v0.20.39 - Feedback changes

This is a small update based on some of the issues and feedback received. Some of the changes are pretty big still though and affects the game quite a bit. Like the base movement speed rebalance and increased mining and building range. The movement speed when fighting bosses fully buffed up with potions etc. will still be about the same. You may have to restart Steam to get the update.

Added ability to control the main menu camera in a more direct way by clicking and dragging outside menu.

Changes/misc


Placing a door reversed now no longer affects auto door and other mobs using them. Increased mining and building range by half a tile. Non-weapon items now no longer reduce your movement speed when using them. Increased base speed of players from 30 to 35. Increased base speed of a bunch of enemies. Reduced speed potion and mobility cloak speed bonus. Changed new world creation process, making difficulty options more visible.

Fixed placing objects continuously sometimes messing up the place rotation.

    • Start your adventure and explore the infinite procedurally generated world of Necesse. Mine, fight, craft and gear up to conquer powerful enemies that drop unique items. Start a settlement, travel to other islands with unique biomes, monsters, loot and recruit settlers on your way.

    Travel alone or with your friends

    Necesse can be played solo or with multiple people straight from the beginning. Progress with your companions and fight scaled bosses all the way to the end. Choose your weapon and gear to fight, change it up at any time, or mix and match to find the best setup for the situation.


    Explore unique cave systems

    Mine ores and find treasure to craft better armor, weapons and trinkets. Encounter challenges along the way and refine your strategy to overcome spider nests, vampire crypts and more. Bring your newfound loot back to your settlement and settlers to use.


    Build and defend your settlement

    Recruit settlers, care for them and have them work on your farms, animals and workstations. Trade with them and defend their homes from raiders. Make a storage system, cooking stations and alchemy table to supply your next adventure and encounter.


    Other features includes:

    • Find, collect and style up with cosmetics, pets and mounts.
    • Adjust the difficulty on the fly to keep it challenging.
    • Create circuit networks and traps to kill incoming enemies.
    • Host a dedicated server for you and your friends to play on.
