Greetings Humans,
Curve Games and No Brakes Games are excited to announce that Human Fall Flat VR is coming to VR platforms at the end of this month.
We will be running a few behind-the-scenes dev blogs between now and the release of the VR edition. Today wed like to introduce you to the SneakyBox team who have worked hard over the last year to bring this challenging project to life.
The original idea for Human Fall Flat VR came from within the Human community - the talented Raicuparta. Human Fall Flat creator Tomas Sakalauskas contacted Raicuparta to acknowledge their popular VR mod and discuss bringing out an official VR version.
I am a huge fan of VR games and VR controls bring something special to Human Fall Flat. Im excited that players will soon be able to play Human Fall Flat in VR. said Tomas.
The Lithuanian connection
To bring Human Fall Flat VR to the players, No Brakes Games and Curve Games spoke to several potential developers and in the end, a local team from Lithuania, SneakyBox, was signed to do VR treatment to this awesome game.
The project development team consisted of three developers, one QA specialist, one producer, and one tech artist. The project took 10 months to complete in total. And in the end, almost a dozen people worked on the VR edition of this widely popular game.
Why not a first-person view?
Weve read your posts, and we understand this sentiment. Many of you have asked why we didnt switch to a first-person perspective for the VR port, especially as its so common in other VR games.
To put things simply, while a first-person perspective offers a more immersive experience, in this particular instance you would vomit like those kids in the Dennis the Menace movie.
Humans movements couldve been stabilized, but then Human wouldnt be Human. The game itself would have turned into a box-carrying and walking sim. Thats not the essence of Human Fall Flat, and sacrificing wobbly heads was not on the books.

By maintaining a third-person perspective, the original Human Fall Flat experience was preserved, while still providing a satisfying VR adaptation. The wobbliness adds a layer of chaos and unpredictability, and the stable third-person camera lets you keep your lunch in your stomach, where it belongs.
Favorite things to do in VR
We asked SneakyBox team about their favorite things to do in Human Fall Flat VR and the top activity was throwing friends out of the map and then dabbing to mark the occasion. There was also a lot of love shared for the physics puzzles that usually require finicky hand movements. They feel more intuitive in VR, as the player has better hand control and coordination. (Oh, and its easier to cheat-climb the walls too!)
Thanks for reading and see you in the game!
