Update #15: Trials, Chat and new content!
Hey folks! Hope you are ready for the holidays! We just added a bunch of great stuff to the game for this update! You can now play Trials (available in the main menu) in single-player mode and set your score! It gets to very challenging levels! Also there is a chat system in the game now that you can activate with the D-pad and send in-game messages to the other players! Hope you enjoy playing Havocado during the holidays!

Update #14: New Tutorial, Ice Axe, Bug Fixes
Hey folks! We have a free weekend this weekend so expect an influx of new players. Mostly bug fixes this patch but we did add a new tutorial at the start of the game and a sweet new melee weapon, the ice axe.

- Invite-Only games should work properly now
- Fixed a bunch of non-networked props in various levels
- Fixed some weird sound bugs with music stopping and Mute enabling itself randomly
- Fixed issue where player gets stuck on a vehicle if another player grabs it
Known Issues
- In some rare circumstances invited players dont notify the server when they are killed (exit and re-joining should fix this)
- Hands and feet sometimes get stuck in various objects.This is a PhysX bug and we cant fix it. BUT it is fixed in the next unity update so it will be fixed as soon as we update to Unity 2019.3.

Hey all! Weve been updating the build a bunch. The tuning has been in flux but its settling in now. Thanks to everyone who took the time to give us feedback!

- Added a lot more air control to allow players to recover from falling off the level
- Prone butt slide doesnt allow you to spin or move

Hey everybody! The massive GUI update is live! Weve completely redone the interface for creating and joining games of Havocado. This should make it easier to find a game to join and to generally get around in the game.
Were also trying a totally different tuning for the game: its fast fast fast! You now automatically pick up weapons. You also HUCK stuff when you drop it now. Anything can be a weapon if you throw it accurately. Weve added a dash move to the basic punch which helps to move around quickly and to dodge. Weve also added a wall jump to make it easier to climb large structures and to make getting around easier. Its pretty different. Let us know what you think!
Also due to multiple requests weve added a mouse-centric control scheme. If you join as a keyboard and mouse player, your character now aims at a cursor and uses WASD to strafe and move.

Hey everybody!
Burnables and breakables are live on the main branch. Woo! This includes the new Bridge level as well as a bunch of fixes. The progress of making all the game objects breakable and burnable is ongoing so expect stuff that isnt breakable yet to get there eventually. Weve also altered the player on fire state. Weve also retuned the Havocado form, Backhoe, and Jetskis since they were feeling a bit weird after the PhysX upgrade. Feedback on those most welcome. <3 -Webble

- Rotation lock doesnt engage when grabbed on to heavy things to prevent physics explosions. May have some unintended consequences - keeping an eye out.

Hey all! Were ready to start rolling out two new, big, intertwined features: BURNING and BREAKING.
Breakables
Our intention has always been to make the environments destroyable. For this first version, were using a hand authored approach. That is, for each breakable object we design and build the broken version and hand tune it. This gives us a lot of control over how things break, though it is very time consuming. Were investigating procedural mesh shattering but for now this method is stable, good for physics, and feels good. The main downside is time: it takes a while to authour broken versions of levels by hand.
Burnables
Flammable objects have come to Havocado. This system is really neat; each burnable object has a Propagation Matrix that determines how fire spreads through the world. This should lead to intuitive fire spreading throughout the level. We think it looks really cool! Leon has done a fantastic job authoring this system :). In addition, the player can now catch on fire. The player can also spread fire to other objects. The whole thing is a hilarious burning mess. We hope you enjoy it and find a bunch of new interactions we havent thought of yet.
As we work our way through the levels, were maintaining a Burn and Break playlist with levels that are currently being worked on. This will be set by default when the game boots, but you can switch back to All Levels by changing the playlist.
Note that this update is on the EXPERIMENTAL branch. Well push it to the main branch once its stable. Comment or hop on the Webble Games discord if you need help switching to this branch.

- Changed the climbing to be applied at a point at the top of the player which gives climbing a very different feel
- Removed the forward force for climbing - may add it back at some point but for now its disabled to make climbing more stable

With this update Aqua has invaded. The weapon spawners are brimming with team Aquas favorite weapons: Shark Launchers, Water Sprayers, Crabthrowers, Eel Guns, and the elusive Sea Kings Trident. Enjoy!

We decided to do a small update this week and push back the big Aqua update just a little bit so that it doesnt overlap with E3. We have a new level featuring a water wheel, some new secrets, and two new Aqua weapons for this week.

Hey all! This week we have a level with a new dynamic were testing: the whole level can be steered and driven around like a vehicle. Weve also added a special kind of grenade that creates a localized zero gravity field. As you do.
Weve also made some big improvements to character stability. The characters should recover from physics explosions a lot more gracefully, especially in the local version. Were still working on the networked player, but this should still be a big improvement. This should make grabbing on to other players, pulling them around, and hanging off of them actually possible. This was always the intention but we hadnt figured out how to make it stable enough to really work. Now it does, and we think it adds a lot to the game. You can now pull and push other non-stunned players into fans and water. Weve been having a lot of fun re-learning the game with all these new dynamics. Let us know what you think :).
The secret puzzle in the Moon Pool level is now 90% functional. For those who found it already: great job!

Hey all! This week weve also added a new gun: SHARK LAUNCHER. Pretty self explanatory, tbh. Just point and shoot. Then run. Probably best to run.
Weve also done an overhaul to the way that grabbing works that should make climbing better and easier. The player now maintains a list of all grabbable objects around them and tries to grab the nearest thing, sorted by importance. This means that you should be able to grab what you want a lot more naturally. For example, if youre falling off a cliff, you should be able to grab on and save yourself a lot more often.
Theres also two new secret in progress levels and another level involving flying drones. Enjoy! <3
