World Wide Hack is on Steam NOW!

We have launched World Wide Hack in Early Access after over 4 years of hard work!

It was a long, exciting, and hard journey and it does not end here. We are moving forward with you towards simulations of worlds with more and more hackers, protectors, and freelancers, everyone with his own goals in this computer network universe. We can't wait to see these networks get alive with your hacking activities, cooperation, fights, creations, and exploration.
Early Access release state
After lots of testing and debugging, we delivered you relatively stable training (single player part) and the first 2 (of 5) levels in the multiplayer part of the game. We will continue in the testing process and gradually release next quests and content after our testing interactions probably regularly on monthly basis. We decided to leave all tools in-game even though some of them, which are not needed for finishing released quests, contain some problems you can encounter. We will fix and improve them also in those regular releases together with quests in which they are used.
What to expect next
During the next few days, we will gather mainly reports of some critical problems and needed improvements and if needed, we will try to release them by end of this year. Our next step will be adding support for Linux (Ubuntu and probably runnable on Fedora and Debian).

World Wide Hack 100% funded on Kickstarter

Hello everyone! World Wide Hack is currently on Kickstarter! It has hit 100% and is now successfully funded. The Kickstarter campaign will end in 3 days, so you can still back it.

For this occasion, we tried to translate the current dev version of the game into numbers for you and give you an overview of what is already inside the game you have just backed. And it surprised even us how the games scope is already quite massive! See for yourself:

 • 43 quests and 125 options on how to finish a quest.
 • Each quest includes 2 to 10 nodes, which you will explore while doing quests
 • Quests nodes include 779 of various documents.
 • Each node owns an NPC or an organization, which falls into 36 various professions or organizational divisions represented in 544 non-quest documents.
 • An information system, QuanTech, is extending the story with 80 more documents.
 • There are 111 different commands, tools, and services to control OS, analyze or protect nodes. Additionally, you will encounter 40 various exploits, viruses, and other hacking tools.
 • The world network that extends dynamically includes at start 729 subnets and more than 4000 nodes.
 • There are five levels with increasing quest difficulty, tool effectiveness, and density of players for one subnet.
 • Thats all in code length of 157822 characters and text. Imagine those characters compressed into books, and its like having written 13 books of 250 pages!

We will include you, our community, in decisions about the direction of further development of the game and so if you like to have your impact on it, keep in touch. You can take part in our community.
