Soldiers, a new peview build for the upcoming update 0.9.0 is now available! This preview is soly focused on optimization and loading times. It does contain several smaller bug fixes and improvements but this is currently not the focus. We know that loading times can sometimes be long in this game, even on older and slower hard drives. We took the time to modify the engine and implemented a new compression algorithm, which is as efficient as the old one, but a lot faster at decompressing data. We also modified the asynchronous level loading and asset organization. This in total can improve loading times significantly and under the right condition can cut the loading times in half.
