With this, I want to bring attention to the latest series of updates that King Boo has enjoyed: mostly centered around lowering the barrier of entry even further. These latest updates were triggered by my own daughter (3yrs old) who is just starting to show interest in video games but struggling a little. Indeed she kept falling off the map and I was confronted with the fact that King Boo failed to deliver on its mission: to be an absolute easiest entry point into gaming for young gamers. There are, for now, still places where the player can fall (at moving platforms or bridges) but 99% of all edges are now protected. Furthermore I happily borrowed a feature from my other game (Double Trouble) which are on-screen arrows that guide to the nearest pickup. I've had some feedback now and then that some of the bigger levels are too challenging and this should help players that have trouble finding their last pumpkin or whatever :D Both of these features can be enabled/disabled from the pause menu which could be interesting for parents to try to push their child to try and beat the levels at some point with for instance fall protection disabled! Lastly, various bugfixes and code improvements were installed. The latter especially should address some of the technical debt that had accumulated in this project from it being essentially a learning experience. I'm happy with the current state and it's giving me good confidence towards future updates. I also want to thank everyone who has engaged with me in any way (since release, really). I love reading the reviews, I love hearing about how your little ones are having a good time! Anyway, hope you all enjoy! Spread the news! Kind regards, Nicolas

Hi all, Some bugs were resolved with this update, including the blocked bridge on lvl2 when edge protection was active. Another feature is included with this update: you can now enable/disable hints from the pause screen. Enabling hints will add an on-screen arrow that points in the direction of the nearest pickup. This "soft" helper should help players to find that last pickup that they're looking for. Looking forward to your feedback! Kind regards, Nicolas

Have fun! As always: I'm glad to hear of any problems you may find. I'll be happy to solve them ASAP! Kind regards, Nicolas

Upon popular request, edge protection/falling protection is currently under development. Expect a patch soon which should lower the difficulty threshold for young players even further! The option will be available from the pause menu and can be disabled for seasoned veterans of King Boo.

Hi Everyone, I'm pleased to announce that more King Boo content is coming: I've heard your feedback and I'm confident that what you're looking for in the next update for King Boo is simply more content. So that's what's coming up! At this moment, King Boo consists of a short tutorial level followed by the main large level adventure. When the next update comes out, there will be a choice of 6 levels, including the two available now. On top of that, one whole new map theme is featured, namely candy land! No commitment yet on when the new update will release, but development is well underway! That's all for now! Thanks again to all supporters and let me know your comments! Nicolas

First off, I want to thank all players for their support and kind words that I've received! Avid players have noticed several small updates in the past weeks since release, and finally we're calling it 2.0. Major new features since launch include:
- A tutorial level - after feedback that some players found the main world overwhelming without gentle introduction.
- Flowers - Dirt is scattered throughout the world and with a magic touch, King Boo can grow beautiful flowers! Who doesn't like zen flower growing?
- The boat - a boat now connects two key locations in the world.
- Balloons!! - Feedback was given that some players found navigation quite difficult. Luckily now there are balloons around! When King Boo interacts with them, a bird's eye view of the surrounding area is revealed!

I'm pleased to present version 1.4! This time around a 'tutorial' level was added, explaining a bit better some of the game mechanics. Also contains minor bugfixes. Enjoy!
