It's been a long journey but it does not end here, two months ago Tap Ninja received the biggest content update to date, but it certainly is not the last one as the game is still going strong.
The charity event also just ended yesterday raising over $12'500 for the children's emergency fund under the Save the Children cause from numerous generous Tap Ninja players!

With the v6.0.0 update comes the long awaited Conquest update to Tap Ninja! Embark on establishing your settlement and conquering the enemy provinces while earning varying rewards from your spoils.
Build it
On this new island you will be tasked with constructing multiple buildings to help in your conquest efforts. Some of the buildings include:
- Castle - your main bastion, advancing rest of the buildings
- School - a place to study new technologies through different branches
- Tavern - the hangout where heroes meet for new adventures
Conquer it
The island is covered with enemy Provinces and Towns within, your job is to conquer them all. Each of the town's levels will award you with multiple rewards while conquering the whole province will award you with a more substantial reward which can include a boost to your Ninjas Elixir income, award more daily currency or even unlock another daily Quest slot.
Heroes assemble
How do you conquer these towns? Your ninja cant do it all alone, so Heroes have to be recruited for aid in this task. Recruiting happens with Scrolls similarly to how Pet summoning works. Heroes come in many shapes and sizes, so each hero is divided into a class, a faction and a rarity.
- The class determines what the hero's role on the field is with the available classes being a Warrior, a Mage, an Assassin & Support.
- The faction determines its strength and weakness against corresponding factions, the factions being Fire, Wind, Earth & Water.
- The rarity shows how many skills the hero has. Rare only has an Ultimate, Epic has an Ultimate and a passive while Legendary has an Ultimate and two passives.

The base game is not forgotten and is receiving multiple updates including:

Now what?
The update is big and comparable to a new side game being added to Tap Ninja, but the work on it is going very well and a public beta test will be available on Steam for everyone in around 24 days with the full release of the update coming roughly two weeks afterwards, if no delays occur. More medals - more fun
To fight the Medal drought the Challenge Upgrade Track has been implemented - by simply completing Weekly Challenge levels you will progress on this upgrade track, completing the track will unlock extra levels and extra Medals for completing Challenge levels.
The progress in this track is added retroactively from your previously completed levels. To earn even more Medals, the Quest rewards and Weekly tasks will now award more of them.
Each day is a new bonus
Once the Daily Bonus upgrade is unlocked, you will start receiving a passive bonus, this bonus changes with each day. So if you're going for a certain achievement and could use a little bit of help - make sure to catch the discount bonus days!
Master the Masteries
After achieving the rank of 1. Dan or above from achievements, you will start earning Mastery points, these will be used for different Mastery tracks to further boost your power. Note that you won't be able to unlock all of the Mastery upgrades!
Sharpen your mind
Another small, fun activity is being introduced - Weekly Riddles. Each week a unique riddle will be presented for everyone, solve it and be reward with a sum of Amber.

Pets, pets and pets
Three new Pets are being introduced with this update Frog - the master of Fireflies, boost their gains and catch them automatically Turtle - the wise hermit, boost the away income while gaining discounts with Gold Dragonling - the gracious being, boost your Coin gains and the Firefly luck To speed up the bonding times a new consumable is being introduced - Pet Treats. Pets that have this treat active will receive bonding progress even if they are not by your side, while if they are, the bonding progress is doubled! The Pet Star upgrade costs have always been slightly ridiculous, so with this update the costs and how many Stars you receive from double summons has been changed - costs are reduced for later levels and increased for early levels
Legacy achievements
With this update a couple of harder Achievements will reward unique Legacy Achievements, this is to show your dedication before they become easier to earn. Unlocking these Achievements after the update won't reward appropriate Legacy Achievements. These Achievements will include: - Big Brain Move (Tier 11) - The Pen is Mightier than the Hammer (Tier 7) - 6. With this update the Gold income should be comparable to the pre-v5 income, meaning that all of the Achievements are now reasonably achievable once again. Another is to the Elixir costs for unlocks after the Shrine - they have been increased. Why? The end game was simply too unbalanced and unreasonably too fast, there were two ways I could have gone with the balancing, either decrease the Elixir bonuses or increase the Elixir costs, the second option was chosen. Because of this, the Elixir bonuses have been boosted to compensate the increase in costs. Apologies about the continuous number changes, but I'm hoping that this is the last of the balancing change updates. If all goes well then the work on v5.1.0 is going to begin, as a sneak peak it will include: Tier 14, unique achievements, 3 new pets, weekly riddles, and more. Skill Elixir costs for early and end game increased. You've probably noticed that the game has received some balancing changes. Some of you might have questions about why even do a full rebalance, or, in other words, "Why destroy the game?" - Simply put, the problem was with the way Elixir was acquired. The best strategy to gain the most Elixir was to Ascend, play for a minute, Ascend, play for a minute, and repeat. It's nice for players who have figured it out and actually enjoy doing that, but it's awful for everyone else. So it was changed for Elixir to be gained mostly from longer runs by tying the gained Elixir to the Coins value, by doing that, most of the game had to be rebalanced to fit the new system. Another shortcoming I wanted to tackle was the awful offline gains, those were massively boosted, but at the same time, the active play gains were nerfed. In making both of these changes, I messed up the game too much. The active play gains have been nerfed, they have been nerfed too far. So now come the hotfix updates, as I want to make the game feel right for everyone. I am still working on getting the balancing right, so please be patient while I'm working on it, as there will be more changes and boosts coming. I am reading all of your comments, and I want to make the game fun for everyone. Thank you to everyone who is sharing actual usable feedback on what you don't enjoy about the new changes and suggestions about what needs fixing. More idle - more fun With the new update the game will receive a full rebalance to be more idle-friendly Away income will receive a massive boost and will now be comparable to active play in the later game, Daily Quest rewards and Challenge rewards will receive a huge boost as well. The Elixir will be changed as well receiving it passively from Gold is no longer a thing, now its value is tied to the Coins value and is mainly obtained from defeating Enemies. Rebalanced all the way Every upgrade in the game has been rebalanced in a way. The Ascension tree skills as well as the Medal Upgrades have been reorganized and moved around with numerous Medal upgrade ranks being added (do not worry, everyone will get a free reset!). So please take your time to get used to the new changes. Most of the upgrades are now multiplicative instead of additive, meaning that what you see is what you get regarding the bonus. Walking Zoo Another big addition is the ability to select two additional Pets at a time! Unlocking either slot requires treating your Pets with love and raising their Bond levels to a certain level. Every single Pet now matters each pets passive boost is now active at all times, but only the selected active Pets will grant their full potential. Remember that the passive boost is stronger the higher the Pets Bond and Star level is. The maximum Bond level has also been raised from 12 to 15, so your favourite Pets can become even stronger!

First of all the Stars from Challenges will be swapped to Medals.
What are Pets?
At launch there is going to be 12 different pets, each with their own abilities, passive bonuses, a Star level and a Bond level.
While both Star and Bond levels increase the Pets passive bonus, the abilities will be unlocked once the Pet reaches a certain Star level.
There are three types of Pets Critters, Beasts and Birds. Each type has a unique passive bonus.
You will be able to select one Pet at a time to follow you and help on your journey.
And yes - you can name your pets.
How to obtain Pets?
Pets will be obtainable though a new currency Eggs.
Opening these Eggs will have a chance obtain a stronger or a weaker pet.
Obtaining a weaker pet will award you with another new currency - Critter Stars, Beast Stars and Bird Stars. The Star type that you earn will depend on the Pets type.
How to strengthen the Star level?
While obtaining a stronger pet though Eggs will automatically increase that Pets star level, you can also collect enough Stars of the appropriate type and upgrade the Star level for a pet of your own choosing.
How to strengthen the Bond level?
To increase the Bond level you have to keep the Pet by your side and bonding with it though your journeys, this will gradually fill up your pets bond meter and once its full you can spend Medals from Challenge levels to advance the pet to the next Bond level.
The Pet Collection
Swapping between pets is only doable once per day to avoid any unnecessary power gaming.
The beta focuses on pet functionality and testing if the abilities work correctly
Note that all of the pet Star costs and Bond level timers have been drastically reduced so that later Pet level abilities can be tested.
Greetings! The pet update is coming along nicely and I expect it to be done sometime in the first part of October. Here is some basics on how the pets will benefit you:
- Each pet will have a different benefits - one could make the fireflies appear more often while another one would reduce the cost of buildings.
- Pets will also have levels, these would either boost their primary benefit or unlock a new one.
- You will be able to choose one to help and fight by your side

One year ago on this date Tap Ninja was released on Android.
It's been a crazy year with a lot of improvements (a lot of bugs, some bigger than others) and some new content. I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone that plays or has played Tap Ninja (and might play).

What's Next - A lot players are already talking about and speculating about the next update, which will bring collectable companions and pets who will follow you around and help you on your journey. I don't have anything much to share about it at this point, only that the release is planned for no later than early October.
The Roadmap - In a true indie gamedev fashion I didn't realise how time-consuming some updates and bug fixes might be, so the roadmap predictions should be pushed back by one season later.
I'm very grateful for all of the players that gave it a shot and stuck around making it possible for the game to keep on growing.

Greetings everyone I have read a lot of feedback about how the game is not Idle enough and requires too much clicking. I would like to fix this issue, so here is your chance to help me out with doing it. I don't want the players to feel forced to use an auto-clicker and keep the game running all night but at the same time I want to keep the active play the most effective. I want to hear your ideas of how would you change or rework the
