Were excited to bring forth this update as our Q1 Quality of Life update. The main focus of this update was to level up the current set of characters skill sets and kits and make certain characters a bit more fun to play. We also have a whole host of global changes - Find skills can now activate on vehicles, weve made some changes to how Taunt works, and the dreaded misclick on the overworld costing you focus can now be refunded!

Weve also made broad changes to the in-game encyclopedia, reworked tooltips to provide more pertinent information, added a few new settings, squashed a bunch of bugs and smoothed out a few areas of the game. We are once again asking the Kraken to drop more loot.

Great news we're extending our Workshop Level Creation Competition until July 16th, 2024! We're still searching for that perfect level that truly captures the spirit of Human Fall Flat.


Key Reminders for Your Submissions:

Themes: Choose from Lost in Time, Heists, or Fairytales, and make sure you have fun!


Human Fall Flat Style: Take inspiration from classic levels like Aztec and Castle, where gameplay mechanics such as falling platforms showcase the forces of gravity and momentum. Incorporate elements like a pendulum motion on a swinging lantern or using a pole for mechanical advantage to pry open doors. Leverage, exemplified by placing a pole under a slab and jumping on it, is another key concept. The goal is to creatively integrate these physics principles creatively, keeping the spirit of the game's beloved levels alive.


Keep it real, especially for the fairytale theme: Miniature and Underwater are great examples! In both levels, the fairytale element comes from the creative and imaginative design of the environments. The charm and wonder are enhanced through the level's strong visual themes, not through breaking the laws of physics. This approach allows for a magical feeling while keeping the gameplay rooted in realistic mechanics. For example, you might need to navigate through a small-scale model of a town, but instead of using magic to move objects, you use levers, push buttons, and apply force - all based on physics principles.


We believe there's more creativity out there, and this extension is your chance to shine! *

Humans! We just got back from Gamescom and all we can say is what a ride. During the 5 days of Gamescom, we managed to meet so many Human: Fall Flat players and fans. As well as making many new players fall in love with the game then and there.

Back in September we started the first ever Human: Fall Flat Skin Competition giving our loveable Humans the task of designing their very own outfit based on a job or profession.

It was a real challenge, but we were able to narrow down the hundreds of entries to just ten favorites and then it was up to you to vote which five designs made it into Human: Fall Flat.

After counting each and every vote, were excited to unveil the five winning designs!

Thrilling Humans with extreme snowboarding, candy cane rope swinging and epic firework battles, the Christmas Lobby has been a fan favourite ever since it first appeared back in 2017. In fact, it's so good you could almost call it a fully-fledged level!

To keep the festivities going throughout the month of December, our much loved 'Christmas Lobby' will be set as your default playground on Steam, to welcome you and your friends on your continued adventures!



As always, the Christmas Lobby can be played by up to eight Humans, and it's packed with precarious platforming, colourful mini-games and plenty secrets to discover - including its own Steam achievements.

The industrious and puzzle-packed level 'Factory' was one of the biggest highlights of our first ever Workshop competition back in 2019.

New level 'City' is an urban dreamscape packed with futuristic new sporting challenges. Humans can partake in hilarious versions of bowling, crossbows and basketball as they explore the level's busy neon-lit rooftops. There's also a brand new experience coming your way like nothing seen before in a Human level. That's right, you can pilot your very own drone!



As always, you can play with up to seven other friends as you soar through the sky and explore every nook and cranny.

Factory was the joint-winner of 2019s Human: Fall Flat Worldwide Workshop competition, which challenged our fans to a new level for a chance to win $10,000 USD and get their creation featured in the main games campaign. We're so excited to finally unveil our next free Human: Fall Flat level and the first of our Workshop competition winners!

Our first winning level, appropriately named 'Thermal', was made by Manuel Nowak (AKA wity Krab) and bagged its creator $10,000 USD in prize money last year.



In 'Thermal', players venture from snowy peaks to underground caverns in search of gold. You and up to seven online friends can interact with massive mining machines and manipulate rising air thermals to traverse giant caves. Or you may find the soft glow of the camp fire too comforting to leave behind...

'Thermal' has already been downloaded by over 222K Human: Fall Flat players since its debut on Steamworks last year and with todays free update the level will be part of the games official level roster making the content readily available to all players from the main menu.



This update is the latest in a long line of free post-release content which ensures Human: Fall Flat players continue to receive meaningful additions to the game they love long after its launch.

Back in June, to recognise (and reward) the Human: Fall Flat community for the unbelievable new levels theyve created via Unity, Curve Digital and No Brakes Games launched the Worldwide Human: Fall Flat Workshop Competition offering a staggering $10,000 prize for the creator of the best level created using Workshop tools.



The esteemed creator of said level, judged by Curve Digital and No Brakes Games to be the most innovative, exciting, challenging, or just plain mind blowing will also see their creation immortalised as an official level release for Human: Fall Flat alongside fan favourites Castle, Aztec, Dark, Steam and Ice.

To say we were overwhelmed with the quality of the entries would be an understatement. In fact, so remarkable was the quality of the Human: Fall Flat communitys work we decided one winner just wasnt enough

So, without further ado, wed like to announce the TWO winners of the Worldwide Human: Fall Flat Workshop Competition EACH receiving a massive $10,000 prize and the honour of seeing their levels immortalised as official levels within Human: Fall Flat.

Thermal

Our first winner is Manuel Nowak (wity Krab) the creator of Thermal. Our team of judges were particularly impressed with the possibilities for replayability, the fact that co-operative and online multiplayer had been considered and the overall quality of the level design and visuals of Thermal. Incredible work Manuel.



Factory
No less impressive is the work of our second winner, Tyler Ehninger (Gotcha) the creator of Factory. Our judging panel were delighted with the possibility for players to play through areas in an order of their choosing, the addition of Easter Egg radios to find and the consistently excellent quality of the aesthetic and play mechanics of Factory! Well done Tyler.



At this time we'd also like to thank all of the entrants for their efforts but with special mention going to the following - VodkaZombie for the wonderful Copper World, Masaicker & YurisCat for their amazing series of maps, Singularity, Singularity Playground and The End Of Singularity and to Blasphemy for the co-op puzzler, Island Resort.

Both Thermal and Factory will be headed to Human: Fall Flat via Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch in early 2020 and represent just the start of our plans for yet more new free levels and free skins for the game. Back by popular demand, the Human Fall Flat Christmas Lobby makes its triumphant return to Steam featuring a smorgasbord of snow-covered delights.



The first thing youll notice is that each Human is equipped with a fireworks bazooka ensuring each venture into the lobby is an impromptu display of wonder. Just watch where you point that thing.

One of the most popular features of the original Christmas Lobby was the festive Steam Train. Its back. All aboard! Jump in and drive forward and backward around a track that loops around the entire level. Pull the points levers to switch sections and ensure you discover all the lobbys wintery secrets.

The Catapult now has a brand-new position. Perfect for launching players to the very top of the ski slope for a spot of snowboarding. And is that a sledge?



Snowblowers, Candy Canes, giant Snowmen, Christmas trees, Angels theres so much on offer here that you may just forget to play the level you were planning to.

All this new content will also be available to play with in the Steam Workshop - alongside assets from our most recent level, 'Ice'!

We hope that all our Human Fall Flat fans will be able to enjoy a well-earned rest this Holiday. Its fair to say that with two new Job-inspired skins also dropping on Steam on the 12th this will not apply to everyones favourite wobbly Human. The Skydiver skin provides a sense of professionalism to any free fall plummet, while the Train Driver skin is a must for any locomotive fan.

Is that a Christmas-themed steam train we can hear in the distance? Toot toot!

Its been incredible watching our fans enjoy free Human: Fall Flat level STEAM since its launch back in August. The weird and wonderful ways youve all found to explore this new dreamscape have really taken us by surprise. Thank-you so much for all your support.

But we hear you loud and clear: nothing says thank-you like new content

Its time to grab a wooly hat and button up those coats. Today were excited to announce that brand new free Human: Fall Flat level ICE is available to download right now! Hooray!



With its chilling winds and slippery platforms, ICE is the first winter-themed core level to fall into Human: Fall Flat. Caught in a snow-laden new wonderland, players will have to conquer perilous cliffsides, dangerous drops and elaborate wooden contraptions as they make their way towards the levels snowy peaks.

There are plenty of new items scattered across ICE too, including frozen blocks that serve both as convenient but slippery platforms and a vital part of new puzzles. Keep your eyes peeled for beams of light breaking through the clouds on your travels. Something tells us those ice blocks wont last in the sunlight. Oh, and did we mention there's snowboarding?



As with all new levels, ICE can be enjoyed with a friend in local co-op or with up to eight humans online. We cant wait for you to give it a spin. Just wrap up warm!

GOOD NEWS, the ONLINE CO-OP is back!



Hi Humans,

Following the release of the new level "Dark", some of you were asking for the online CO-OP mode to be back, we've worked on this and bring it back to the game in this update!

We've also worked on various features and bug fixes, Please fin below the complete patch notes of the update.

Minor Feature / Game Mode Additions:

• Brought online CO-OP back as a feature after fixing numerous bugs associated with its functionality.
  
• Fry Me to the Moon achievement now available to unlock.

• Game Object Fixed the 'legendary' unbreakable second padlock in the Castle level (that's accessible through the stone bridge behind the Stables checkpoint).
  
• Multiplayer Fixed an issue where players couldnt connect to their Friends via the Friend Games menu if their Friend was in another players game.
  
• Multiplayer Fixed an issue where repeatedly joining & cancelling between Public and Friends lobbies caused major sync issues in-game and in split-screen.
  
• Multiplayer Public Invite only lobbies no longer allow people to join them without having an invite.
  
• Mac Dark Fixed the amount of light that was appearing from the Mansion when Bloom was enabled in the Advanced Video Options.
  
• VFX Dark Fixed the smoke VFX for the FrankenBob launch. It should now correctly resemble the smoke you see on the lit torches elsewhere in the level.
  
• Fixed minor graphical issues seen throughout the Dark level including misplaced polygons, flickering and incorrect textures.

We are super-pleased to officially announce the release of the new content update that includes a brand new level called "Dark" and four new Christmas skins to customize your Bob! We also want to inform you that more new content for Human: Fall Flat is planned for 2019, including new levels and skins... so stay tuned!



"Dark" takes place as Bob is dreaming of a night-time area, set under the haunting glow of a full moon and complete with classic horror tropes and imagery. With all sorts of tricky puzzles and devious contraptions, "Dark" will have you messing with magnets, electricity and, of course, Bobs signature wobbly physics! This stage is available to play in single-player, two-player CO-OP and online multiplayer modes.

Launching alongside "Dark" today is an all new set of four Christmas themed skins: the Christmas Pudding, Turkey, Present and Gingerbread Woman.




Finally, this update brings also a lot of minor improvements (CO-OP button, lobby friend filtering, multiplayer name tags, level carousel changes etc.) plus a lot of bug fixes.

It's incredible to see the journey Human: Fall Flat has made since being completed in the Summer of 2016.
You were so active and supportive that I wanted to say thank you by releasing the Aztez level and with so many requests I could not help but research online multiplayer.
It seemed impossible (due to the game mechanics and trying to keep it all synchronised) but thanks to your support and kind words we managed to get a working online multiplayer mode into Human: Fall Flat.

The next most prominent feature request is to add Steam Workshop, which was attempted one year ago.
But due to the added multiplayer mode causing the game to change so much, the old workshop implementation became pretty much useless.
After seeing so much demand, and in response to all your hard work unlocking the Seasonal Holiday skins, today I announce that the workshop will be the thing that I will dedicate myself to working towards AFTER the holidays.
The exact features and functionality will become more evident after some experiments are carried out in the new year. Stay tuned to find out more then.

In the meantime, I leave you all with one more present challenge.
If you can all collectively deliver 30,000 present, you'll unlock for every Steam user the Santa skin, just in time for Christmas.
And a special present for all the most voted for community skin, the Ninja, will be available tomorrow as our Christmas present to all.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally come – multiplayer beta testers can now play the entire game online with their friends.



Yep, from the opening to the Aztec, all of Human: Fall Flat is unlocked for online multiplayer. We’re going to leave this build with you guys for a few weeks before we push the mode public, so please do continue to try to play the game in as many unexpected ways as possible.

A couple of other tweaks to tell you about:

• Holding TAB in multiplayer will now show you the player names
  
• Reload checkpoint in the pause menu is enabled for clients, respawning only their characters
  
• Added “lock level” option in the lobby settings to present someone accidentally progressing to the next level
  

• / list – displays a list of players in the game
  
• / mute – N – mutes/unmutes the player with number N
  
• / kick N – kicks the player (only works if you’re the host)
  

Hello Humans, and welcome to this week’s multiplayer update - which today unlocks the Power Plant level.



A couple of wider updates debut in this build – we’ve enabled the in-game shell, which can be accessed by hitting ` (top left key). Feel free to tinker with the commands, which can be viewed by typing "?" [enter]. If you’re struggling with specific context for an individual command, type "?" followed by the command name to see its usage.

We’ve also bumped fog control from the comma and period keys into the free-roam camera.

As ever, have fun with this build – but do expect the occasional issue. We’re aiming for full, public release of online multiplayer towards the end of this month.

Thank you so much for being part of our online journey as we head towards a full public release of Human: Fall Flat multiplayer.

So far we’ve seen Bob wobble across land, fly through air in a catapult – and now it’s time to take to the sea, as we unlock the water level for you to try in online multiplayer.



This update also brings with it a couple of fixes – if you’re hosting, you should find things a little less jittery, and we’ve nerfed an issue where certain combinations of players would break the server. We’ve also made it clearer how to start the co-op experience. As ever, thanks for all of your feedback.

Hello Humans! Welcome to this week’s new multiplayer build.

As mentioned last week, we’re excited to invite you to into this early preview of how the final online multiplayer levels will work – and today we are unlocking the Siege level in addition to those we premiered last week.

In addition to a whole new level to enjoy with your friends, we’ve implemented a couple of new camera features.

You can now adjust the game’s field of view and play with the camera smoothing so that the game displays and moves to your own personal preference.

Access these settings in Options >> Controls and play with them as you please.

For an optimum online multiplayer experience, you should ensure that the best PC – capable of running the game at 60 frames per second or higher – is selected as the game’s host, and that the ping between it and the other players is under 100ms. It is playable with a higher ping, though you will find time-sensitive actions like jumping and climbing more difficult.

Whilst we work towards a full, public release of the multiplayer beta hopefully next month, you should expect there to be some teething problems, so please do bear that in mind if you decide to try this beta.

For those of you who have yet to opt in to the beta, instructions for participating are detailed below.

How to access the multiplayer mode beta
• Open Steam
• Highlight Human: Fall Flat in your library
• Right click and select “Properties”
• Hit the “Betas” tab
• Enter the code: “OnlineMultiplayer” into the black box and select “check code”

• Your game should now automatically update

Hello Humans!

It’s with huge pleasure that we’re now able to offer you the first official sneak peek into the world of online multiplayer.
From today, anyone who wants to experience a world with many Bobs can select the special beta branch and dive straight in (full instructions below).



It’s still very definitely in alpha, so please do go in with an open mind and expect things to be less than perfect. We’re opening the game up a little at a time – so while there are only four multiplayer levels available right now, we’re aiming to update the game every Thursday until everything is unlocked.

We’re really excited to see how you get on with this - please do continue to send us your gifs and post videos of your exploits as you uncover new ways to play.

We anticipate making the multiplayer mode available within the main game towards the end of October where access will be simpler. But we know there are some of you out there who just can’t wait, and so we are delighted to welcome you into the all new world of Humans: Fall Flat.

Hello fellow Humans.

There has been a lot of speculation since our anniversary post – not to mention some cheeky in-game detective work – so we’d like to officially reveal that online multiplayer is coming to Human: Fall Flat soon.



But while its formal launch is a few weeks away, we will soon be officially giving anyone who is interested the opportunity to play with online multiplayer as it enters beta – which could be as early as next week.

This mode won’t be anywhere near finished – it initially only be available in limited levels, and we can't offer any tech support for issues you may encounter – but if you are eager to play around with other humans, we’ll reveal how to get involved next week.

Even more excitingly, this update is just the start of what we have planned for Human: Fall Flat.

We’ll have much, much more for you over the coming year – so stay tuned for more info.

Today marks the first anniversary of Human: Fall Flat.

Hello Humans,
What a journey it has been. From a small prototype to hundreds of thousands of players across PC and console – every single one of you has played a part in writing Bob’s story, and I could not be more grateful.

Since first launch, we’ve been working hard to expand the game in line with what you want to play. And whilst I need to remain cryptic for just a little longer, I’m pleased to say that one of the most requested features is not too far away.

Stay tuned for more information about how to access experimental new features over the coming few weeks – I’m really excited about what we’re bringing to Human: Fall Flat and can’t wait to welcome many more Humans into Bob’s world.

Over the last weeks, I’ve been spending time helping creators with the Alpha Workshop and also rewriting character customization based on feedback received so far.

Here’s the kinds of things I’ve been hearing:

“I want to customise my co-op partner”

“How do I lose the hat? I hate health and safety.”

“Can I have a wardrobe to swap and change my custom designs (just like Cher) as I wish?”

“I saw this really cool skin, how do I get it?”

And finally, “What the hell is a mask?”

By taking into account all of these requests (and many others of a similar nature), I’ve devised the following features to be implemented in the customisation menu in the next update:

Undo/redo for painting – Did that last paint stroke ruined your beautiful creation? Undo it and go for the perfect take.

Simple masking – Just like masking tape. Select the parts you want to paint and just paint till your heart’s content. Each piece of clothing has its own pre-set masks, like the main colour, secondary colour, etc.

Simplified webcam process – Select the parts that you want to be textured with a webcam, press “TAKE PHOTO” and then smile (if you want to) while the timer counts down. Fully integrated to painting and includes undo & redo.

Improved UV unwrapping – UV unwrapping is how the game maps a 2D object (eg. your face on the webcam) onto a 3D surface (Bob). The changes to this will help increase the precision for different textures especially around the face region.

Got no painting skills at all? – Just pick primary/secondary/tertiary colours for different parts of the character and you’ve got your own unique look.

Co-Op buddy - Customize both the main and co-op character independently of each other to create your very own dream team.

Skin presets – Save as many skins as you like and use them when you like.

Wardrobe – Mix and match clothing designs for the head, upper body and lower body to build your own custom character.

Controller support - New customize has full controller support, except the manual painting where mouse is the only viable option.

Skin workshop – Publish your fabulous creations for others to enjoy and subscribe to skins others have created.

Custom mesh – Is Bob’s hard hat bringing you down? Use custom mesh to replace it or even the whole character. Create your own model or use an existing mesh of matching proportions and the game will automatically rig it to the character bones. Upload your models to the workshop allowing everyone to use them in their creations.

More workshop

There are additional feature to level workshop as well. Over the coming weeks I will make some video guides on using the workshop to create your own levels. Here's a quick summary:

• Wall volume editor - no more struggling with unity cubes trying to create level structure. It's as easy as playing Minecraft.
  
• Mansion level prop library - now you can use some assets from the actual game. Like trees, columns, some of the ground pieces, etc. Eventually each of the levels will be decomposed into reusable assets and exposed for you to use.
  
• Sound engine redesign - this was neccessary to allow authoring of audio fx, ambience and music for your levels. Alpha2 has a preview of the new sound engine and several sounds from the mansion level compiled as a reusable library. Combining the sound engine with the signals will serve as a base for the mechanical components (like elevators) that will be exposed in the next Alpha.
  
• Unlimited amount of subscribed levels,
  
• Full controller support for workshop functionality.

I've got exciting news for many of you and I'm sure you can guess what it is from the Headline alone. Please find below a message from Tomas, the creator of Human: Fall Flat, that explains the ins and outs of the Human: Fall Flat Workshop.

Hello fellow Humans.

It is exactly two months since the game was launched and it is the first day of our journey together. Because today, I am super excited to bring the long awaited workshop functionality to Human: Fall Flat.

Let’s start with the basics. The goal of this initial build is exposing a limited (but complete) functionality, together with guides that will enable you to create rigidbody based parkour levels. A few assets from the actual game are included: buttons, pressure plates, automatic doors, indicator lights and the beloved exit sign! When combined with Unity primitives and custom models you can create levels similar to Mansion, Train, Carry or the Mountain.

Eventually, more functionality of the game will be exposed consisting of motors, ropes, breakable things, etc. as well as the tools to create the soundscape. Also the library of props will be expanded to empower those of you who have no modelling skills creating fun and good looking levels.

I’m rewriting all the components for Workshop use as they are quite user unfriendly in the actual game, meaning you have to tweak all the settings to get them right. And they have A LOT of settings – some redundant, some working totally opposite to how you’d expect, others make no sense unless you know how the algorithms behind those components work.

For this release I have focused on the following areas:

• Making it very fast to create and iterate a level, and then test it out in the game. I wish I had the tool when I created the original content. For example, after adjusting some gaps I had to rebuild the whole game, get to correct checkpoint and navigate to the area in question. Now I can simply select “reload level” from the pause menu and it replaces the level around you.
  
• Exposing essentials like a level, checkpoint, fall triggers, level pass triggers,
  
• Make very clean and intuitive API for things that get exposed. Again rigging a button is super simple – you choose its behaviour, how much force it will provide as feedback and its travel distance. In original game I was tweaking every type of button and door by manipulating joint properties and trying to get these parameters right by testing forever.
  
• Getting a solid signal framework – levels are rigged using a signal framework that communicates between components. As the framework evolved, I totally changed the architecture a couple of times, and was adding more things without trying to be overly consistent. So I have like five different behaviours for different buttons each suited for a particular need, and you don’t want to know how many different servo motor implementations there are (loads).
  
• Based on that framework, exposing the most essential components – interpolation for light intensity, interpolation for emission textures, automated doors and the buttons (wall buttons, pressure plates, or custom buttons) which can interact with physics and/or touch, and expose different behaviours like switches (one button switches the signal and on another off), activate while pressed (e.g. pressure plate), or toggles (e.g. elevator buttons in the current game).
  
  I will try making the new levels using the workshop tools – in the end you should be creating at least as good levels as they are in the game, and using your imagination even better ones.

An Update from Tomas, the developer of Human: Fall Flat.

Hello, and welcome to the first in a series of blogs which will hopefully keep you informed as to what’s happening behind the scenes with Human: Fall Flat.

First of all, can I thank each and every one of you for your support so far. Human: Fall Flat was a completely solo project – from visuals, music, level design, puzzles – everything was created by me. Developing games can be a lonely business at the best of times, but when you’re solely responsible for everything… well, it can be a tough challenge.

Of course, when the game is released and you see so many people playing and enjoying it – well that’s the greatest reward. I’m still surprised by how some of you are solving puzzles and having fun. It continues to bring a smile to my face.

The launch itself was really exciting. I’d basically locked myself in a room for two weeks beforehand, working long hours in order to finish the game ahead of release. On the day itself, I travelled to my summer house here in Lithuania where my friends and family were already holding a launch party. The game launched at 8:00pm Lithuanian time – everyone cheered when we saw the game up there in the main capsule. It was so exciting watching the numbers tick up – we celebrated a thousand sales pretty quickly. I went to bed buzzing.

The prototype had enjoyed some success on itch.io – but you never know how a game will do. I used to enjoy architecting business software, but after spending a year with Human Fall Flat I finally found my true passion. Thankfully, it looks like Human: Fall Flat has done well enough to sustain me in games – it’s a really exciting time.

For the first week or so I spent virtually all my time reading reviews – from both players and press – and watching videos. I was eager to get feedback from a much wider audience. It was great to see people really enjoying the game – I didn’t make the game for myself so it has been brilliant seeing how people solve the puzzles in ways I never could have predicted.

That said, when you’re making games, no matter what you do – there are things that you miss, things you only start seeing when a bigger audience starts playing.

With Human: Fall Flat, there were initial issues with some of the gadgets in the later levels. Additionally, there were checkpoints missing. It was really humiliating seeing people get stuck and trying to work around – missing half the level. We’ve fixed these issues now – but it was tough to watch some people getting frustrated.

Once we’d tweaked the game here and there, I started looking into ways of how to address some of the most requested features.

People have been clamouring for more content and Steam Workshop integration in order to be able to create their own levels. After a couple of weeks researching the best way to go about it, I’ve actually now got it up and running. So I’m 100 per cent confident we will be introducing Workshop support soon – and then I’m really looking forward to seeing what the community creates. If the desire is there, I’m happy to open up the game even further. Look out for more news, soon.

I’m now beginning to think about new levels for the console versions – which, of course, will also be integrated into the PC build. I hope to share some thoughts with you next time.

We’ve *loved* seeing videos of your adventures within the Human: Fall Flat dreamscapes – it’s been absolutely hysterical seeing the ways in which you’ve been solving puzzles and having fun.

Whilst there’s a lot of Human: Fall Flat work going on in the background, we wanted to issue a small update which fixes a few things based on your feedback

Theater Mode
The Theater Mode is a slightly refined version of the development workarounds we used to record gameplay footage. It offers you much greater control over camera angles, timings, etc. which will enable you to create your own mini masterpieces starring Bob. Want to focus some more on specific details of the custom skins you’ve been creating? Position the camera wherever you like and show off your artistry to the world.

First Person Mode
Also now available is the new First-person Mode. Highly experimental but utterly ridiculous, this new camera option will enable you to see the world through Bob’s eyes. It's a debug feature rather than a new game mode, but we figured you'd like to have fun with it.

Jump to checkpoint
We’ve also enabled some additional options which will help you jump to specific parts of the game.

These are all offered as experimental features. Aside from halting achievements once enabled (which can be reenabled by returning to the menu screen and starting the level again), they may cause the game to behave in unexpected ways.

Thanks again for playing the game - it's been a wild ride, and this is only the beginning. Keep an eye out for future updates (we are looking into Workshop support). But in the meantime, please do send us your videos @HumanFallFlat

We’ve been blown away by the reaction to Human: Fall Flat’s release. It’s been a long journey from initial prototype to full game – and Tomas was hoping to take a few days off but he’s too excited about the future of Human: Fall Flat.

First off, we’ll be tweaking a few things here and there – it’s clear from player feedback that some areas need a little refining. Now that you’re all playing the game it’s clear that the numerous ways to solve the puzzles can present problems. Additionally, the co-op mode could be sign-posted better, so we’ll be addressing these issues first.

Once this is done we’ll be adding in new features and today we can confirm the first one - greater freedom over the camera movement so players can create even more dynamic footage of Bob and his escapades. We’ll also be looking into how users can create their own dreamscapes, we’ll let you know as soon as we have something to say about this!

Work on the console versions has begun in earnest and we can confirm that these will feature additional dreamscapes, which we will, of course, offer as a free update to all you PC players as soon as they’re ready.

Finally, once again, thank you all for your support. We thing you’re going to be seeing a lot more of Bob in the future!
