, luckily not by much, they should be in the game within a few weeks Steam Remote Play - Adding this feature will allow players to play Bugvasion TD on their phone, tablet, TV or other PC. Long term plans (within 4-8 months): Porting to Linux and Mac Adding more levels as a free dlc: our plan is to scale up the Bugvasion universe by taking the players to space to fight the aliens on their mothership, 4 additional maps are planned as well as new special attacks and enemies Seasonal events: for every holiday or celebration we are planning to add something fun to the game, it might be a new special attack with a seasonal theme or just a new background for the main menu, our main goal is to make coming back to the game worth it with new content every few weeks or so We have a lot more things planned but so far we want to focus on the things we know we can manage in the given time-frame. This is our debut game so we still have a lot to learn, but we are ready to learn it with the players and for the players. Warning! If you had the demo or beta version installed there might be old saves files left even if you uninstalled it from your system, resetting the save game slots in-game will resolve any issues these save files would cause. A message from the developers


Bugvasion TD is releasing in 10 days and boy we are excited. The levels were already done by last summer so we spent the last 6-8 months to further develop the gameplay side of things implementing new interesting mechanics, adding a skill tree system, refining the UI and developing a funny story around the quirky gameplay. The gameplay changed a lot during development, it started out as a classic tower defense game where you have to build and upgrade towers in a strategic manner to overcome the ever growing hordes of possessed bugs. Slowly we added a few special attacks and shifted the gameplay so the player has to use both towers and special attacks in order to defeat the enemy, but we didnt stop there. Special abilities were the next thing, these are passive helpers and only really work together with other tools, they dont damage the enemy by themselves. Combining tools in a creative way was the next step. Now if you use the Rolling Death special attack, light it up with a Magny Tower and roll it over puddles of gas placed by the Gas Drop special ability you can light up half the map and seriously hurt the enemy. Now there are more of these combinations in the game, but we want the players to find them and use them to their advantage. Finally weve added quite a few static defenses like glue tubes or PEZ dispensers, these are a part of the level designs, their use is limited but if the player uses them strategically they can be a big help in the fight. After release we are planning to do localization first, Portuguese, Russian, Hungarian and Deutsch language versions are already in the works but we wont stop there, there are many more languages planned. We also want to bring the Bugvasion TD experience to other platforms, we will keep you updated once we have an ETA on any of the ports. New and final release date announcement

Dear Players, Weve decided to postpone the games release by a few weeks just to make sure that we are launching it in the best possible shape. This is our first game, we are not going down the early access route and we dont want to dissappoint you by delivering a buggy, unfinished product, we hope you understand. Bugvasion TD - Play to Defend


I was a big fan of Micro Machines on Sega Genesis back in the day and I always wanted to adapt that art style to a different genre, so here is Bugvasion TD, a tower defense game where you have to protect your house room by room from alien possessed bugs. Our strongest asset as a team are visuals, our goal was to make a game that not only looks good but feels good as well, and its also a lot of fun to play. Bugvasion TD aims to mix the Micro Machines looks with the tower defense genre bringing colorful levels and quirky enemies to your screen. However this is not just a build-your-towers-and-sit-back kind of experience, you have to actively maintain your towers, use special abilities and attacks, combine your tools to defend your home room by room from the alien possessed bugs.
