Improvements on shortcuts, interfaces, music and much more !

The following features and improvements have been implemented in version 1.3.1.

New Features:

Added a sound fade effect between different tracks.

Added a new visual for exploration stones.

Display the amount of experience points to be gained for exploring the area.

When the player quits the game, it will now pause and open the menu.

Added a new shortcut to open the map.

Added a new shortcut to interact with your companion.

Improvements:

Improved player icon on the map to indicate orientation.

When the player respawns, the companion will also respawn at the den.

The following features and improvements have been implemented in version 1.3.0.

Added chapter 3 of story quests : accompany your friend on a quest for his memories, meet a fairy, challenge a boss, reach difficult areas, learn the story of Pandora and much more !

The following features and improvements have been implemented in version 1.2.2.

New Companion AI :


  • your partner can now follow you and adapt to your speed
  • your partner attacks the animals you attack when he follows you

Improvements:

By default, the player speed is set to run mode rather than trot mode

The following features and improvements have been implemented in version 0.4.0.

Added photo mode to make it easier to take screenshots by hiding interface elements.


  • Added a button for activating photo mode and the associated shortcut.

Improved interactions and overlaps between interfaces:

  • When the death message is displayed and the player opens the menu, it disables.
  • When the respawn message is displayed and the player opens the menu, it disables.
  • When the player respawns, other UIs update correctly.
  • When the death message pops up, the spawn or call button for its cubs will disable, then they will properly update when the death message is closed.
  • When the menu is displayed, the button of reproduction or call of its small ones is deactivated, then they recover correctly when closing the menu.

The heart-shaped particles appearing after the success of a seduction or a reproduction, instantiate themselves at the position of the player and no longer follow him when the latter moves.

Hunter view sphere shadows have been removed.

When the player fails his seduction, a screen appears to inform him that his potential partner has left and that he must find another one.

When the player enters the game, a fade occurs.

Change in fatigue system:

  • When the player has no more fatigue points, then he can no longer run until he has obtained at least 20 fatigue points again.
  • An alert appears when the player is too tired and can no longer run.

If the player's babies die, then the babies search button disappears.

The new boar family

Since Update 0.3.0, new members have joined the boar family which is now made up of males, females and babies.

The male (reworked):
- Robustness : 50 health points
- Experience given increased : 10 -> 15 experience points

0.3.0 Release note

The following features and improvements have been implemented in version 0.3.0.

News:


New odora system / hunting view:


  • The odora system is activated by pressing the H key (default key), or its icon at the bottom right of the screen.
  • When the hunting view is active, odor particles appear. Their color is associated with the animal they represent.
  • As you approach one of the odor particles, you will see which animal it corresponds to and how long it has been since that animal has been there.
  • To hunt a particular animal, you only need to follow the path of the odor particles associated with it. Be careful, several animals of this type may be present, so be sure to watch when the animal had passed by to check the correspondence between all the particles.

Added two new types of boar (female, baby) and overhauled male boar statistics.

Added player footprints.

Added the quest to increase at least one of the player's babies to level 10.

Added hints during loading screens


Improvements:

Player's offspring rework :

  • Player's baby hunger bar drops much less quickly.
  • When the player's babies' hunger reaches 0, their health begins to decline until they die if they are not fed.
  • Added colliders for player babies.
  • Modification of the player's baby experience depending on his level: at level 1, the experience bar is only 20 points and this increases by 20 points with each level gained. (Previously, the experience bar was 100 points regardless of level.)
  • Each piece of meat given to babies now grants 20 experience points.
  • Fixed cases where player's babies would not eat despite having a piece of meat placed next to them.

The options are back in the main menu.

The quest panel title has been added.

The transition between day and night has been significantly improved and is slower. This transition is also carried out at sky level.

0.2.0 Release note

The following features and fixes have been implemented in 0.2.0 update.

News :

The day and night cycle has been added:
oThe day lasts 15 min while the night lasts 7 min 30 in real time.
oAn audio track for the night has been added.
oThe position in the day / night cycle is saved automatically each time the player logs out.
A new customizable input system has been implemented. This system is compatible with the different types of keyboards.
Camera sensitivity adjustment options have been added.

Improvements and changes :

When exiting the stealth state, the player's speed is automatically adjusted in Run mode, regardless of the speed he was in when he entered this stealth state.
When the player is in stealth mode, he no longer loses exhaust, instead, it regenerates.
Messages are disabled when the menu in-game is open.
Now the screen darkens around the edges when the player falls asleep to indicate that his field of view has been reduced.
The message indicating to the player the level required to reproduce, when approaching his companion, is no longer removed when the player goes too far from his companion. It can only be removed by clicking on the "Close" button.
The options button in the menu has been removed. The options are now only available in the in-game menu.
The "shortcuts" button and the associated panel of the in-game menu have been removed. They were no longer necessary following the addition of the new input system present via the options button of the in-game menu.
The tutorial quest about the player speed has been split into 3 separate quests: walk, trot and run.
When the player has no more quests in progress, a message is displayed in the quests panel.

Balancing :

The sensitivity of the default camera has been reduced.
Light intensity has been reduced by 15%.
Meat left over after eating an animal now refills 25 health and 25 hunger instead of the maximum amount as before.
Animal carcasses eaten by the player now refills 25 health and 25 hunger instead of the maximum amount as before.
Experience loss resulting from death no longer affects level 1 players.
The amount of experience required to go from level 1 to level 2 has been reduced by 50% (40 => 20 points).
The maximum angle of the ground where the animal can walk has been increased by 25 (40 => 65 ). This allows the player to safely cross hills in the terrain with higher slopes.
When the player presses sprint but is not running or is in the stealth state, his stamina no longer decreases (and he is not in sprint mode).
Bears will now spawn a little further away from the player's initial family den.
The speed of the rabbits was reduced by 20%. Since the rabbits are rather difficult to see, we felt it was irrelevant that they were also very fast.
The range at which the player can eat an animal carcass has been increased.
The rate of health degeneration when the player's thirst or hunger reaches 0 has been decreased by 33%.

Hot-fixes:

The position of the animals while swimming has been corrected and adjusted to the water level.
Fixed the case where health kept degenerating while thirst was no longer at 0. (As a reminder, health degenerates automatically if thirst or hunger is at 0).
Fixed the case where thirst would no longer degenerate when the player was drinking while it was at 0.
When the player loads the game, he respawns with a position closer to the ground.
Auto-save has been enforced after gaining experience.
Cases where the player could fall under the map have been reduced.
Other UIs are no longer display when the options UI is open.
Other UIs are no longer display when the instruction UI is.
The main menu can no longer be opened when the options panel is open
The main menu can no longer be opened when the instructions panel is open
Correction of the French translation of the "Back" button in the options UI.
Improved and fixed the function to cause an animal to return to the ground when it has passed below the map.
Fixed the English translation of the message received by the player when he dies.
Fixed cases where the player's basic attack would no longer reactivate when closing a UI.
Fixed cases where stamina no longer regenerates when it drops to 0. Note that the time lapse of a few seconds between degeneration and stamina regeneration remains.

Release note for version 0.1.2

The following features and fixes were implemented in version 0.1.2.

Improved functionalities :

Accelerated time when the player is asleep. There is no longer any question of holding down the button associated with the action of sleeping to speed up the time.
Optimized system when the player is sleeping to fix the lags associated with the acceleration of time.
Options and instructions present in the main menu have also been added to the in-game menu.
Removed save button from in-game menu. Note that automatic saving remains and manual saving was not necessary.

Balancing:

Reduced experience loss on player death. The player now loses only 10 experience points instead of 25 points previously.
Increased bear attack from 20 attack points to 25 attack points.

Fixed display of baby stats when the player was reconnecting to the game.

The following features and hot-fixes have been implemented in the 0.1.1 release.

Statistics :

Fix of the abnormal behaviour of exhaust where, in certain cases, it wasn't regenerating properly.
100% of the exhaust is given to the player when he logs back in to the game instead of loading the last saved value.
100% of the stamina is given to the player when he logs back in to the game instead of loading the last saved value.


Eat/Drink system :

Fix of cases where the player could eat when there was no meat nearby.
Fix of cases where the eat UI wasn't showing off properly.
Change of the drinking sound.


Menu :

Fix of cases where the stats instruction text wasn't showing up entirely.
Fix of errors in brood instructions statements.


Interactions (den, partner, quests) :

Fix of errors in the french translations in interactions pop-ups.
