With this, I want to bring attention to the latest series of updates that King Boo has enjoyed: mostly centered around lowering the barrier of entry even further. These latest updates were triggered by my own daughter (3yrs old) who is just starting to show interest in video games but struggling a little. Indeed she kept falling off the map and I was confronted with the fact that King Boo failed to deliver on its mission: to be an absolute easiest entry point into gaming for young gamers. There are, for now, still places where the player can fall (at moving platforms or bridges) but 99% of all edges are now protected. Furthermore I happily borrowed a feature from my other game (Double Trouble) which are on-screen arrows that guide to the nearest pickup. I've had some feedback now and then that some of the bigger levels are too challenging and this should help players that have trouble finding their last pumpkin or whatever :D Both of these features can be enabled/disabled from the pause menu which could be interesting for parents to try to push their child to try and beat the levels at some point with for instance fall protection disabled! Lastly, various bugfixes and code improvements were installed. The latter especially should address some of the technical debt that had accumulated in this project from it being essentially a learning experience. I'm happy with the current state and it's giving me good confidence towards future updates. I also want to thank everyone who has engaged with me in any way (since release, really). I love reading the reviews, I love hearing about how your little ones are having a good time! Anyway, hope you all enjoy! Spread the news! Kind regards, Nicolas
