The planet's surface became uninhabitable over a century ago. Today, we - the remains of humanity - struggle to survive without electricity and light. Dreams of a better future died a long time ago, but a recently discovered mineral brought a spark of hope. Lumen - crystal of high energy potency can be the last chance for our struggling civilization. This mineral can drastically increase the odds of our survival. We have sent Scouts, our brave miners, under the ground. Its almost impossible to survive there, but we dont have much choice. A settlement was built near the estimated deposits of Lumen. It may sound pretty simple. Just dig and collect, but no one came back from there so far. New Scouts keep trying and I believe one of them will save us. If they succeed, I will record more tapes. If they fail Well, there wont be any energy to do so nor will there be anyone to listen to this.
