How is HTTPS Everywhere working for you I find it breaks often.

Never had a problem with it.

Honestly, I'm one of those folks who didn't take the supposedly no-brainer precautions to prevent tracking and use HTTPS earlier (though I have been using uBlock for a while now, and am on Firefox which has built-in Tracking Protection), so I am ashamed. This video spurred me to install said add-ons; I may look into other security measures too, for the browser and beyond on my PC. Thanks Hex!

+Relsré really glad I could help. It's hard to find the ballance between security and usability but I think the extensions I covered are a great start.
If you want the next step from here for security then run your web browser through a VPN and don't sign into Google. But that's a little further than most people need to go...
Or you could have a virtual machine that runs generic web browsers that have a fixed state to return to after every reset. Really once you get on that road it becomes a mini game of its own... But I live in the UK, where our government has no respect for our privacy.

Gotcha...and I can understand the frustration that comes with needing to jump through all these hoops to secure yourself, sigh. I am at least glad, and very grateful that there are many people, groups large and small out there who make these tools to protect the layman.
