Happy New year! + Tap Ninja's 2024 retrospect
This year saw fewer updates to Tap Ninja while the updates themselves were much bigger in scale. Namely "Conquest": the work on this update started right in January and was released in July - this update added a whole new game to Tap Ninja and changed the direction of the game. It also saw the most engagement to the game in its history. Naturally, because of this more focus was spent on fleshing out Conquest with the recent v6.1.0 update, which seem to have been the least buggy update for Tap Ninja ever! We as a community also managed to raise over $12'000 for children in need! A massive feat! We found numerous amazing artists during the Tap Ninja's 3 year anniversary art contest!
Because of the change in the games focus, previously planned updates had to be changed or delayed. v6.1.0 was supposed to focus on the main game and expand the Holiday tasks with unique quests each week. v6.2.0 would have added social features like player profiles and leaderboards. The old roadmap features of "Artefacts" and "Dimensions" are still yet to be implemented as well, being delayed only slightly from the original 'winter of 2022' & 'spring of 2023' release dates... (game dev is more time consuming than you'd think)
At the moment I'm working on the v6.2.0 update, the current release estimate is March/April. It will focus on the main game and include:
Instead of breaking down the updates onto a timeline (that never works out), I'll simply note down the planned features to be implemented this year for Tap Ninja.

Another year passes, another year approaches. Let's take a look at how the last year went for Tap Ninja, and how the next one will go:

What is
At the moment I'm working on the v6.2.0 update, the current release estimate is March/April. It will focus on the main game and include:
- New main game building
- Research Tier 16
- More Achievements
- New Pets (because of generous donators during the charity stream!)
- New main game enemy (because of generous donators during the charity stream!)
- New Pet tints
- More proper weather effects
- More fleshed out weekly holiday tasks
- Dye your Heroes in more than 1 dye
- Dye your Heroes hat
- More Heroes and other Conquest stuff
- Dust & Feather transmutation
What will be
Instead of breaking down the updates onto a timeline (that never works out), I'll simply note down the planned features to be implemented this year for Tap Ninja.
- In-game leaderboards: See how you rank among your friends and the whole playerbase!
- Seasonal game - Start an almost fresh new game that lasts for around 3 months. Each season has a different bonus like x4 Gps or x3 Elixir. Compete with other players by getting as far within the season as possible and unlock exclusive cosmetic rewards for the main game! (this is essentially what "dimensions" were supposed to be)
- Personal Dojo - Give your ninja a break from all that running by constructing your personal dojo! Unlock furniture by achieving milestones in the game and decorate the place!
