"Stunning...looks like Monument Valley and plays like Grand Theft Auto set in the world of Blade Runner" (Vice)
"Gorgeous...Tokyo 42 is shaping up to be something pretty special" (Kotaku)
Greetings Players!
We have a new patch for you today! We address some critical issues and make some additions aimed at bettering the general game experience.
Highlighted entities
A massive part of Tokyo 42 is the isometric viewpoint and one of the more difficult issues that this creates is the way that a player can get lost behind geometry when rotating the camera. Weve thought about this a fair deal and one of the things we wanted to try was making important entities show up as highlighted when hidden behind the world geometry.
So when you next boot up Tokyo 42, you will notice that we have done this. The player is highlighted blue behind terrain, while enemies, bullets & other projectiles are highlighted red. Weve found that this helps the eye keep track of whats going on, and were very excited to hear what you think of it.

Bug fixes & balances
We recently released Smaceshis castles and were very happy to see many of you trying the great lord Smaceshis challenges. What we were not happy to see was that some missions were actually impossible to complete. Weve now made sure that all missions are completeable, and have even re-balanced some of the more difficult ones. For this we would like to thank the community for their feedback and patience - youve helped us a great deal.
There were various other tiny bug fixes that have made it into this build too , some more important than others - but as always we are available here on the forums or at support@smacgames.com, and would love to hear whatever feedback you have.
Happy almost holidays,
SMAC
