Ad Wars is a multi-genre adventure game where you travel all over the Internet to destroy ads, once and for all!The game is divided into 3 episodes, where each one of them is a completely different adventure with it's own type of gameplay. You'll find yourself jumping and shooting the mischievous yet endearing Gengens in Super Freemium Lands, taking on all sorts of monsters RPG-style in Clickbait Kingdom and playing the role of a roguelike detective in Download Highways. Oh, and did we mention that it all starts with Bullet Hell mania?
Story
Fate dealt humanity a swift and merciless hand one day. In what came to be known as the Ad-Pocalypse, anti-ad forces fought relentlessly against Ad Corporations but were completely decimated. Now, overrun by ads, the world is far from what it used to be, and it's up to no other than Alt, the sole survivor of this cataclysm, to wage a last stand and free the world from the bane of ads once and for all.

Hello Ad Hunters!
After months of hard work, we\'re back with a Double Update! We ended up combining updates v0.4.6 and v0.4.7, which now means there are tons of new content for this update, with the main focus being Download City and the Vortex Zone.
The update launches this Thursday, August 28!
Download City
Welcome to Download City a massive hub with five unique districts to explore. Each one brings its own flavor, secrets, and challenges.
Previously players only had access to a small starting area and the level Access Point, but starting this update you will gain access to the entire city, with 6 total new areas to explore, 2 of which have story missions.

Agent Silver
And this time, youre not alone.
Silver joins you throughout this episode, helping you investigate crimes across Download City. In combat, she fights by your side, picks up items, and can even shift into her Ethereal form to capture and control enemy robots.

Vortex Zone
A mysterious new area that connects the secrets of the entire internet. Youll find a new overworld entrance, plus multiple hidden entrances scattered across older levels.

Spells
Starting this update Magna steps in with 4 different spells to cast. You can now cast them mid battle. This opens up the gameplay, as you can effectively now shoot and cast a spell at the same time.

Steam Deck Support
We\'ve been working for a long time to make Ad Wars fully compatible with the Steam Deck. This release will get it\'s own article, don\'t worry.
We can finally say that Ad Wars fully works on the Deck, and it\'s really addictive to play on.
