A couple of weekend updates:


  • new: Log Console mode (Windows) - useful for troubleshooting
  • new: startup error reporting for Linux and Mac OS X - useful for troubleshooting
  • update: embedded Java updated to 1.8.0_121 (see bugfix with xrenderer)
  • update: further scrolling animation optimisations
  • update: 'Multi-Player' renamed to 'Custom Battle’ to avoid confusion
  • update: smart camera (automatically follows all action) will be restored after 30 sec of inactivity (no mouse movement, keyboard actions)
  • balance: few battles' difficulties were reduced
  • balance: warlock has morale increased
  • balance: abominations have no regeneration anymore
  • bugfix: xrenderer (Linux) rendering bug is hopefully fixed
  • bugfix: conversations stop game flow while they are played
  • bugfix: treasure chest will disappear on mimic spawn



Improvements in progress:

  • voiceover for undead campaign is ready. Now we are working on voiceover for humans
  • chaos campaign illustrations have been re-drawn. Now we are working on greenskins
  • world map functionality is in progress. We need now more graphics to set it up among levels.


I don't think we will be able to finish it for AOF3; nevertheless, World Map is an interesting feature. It will allow us to add more content without modifying campaign flow. Maybe also we can add workshop in the future.

AOF3 update:

  • forest campaign need its gameplay to be balanced. I will work on it next
  • forest campaign story has couple of fixes outstanding. Our storywriter is working on those
  • we have booked video producer for video trailer. Budget is quite high, thus result should be really good
