Today, the German subtitles for The Hand of Glory are finally available and we're celebrating with a 40% discount! That's the highest so far!

Hey, guys, here we are again with our monthly update. This one's special, because it's the last pre-release one!
We're very excited to share what we've been doing, so let's begin right away!
We listened to YOU
The first part of The Hand of Glory received great reviews both by the press and by players all over the world (you backers included)! Not only the feedback we've collected was fulfilling, but it also helped us improving the second part. Here's the major changes you will find:
- Balanced difficulty: many of you suggested that the game would be better without too many hints by the main characters. We listened and removed some of those hints in part 2, or we changed them making them less explicit. Keep in mind we want THOG to be accessible to any kind of player, but you'll definitely need to use your brain!
- Animations: we don't want to brag, but let's say it: THOG is full of animations and videos. Despite this, some reviews claimed there were few of them and we just couldn't ignore it. We decided to try to animate everything (yeah, everything) our main characters will do, improving the quality at the same time. Did we succeed? You'll find out soon!
- Alice: We were pleasantly surprised by the comments regarding Alice and the relationship between her and Lars. Some of you asked for more space for her, and you know what? We did it. You will use kinesics again, of course, but not only. We really dig playing with Alice, we hope you'll like her game sections too!
- Death scenes: One of the criticism we received was about the death scenes in the game. We admit it, maybe we exaggerated a little as far as difficulty goes. This doesn't mean we regret having death scenes in THOG, as we feel they are necessary for the kind of atmosphere that we want to obtain. For Part 2 we will have new, truculent ways of dying, they'll just be easier to beat;
- Easter eggs: we had thousand of crazy ideas for Easter eggs, but we weren't sure if you guys would appreciate them. Now we know you all love them as much as we do, therefore we added new, funny moments in the game. Some of them are just random acts of stupidity by Lars (he can't avoid them), some of them are real secrets hidden in the game (how many have you found everything in Part 1? Let us know)!
Our work in the last month
As you can imagine, things have been dramatically frenetic during the last few weeks. Here's what we've been up to:
-Voice over: one of the toughest challenges of our lives, considering the amount of texts we have in THOG. Despite this, we wanted to bring you a quality, professional dubbing. Matthew Curtis (Lars) and Maya Tuttle (Alice) are obviously back, but we're happy about the complete cast we had the opportunity to work with. We can't wait for you to meet them all!
-Backers: during our Kickstarter campaign, some of you purchased the longed-for Part of the cast pledge, which gave you the chance to be a part of the game. We were able to give each and every one of them a role in the story. Mind that, not a simple appearance: every backer will have a role, helping Lars some way or another (or trying to stop him, even)! The work with these backers was just great, and we had tons of fun while doing it;
-Scenes, characters and stuff: we always had a rule, while developing THOG: no boundaries. This is one of the reasons we had a few delays, but we think it eventually paid back. We want the game to be rich, full of characters, animations, special shots, and so on. As a result, we continued adding stuff to the game until the very end (and we'll probably keep adding something after the release). Here's a new scene for you, enjoy!
Release plans
We're so close to the release of the game we already can't sleep at night! Here's our official plan for the months to come:
- Official release date: December 2, 2020 (yeah, we have one last slight delay, be patient please);
- Backer release: as soon as the dubbing is completely tested, probably one week before the official release;
- Backer with beta access release: you will be contacted within the next few days with a code to join the beta. Keep an eye on your email!
- German subtitles: Q1 2021. We're very sorry about this particular delay, but understand that we don't want to rush our translators. We want your experience to be as professional as possible;
- Physical rewards: Q1 2021;
- Switch release: TBA, but we're working on it!
Around the corner
It's a strange sensation, almost like being on the edge of a cliff, but we're almost there. This has been a great journey, full of joy, surprises (we'll never forget the end of the Kickstarter campaign), but also struggles and challenges. Let's be clear: we couldn't make it without you guys. Without all of you who supported us, tolerated our delays and believed in The Hand of Glory.
As always, we need to close this newsletter by asking you one last push, some things you could do to help us even more:
1- Follow us on all the social networks (except Tik Tok, we're too old for that);
2- Share our game everywhere you can (social groups, forums, your rich neighbor, be inventive)!
3- PLEASE, leave a brief review on Steam! You have no idea how much help it is for us to survive in the market!
And that's it. As always, thank you for reading and for supporting.
Stay safe, everyone!

Hi, guys, Here we are, on the threshold of the official release of The Hand of Glory that, as you may know, was scheduled for May 12. You noticed that WAS, didnt you? Unfortunately, were once again forced to delay the release, but slightly this time (especially for the Kickstarter backers)! The emergency we had to face slowed us down more than expected, hindering each and every communication among us and with other external collaborators that are helping us in this final phase. Many actors were unable to access their recording studios, and we ourselves had the same problems that every one of you is probably facing in this tough and unpredictable moment. So, whats the status of the development? Despite the adversities, we really did it. The game is complete, the dubbing is implemented, the graphic assets are final. Then why this further delay? The reason is simple: final polishing. We could release the game as expected on May 12, but not having had enough time to eliminate the imperfections which arise during the final phase of development. Just think at the audio mixing, as well as all those little, tricky bugs that mysteriously appear when youre so close to release. We really think it would be disrespectful to deliver a game that may be not optimal because of the rush, therefore heres what we decided. The FINAL release date for the first part of The Hand of Glory is shifted to June 9, BUT with an important note: all our backers will receive their Steam key as soon as we are sure we eliminated all the major issues, with a maximum delay of one week (and so no later than May 19). Here's a new gameplay video, in the meantime, showing a dialogue between Inspector Burton and Lars. We're really happy with the quality of our actors! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4Rc29aLQxo&feature=emb_logo As always, we trust in your understanding. You supported us throughout, with patience and valuable tips, and we feel obliged to deliver you the best possible product. Were almost there!

Hi guys,
Its been a while since our last update, but as with the rest of you, we got hit by the Covid-19 hurricane and needed a moment to regroup (both personally and professionally speaking).
Lets start by reassuring you: were fine, were in lockdown, and despite the difficult times, work on the game continues. That doesnt mean the pandemic hasnt imposed hardship on our roadmap, however. The coordination between our departments is more arduous than ever and some of our voice-over artists are having problems getting access to studios, causing some delays in the last part of the dubbing process. For these reasons, were forced to push back our official release to the following dates:
Part 1: May 12
Part 2: September 8
As you can see, were confident well be able to limit the delay in a way that we hope will be acceptable to you.
But now onto the good news to share what we have been up to since our last update!
Voice acting
We have basically completed all the voice acting for Part 1 and we want to reassure you about the results. Thanks to your contributions, we were able to hire all pro actors who will deliver the quality we promised during the campaign. You will find a diverse cast, passionate about the project, who are giving their best performance in every single line. Over the course of the coming weeks, we will share a few audio snippets on our social media channels, so follow us for an early taste!
For starters, we are delighted to share this great behind-the-scenes video recorded by Matthew Curtis while recording the role of Lars.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Agb3lRsD0kk&feature=youtu.be
Finetuning
While some of us are busy completing the implementation of voices, our graphics department is committed to refining all the visual aspects of The Hand of Glory: scenes, additional assets, and new animations to enrich the game experience even more. This far along in development, we can assure that nearly every action accomplished by our valiant Lars will have a specific animation (our biggest dream).
Heres a sample for you:
Newsworthy
One of the most successful pledges during the Kickstarter campaign permitted some of you to appear in the game with a dedicated article published by the in-game newspaper, The Miami Harbinger. Were happy to tell you that all articles for Part 1 are completely implemented and absolutely unmissable!
We had a ton of fun imagining our own weird stories and listening to yours (and some of them were REALLY crazy) and were thrilled to have added this pledge along the way. We can now unveil one of these articles thanks to our backer Christian, who gladly allows us to publish it.
Part 2
What about Part 2? you might ask. And wed answer: Its thriving! Most of the necessary assets are done or nearly finished, while the authors are refining the script and game design to offer you a rich, varied and passionate adventure experience. Without a doubt, we can promise a very fun conclusion to the game!
and if you wont take our word for it, heres one of the latest scenes to join the party (we have more than 100 scenes in the full game).
Thats a wrap for the March update. We apologize for the slight delay but trust that you can understand the unexpected reasons behind it. But most of all, our team wants to wish you all the good you can experience in this strange, difficult moment in time.
Stay home, stay safe (and play many videogames)!

Hi guys! Today we want to update you with a few news announcements about the game release and its format. Lets start with the latter: after long thought, we have reached the decision to split the game into two parts. This decision is to be considered purely authorial, with no other reasons than narrative ones. We just feel that what happens at the midpoint of the game is too intense to be treated as a simple cut-scene that links one scenario to another. We want you to dwell on it for a while and assimilate instead of rushing towards the conclusion of the journey. Therefore, the episodic division will remain even when Part 2 is released, just like youre watching two seasons of a TV show.
We are fully aware that many players dont like to play in parts, but this is how we feel The Hand of Glory is best experienced. Of course you are welcome to wait and binge both parts together, as its totally up to you, but our suggestion is to pause before playing Part 2. It certainly wont be a short trip anyway: our testers took 6 to 8 hours just to finish Part 1, and you should add another few hours if you want to see all the achievements and Easter eggs we have planned.
I hope you all can understand our decision and come to embrace it for the reason intended trust us, its better this way.
The wait won't be too long, as the new schedule for the two parts of the game is as follows:
Now the good bit: Part 1 is complete! Were adding voices right now and then its just a matter of testing and tweaking the audio. The April 14 release date is locked and a sure bet: well start sending out keys for the beta version to the backers who subscribed to that particular tier pretty soon (probably end of January). Were very happy with how the game is shaping up and cant wait to hear your feedback!
As always, were very open to suggestions, idea, insults (:D) so hit the comments section if you have any questions or doubts. Well be happy to reply.
To the next update!
