If you have ideas thatcan be fun with the theme/story/setting we're really interested in those too. One fun example is one of the scenes already decided with Soniaas a HuCowwith her cosplay outfit and all. The sky is the limit. Tell us what you've got!
We're taking suggestions for MC + female character (M+F scenes). We may decide to add a couple of MC + female character + female character scenes (M+FF scenes), so if you have ideas for those feel free to drop them here too. As always, there is no guarantee your idea will be chosen, but there is a very good chance we'll accept some of the idea suggestions from our fans! It's been a hot minute since we talked about our future plans for Prince of Suburbia with all of you, hasn't it? We appreciate your patience in waiting to hear about what's next. Let's start off with the unfortunate news first. For those that don't already know, we parted ways with auxiliaryout (the most recent artist and animator for Prince of Suburbia) a few months after the release of V1.0 (the end of the main story). He is a talented artist and animator and we wish him the best of luck with his future endeavors! So, that brings us to the next order of business. We are looking for a new illustrator and animator to help us continue the Prince of Suburbia story with a Pregnancy DLC! We've spent a lot of time reflecting in the past year about what players want and expect when they play Prince of Suburbia, and how to deliver the best experience possible. With that in mind, our two priorities when it comes to the future art for Prince of Suburbia are:

• An illustrator who specializes in MILFy type characters (aka BIG BOOBAS), big belly pregnancy, and adult breastfeeding/milky breasts content.
• An animator who specializes in Spine. The main game was animated using Live2D, and we feel like we pushed it to its absolute limits in terms of quality. Our understanding is that Spine has a higher ceiling in terms of quality and we want to explore that potential.

Do you have any illustrators or animators you'd like to suggest we reach out to? Let us know! We have also obviously been compiling our own list of artists we want to approach. Once we have a shortlist of artists we want to audition, we'll commission a few illustrations/animations from them and seek input from our community before moving forward. Last week we generated the machine translations of V1.0 into all supported languages. Our generous volunteers are currently working hard to edit and improve the translations. Once the translated scripts are proofread, we'll implement them into the game and begin testing builds in all languages. If you're interested in helping with the translation process, please reach out to us on Discord!
The final update (V1.0) to the Part 2 DLC will available on Steam in all supported languages after testing is complete (likely in late November or early December). Anyone who has purchased the Part 2 DLC on Steam will receive the new content as a free update to the game as soon as it's ready. When we started Prince of Suburbia in 2017 as a side hustle hobby project, we had no idea what it would become. While the project has had many ups and downs over the years, we couldn't be happier with where it ended up. We are incredibly excited and proud to have brought it across the finish line! V1.0 is almost here!

We're thrilled to announce that the Prince of Suburbia V1.0 update is almost here, with the base (English-only) version scheduled to be completed this month! The much-anticipated Steam release will follow about a month later, in November, when the translated and localized versions are complete.

New and remastered content

V1.0 is a significant update, featuring the most extensive free roam content we've ever included in the game. We hope that this update will be a satisfying ending to the Prince of Suburbia story! V1.0 features animated scenes for all main love interests. We're also revisiting characters who haven't been in the spotlight for a while, such as Naomi, Heather, and Lina (both versions have different art this update), each with their own animated scenes. In addition to all the exciting new content, we've also remastered earlier parts of the game during this update cycle. This includes remastered animated lewd scenes with Sarah, Heather, and Naomi, as well as some remastered story illustrations.

Voice Acting by HaruLuna

We are delighted to announce that the talented HaruLuna has provided voice acting for all of the scenes from earlier in the game that didn't already have voice acting. This update includes nearly 150 voice acting files, including the voice acting for the new content.

Revamped GUI

One of the most notable changes in V1.0 is a complete overhaul of the game's GUI (Graphical User Interface). The entire interface has been redesigned, giving Prince of Suburbia a fresh and modern look. We're on track for a fall release of V1.0, thanks to our talented artist, auxiliaryout, and writing help from Yvlan_Angel and Rachel Writes. We've added three new animations to V1.0! Previously, Naomi, Sonia, and Fiona were planned to have illustrations only, but we decided to go out with a real bang and give every character in this final story update an animated scene. Art production for V1.0 is still on schedule, even with the addition of the three animations beyond what was originally planned. Writing is progressing as our lead writer, Josselyn Stark, weaves the existing individual scripts into a cohesive update with some free roam elements. Rachel Writes is still working on a lewd scene for Lina, Catherine's boss, which includes different art for the two different versions of Lina's character. We have a few scenes left to write, including Catherine's lewd scene and a few non-lewd scenes to wrap up the story. Progress continues on the last two updates to Part 2

We have some exciting progress to share about the final two updates planned for Prince of Suburbia - Part 2.
First things first, we're thrilled to announce that the art phase for the second beach update (V0.95) is now complete! Huge kudos to our talented artist, auxiliaryout, for his amazing work. Coding for V0.95 will have to wait a bit as we finish coding an update for our other game, A Shot in the Dark, which is set to release next week. But no worries, coding and testing for Prince of Suburbia are usually the fastest part of the development cycle. Once we're done implementing all the content, we'll focus on preparing the machine translations for the Steam release. As we expected, the art for V0.95 wrapped up before we could fully dive into writing and coding. This gave auxiliaryout a chance to get ahead on the final planned update, V1.0, and work on remastering the remaining art that needs to be remastered. Our hope is that getting ahead now will allow him to take a well-earned break before we start any epilogue/additional DLC content after Part 2 is finished. After working tirelessly on Prince of Suburbia for multiple years, he has earned it!
To speed up the release cycle for V1.0, we've brought on board two new team members to assist with writing: Rachel Writes (you can check her out on DeviantArt and support her on Patreon!) and the talented Yvlan_Angel. We're excited to be on track to achieve one of our top goals for 2023 releasing V1.0 of Prince of Suburbia! V1.0 is shaping up to be a grand finale, offering all the characters a satisfying end to their respective stories. We are currently wrapping up art creation on the second beach update (V0.95) to Prince of Suburbia - Part 2 and beginning to plan the final update to the story (V1.0). We plan to release V1.0 as a free update to the Part 2 (paid DLC) during the second half of 2023. Note: V1.0 will not be your last opportunity to see scenes with your favorite characters! Our plan is to continue creating content as standalone stories that exist outside of the main story of Prince of Suburbia. (See last month's dev log for more information about our future plans.) Below are the characters that will have art in Prince of Suburbia - Part 2 (V1.0) that we are soliciting suggestions for. All scenes will be 1-on-1 MF scenes (MC and the female character).

Frequently asked questions

Here are some questions we get frequently from our players on Steam!

What updates are planned for Part 2 (paid DLC)?

• The first beach update (V0.9) was already added to the game last month. This update was free for all players who had previously purchased the Part 2 (paid DLC).
• The second beach update (V0.95) will be the second free update to the Part 2 (paid DLC). It will also be free for all players who have previously purchased the Part 2 (paid DLC). It's estimated release on Steam is late Spring 2023.
• The last update to the main story (V1.0) will be the last free update made to the Part 2 (paid DLC). It is estimated to release in the second half of 2023 and will be free for all players who have previously purchased the Part 2 DLC.

When will the game leave Early Access? Will the price increase?

Once all of the remastered art and voice acting has been added to both Part 1 (free demo) and Part 2 (paid DLC), the game will move from Early Access to full release. Our plan is for the game to leave Early Access later in 2023. A price increase for Part 2 (paid DLC) will likely happen at this point, more details to follow as we approach this transition.

Are there any plans for a Part 3?

After we wrap up the main story with the V1.0 release, we plan to have additional DLC content with all of the characters, including pregnancy content. These DLCs will not continue the main story, they will be standalone scenes that take place outside of the main story. No Part 3 of the main story is planned. Stay tuned for more information about additional DLCs later in 2023!

Progress continues on the second beach update!

Art for the second beach update (V0.95) of Prince of Suburbia - Part 2 (paid DLC) is progressing on schedule! With the writing wrapping up for the next update of our other game, A Shot in the Dark, our team will be able to shift focus to Prince of Suburbia so we should see more progress on the writing in April. We are also looking to hire an additional writer or two to potentially help with this and/or future updates. One of our team members who works on Prince of Suburbia has had a health emergency and will be taking the month of April off. If this causes any delays with the V0.95 development cycle, we will keep players updated. We did not anticipate releasing V0.95 in April anyway, so it's too soon to say if there will be an impact beyond that. We wish our team member a healthy and speedy recovery! We are already planning ahead for the artwork and remastered scenes in V1.0 (the last update of the main story). Ideally, we'd like to get ahead on art so that our artist and animator can take a much-needed break to rest and heal his hand between the main game and the pregnancy/epilogue content we have planned for later this year or early next year. If there are any delays with the release of V0.95, a silver lining is that it will likely allow us to include some of the remastered art planned for V1.0 in the V0.95 release so that we can sooner reach our goal of a fully remastered game and moving out of Early Access! The V0.95 update includes the most complex art we've ever attempted, and we are certain it will be worth the wait! Happy Valentine's Day to all of our Prince of Suburbia fans! A FREE UPDATE has been made to both Part 1 and Part 2 of Prince of Suburbia with remastered scenes, new content, and new translations! Part 1 now has two new remastered scenes (one with Heather, one with Naomi) that are available to all players. If you already saw the original scenes, you can access the remastered scenes in the gallery (they are #13 - Naomi and #18 - Heather). Part 2 now has the V0.9 content (the first beach update). Anyone who has purchased the Part 2 paid DLC can now start the game at the beginning of the V0.9 update, jumping into the story where the previous version (V0.8) left off. The first beach update, Part 2 - V0.9 of Prince of Suburbia includes:

• 8 scenes
• ~20,000 words
• 6 new backgrounds

This release is coming a bit later than we originally anticipated, but that extra time allowed us to add translations for all the languages currently supported in Part 1 (Chinese, Spanish, Italian and Polish)! We are very excited to be able to offer translations with the initial release, as we originally did not think it would be possible. We also hope this release date will allow us to extend our launch discount beyond the first week due to the Steam Winter Sale. Pending Steam approval, Part 2 paid DLC will be discounted 10% from its launch today until the end of the Steam Winter Sale on January 5! We are happy to announce that Prince of Suburbia - Part 1 will be released TOMORROW at 5:00pm PDT (May 11th) for its Steam debut! As a reminder, this will be a game with two parts. Part 1 has been planned from the beginning to be free for players.
