Hey, a couple of fixes are here!
- Fixed the direction of clickable arrows in the settings menu being reversed.
- Fixed the final and secret bosses having no rainbow effect (There is no S rank for each of them, but completion will make them glow like other fights to signify that you are done.)
- Fixed elements not pausing in an endgame cutscene.
Hey! This was meant to be a migration to Godot 3.6, but they seem to have broken some stuff. Minor stuff, but I want my program to have an application icon, so I'm sticking to Godot 3.5 for now.
- Running 4: Made Gladilade's targets glow the right color. (Too bad! Purple is a color too!)
- Title Defense 3: Made Vince more resilient to punches, now he doesn't get stun locked (Get over it you baby! You can take a punch to the butter compartment!)
- A couple of other improvements
A new patch is out! Go play it! Now!
- Fixed a regression bug where deaths in running stages aren't counted
- Fixed subtitles not appearing in one case in the final running stage.
Just a couple of small fixes

Hey all! One fix for Linux builds, piping hot!
- Fixed the ;) ;) SECRET ;) ;) part after fight 9 that wasn't working on Linux.
New patch with some issues fixed! Hopefully they didn't cause you much of a hassle.
- Fixed the checkpoint for some running stages being set to a high default value erroneously, skipping some content. (Sorry!)
- Fixed Jeffiro being able to set the timer again for his super form, effectively cheating and disqualifying him from the tournament. (However, contractually we can't remove him from the game, so that's now considered an exhibition round.)
Hey everyone! Sock It just updated to 1.0.2! Lots of changes to improve your experience, with some more to come very soon!
- Fight 4: Fixed Alpha Piston sometimes not flipping with Vort's Gravity Rush attack, and hitting his head on the rafters. Ow.
- Fight 5: Re recorded one line that was erroneously mistaken for a very bad word.
- Fight 7: Fixed the input inversion option not working.
- Fight 10: Fixed the timer not starting up again after Shotgut's special attack (He hit it with the chainsaw, we had to get a new one).
- Fight 10: Fixed Shotgut's anger issues that led him to keep attacking Alpha Piston when he's down.
- Fight 11: Fixed the wrong theme sometimes playing after Alpha Piston gets up.
- Fight 12: Fixed the boss's head being shrouded in shadows after winning the match sometimes (You've already won! There's nothing to gain from being mysterious!)
- Running 4: Made Gladilade's target more visible, and distinct.
- All dreams: Fixed the input inversion option not working.
- Fixed minor graphical text error in a late cutscene sequence
- Fixed a (very spoilery) detail disappearing in a very late game fight
- Fixed many grammatical errors. The luchador boxing glove man would be proud.
- Fixed the mixing in the song "Can you play that song again?"
Hey! It's patch season! This is a hotfix for a particularly bad bug, there's more minor fixes to come soon!
- Fixed being able to punch Jeffiro in the face during his super form, turning him back and ruining the fight for the audience while softlocking the game. (How dare you! They paid good money to see that!)
YOU HEARD IT: SOCK IT IT OUT NOW!!!
Combo based combat! Humorous narrative cutscenes! PUNCH THE FRIDGE!!!
There's a hilarious main campaign, 12 Title defense fights, CHEAT CODES (Remember those?) and more!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1957430/Sock_It/
Thanks to everyone who's supported me so far!
Minor update to the demo, patched a couple of things. * Fixed music regression bug * Fixed tutorial a bit * Fixed clouds in Fridge fight
Hi, Most of these fixes are rather small, but there are new features added too:
- Increased text speed
- Added option to hold up to star punch high
- Added option for color blind indicators for attacks, instead of just colors
- Two new music tracks added
- Various bugfixes
- A chill runs down your spine. Secret fight added to the demo.
Development is going great! The full game's entire story mode essentially just needs to be bug tested at this point. In addition, I also want to make Title Defense stages, maybe some rewards for beating the game, 100%ing, etc, and a secret boss for the main game. Thanks so much! Be sure to wishlist the game for when it comes out this fall!
Game now no longer pretends to be Max Payne forever, making the game unplayable, if the game is paused the same frame the player is hit.
Hey all! Scot- I mean ignore that This should be the last Sock It demo version! After all, I'm releasing this year! There's a few changes, some very major! Check these out:
- Fixed attributing the wrong name to Alpha Piston in the first cutscene.
- HUGE overhaul to collision systems. Sketchy hit registration and hit delays should be fixed. Also might save some frames.
- New stage designs! Cats and Vince the Fridge have new environments that you fight them in!
- Updated the title screen to look a bit better.
- Fixed sudden death music stopping on... death.
I'm also planning on releasing more videos about Sock It, like this one! Give it a watch! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kraoDclwgk&t=1 Be sure to wishlist the game if you like it! Coming this Summer/Fall!
A couple of fixes and additions:
- Rebranded to Maskii Productions (There is already a company called CodeFace, want to avoid confusion)
- Added some slo motion to star punches, damage taken, and knockdown to add impact.
- Fixed a minor ai issue with the Glass Cannon
- Made a visual and audio effect for Steaming (If you combo an opponent enough, sometimes they will interrupt your attack to counter attack)
Hello!
I've been so busy with Sock it and other things that I haven't been posting much about it. But I am working on it! And I think I'm at around 75% completion with the campaign as a whole, although there are some other things I want to do as well. Extra challenges for fights? A reward for doing them? Maybe even workshop support? I'll worry about those things when I get there, but I think they're all feasible!
Hopefully you've played the demo, but let's take a look at some stuff that's in the pipeline!
I'll just share 3 of the bosses from the fights I've worked on so far for now:
Here's Vort. He's an actor from Pluto. He also has a shield you have to hit around, and he can also flip the gravity of the stage.
The Trio of Triumph (Gladilade, Leozod, and Garold) are a much more challenging fight. While you mainly attack Gladilade in the middle, her fellow larpers attack from the sides, and even throw potions. Maybe you can steal them?
Finally, here's the fight I'm currently working on, a bit of an homage. Glass Cannon is a placeholder, I have not made enemy sprites yet. I wonder what kind of opponent will show up...
As for the cutscenes, there's a lot in store for Mike and Ashley. Here is them walking through a park.
And here is a pizza place
And here is Ashley practicing the ill advised habit of tilting in her chair. Bad Ashley. You'll fall and hurt yourself.
Lots of comedic writing went into these, you'll have to watch the cutscenes on your own time.
And finally, the running stages. There's two more that are pretty much done besides the one in the demo.
One is in a forest of some sort...
And another is, well... It's in a variety of places. What cruel machinations could be in this factory?
I'm also planning a short form dev log series to cover stuff I've made so far. If you haven't, you should check out my Youtube channel to be ready for that.

Also, if you want more stuff like this, check out the Discord channel! I post stuff there a lot!

Thanks so much for checking this out!
Two update versions have passed, the demo is now at 1.6.4. Somehow there were more bugs. *Fixed being able to punch opponents and stop them from attacking. *Pressing the start button during the intro to a fight will no longer start over the cheering sound. *Points will now be properly saved from round 1 to round 2 instead of going back to 0.
- Fixed a crash related to getting to the end of Glass Cannon's or Cats's moveset.
Very major patch, super important - Fixed a minor typo of 1 character
- Fixed two minor typos at the start of the game. Thanks to for catching that!
Steam Sports Fest is here, and Sock It is coming with it! This new version of the demo has a lot of polish put into it, so give it a try! Here's some of the big changes:
- Rewrote various lines of dialogue
- Added mouse support in menus
- Added control and attack guide in pause menu of fights
- Rebalanced various aspects
- Added new intro animations before fights
- Added animation to right before each round
- Added title card to Twilight Running
- Added funny twist to title screen
- Numerous numerous NUMEROUS bug fixes!
Hello, have a new update out: UI: *Added animation to lifebars! They animate when lowering, and glow white, and shake around a little. Ranks and Scores: *Added colors to combo ranks to enforce how cool you are! You can get bronze, silver and gold. Are you able to get the rainbow 128x multiplier? *Added colors to the victory screen to signify performance. Bronze is C, Silver is B, Gold is A, and there's a rainbow S rank. And of course, there's the obligatory brown F rank. *Added rainbow to S ranked stages in the replay menu to signify that you got the S rank. Nice job! Dialogue: *Made the intro smoother and leaner *Added like 2 jokes Other: *Made Vince the Fridge a teensie bit more stable *Improved graphics for the intro cutscene *Balanced scoring system a bit Still working on the main game, been over halfway done with the campaign for a bit now. Will be busy for a bit, but will work on it when I can.
Hi! Lots of changes to the Sock It Demo have been made to improve the experience, with some more on the way. Here's the list: Balance:
- Nerfed the final segment of the running stage, now platforms are bigger, and the whole thing is designed more fairly
- Nerfed Vince the Fridge's desperation attack to be a little easier to dodge.
- Made it so, if damage is taken at all, the combo is lost. Now it is more challenging to get points.
Visual:
- Added bullet trails to Ashley's introduction. Oooooh!
- Removed sprite filtering, so now the image is more crisp
- Added a slight rotation to bosses. Adds personality, and the effect of them being hit by a punch in the face.
- Added rope physics to the ring. (Thanks so much to NeZvers). This change isn't too notable, but the rope
- physics are being used more substantially in a future boss.
- Improved graphics, such as running skull
- Fixed audio clipping in some instances
- Fixed nasty softlock if the timer goes off with the Glass Cannon. Sorry!
- Fixed Glass Cannon falling over in a muted fashion. Honestly kinda scary.
- Overhauled tutorial animations. Now it's clearer how the game should be played based on how the punching bag behaves.
- Added link to the official Discord server. Join or you'll be isekai'd into At the Mountains of Madness! Couple more changes are underway, these will take a bit.
Hi, Been working hard on the game, come to the official Discord server tocheck it all out! There's news, screenshots, and maybe even playable content! Come join! https://discord.gg/EDwmxRQCYK
Hello, Steam Next Fest has shown me a lot of things that needed improvement for my game, so I spent a while making this demo as polished as possible for SAGE 2022. This 1.3.0 update has tons of sweeping changes, so give it a look! CHANGES:
- Completely revamped most cutscenes. Now the writing is much better, with some new situations.
- Redid all sprites for Glass Cannon.
- Redid all sprites for Ashley.
- Redid all sprites for Alpha Piston (In cutscenes, matches, and running).
- Made Vince the Fridge less janky (Now he's more consistent when it comes to vulnerability time, and with the desperation attack)
- Removed "Don't save and exit" prompt (I'd hate it for someone to completely destroy all of their progress after a really hard fight by accidently clicking this)
- Revamped Main theme
- Revamped Replay screen
- Further improved volume control
- Lots of little UI graphic changes
- Various other bug fixes and tweaks
Hi, This was a patch that I meant to get out weeks ago when I was seeing a certain livestreamer having issues with it. But I was on vacation with no computer access. Then I got sick immediately after I got home. And I got a bit busy after that. But I finally did some fixes, even though it's probably way too late now. Here they are:
- Removed reference from punching bag in tutorial (NOTE: There was confusion as to what the bag was. A couple of years ago I made a terrible parody game called Meegah Mem II. The quip was not insulting Mega Man's design, but rather a self deprecative joke about my terrible game. I'm sorry for the confusion.)
- Added punch hit sounds (Now it's more clear when you did hit the enemy. There is still a block sound when you hit a blocking opponent.)
- Added attack cues for all bosses (Now all bosses have a cue before they attack. Hopefully this helps make it clear when you can't hit them because they're charging up.)
- Added dizzy cue for all bosses (Now when an opponent is stunned, a dizzy swirl thing floats above their head and it emits a noise to let you know it's time to wail on them! It also blinks a bit before disappearing. so you know time's almost up.)
- Various audio fixes (For your ears)
- Nerfed time to mash to get up significantly (This was a huge issue someone had with the game. I playtested on keyboard mainly, I really didn't see the issue of mashing on controller until I saw a bunch of people try it and quit when they couldn't get up. Sorry!)
- Fixed cutscene names not displaying correctly (No, Ashley is not Clance.)
Hello there! I'm on vacation! And before I went, I made some great progress on Sock It! When I return, I'll make a development update so all of YOU can see what else I have in store, how far I am, and how much I have left to do. I'd appreciate it if you could check out my Youtube channel if you're interested in updates, but they'll be here too. Youtube channel Also: PLEASE leave some feedback somewhere! If you have some legitimate thoughts about the game, positive or negative, I'd love to hear it! My game can only get better if I know what people want. Anyways, thanks for reading this! I know not many will! -PowerUpT
Come watch Sock It being demonstrated! I guess I am legally obligated to say it's prerecorded or something, but don't let word get out! I'll be in chat answering questions in chat.

Version 1.1.5 is out now!
- Added context to the top of the main menu to explain controls after receiving feedback from people who primarily use the mouse.
- Fixed "Spam punches" prompt for getting up persisting after game over. (Um, sir? You can stop pressing the buttons now, you just lost.)
- Fixed the subtitles for Cats's scratches being displayed as the Referee saying "Fight!" (The subtitler has been excommunicated from all further boxing events.)
- Fixed Vince the Fridge gagging incessantly after using his final throw attack, to the point which he can't fight in sudden death (Poor guy...)
Here's the stuff added since the last community post:
- Removed ugly beta face sprite from intro. Don't worry, Alpha Piston will never use Gremlin Mode again.
- Door in apartment now is oriented in the way it opens instead of being on the hinge end of the door in a cursed sort of way, and light doesn't shine through it
- Clarified one character's weapon of choice in cutscene to avoid confusion (What is this? Clue?)
1.1.2 is out with some small tweaks for the running stage. - Removed those pesky buildings, now there is a scenic vista behind the buildings. +Added a death counter, so you know how many times you died when running. (Shame on you!)
Hey, This version of the demo includes rumble! There are rumble settings for left and right punches, blocked punches, counters, and more! It's never been easier to have a blindfolded run! Also:
- Fixed Fridge music from having the intro again

THE STRANGE ADVENTURE THAT WILL HAVE YOU HEAD SCRATCHING FOR YEARS
Sock It is a wacky, completely unhinged comedy boxing game with platforming and cutscenes. Each boss brings its own spin to the formula. Different attacks are dealt with in different ways, and each new boss has a trick up its sleeve. If they have sleeves that is. Some of them don't. But they can keep new tricks in other places!
PREMISE
In a demented future, the boxer Alpha Piston has to fight a new circuit of strange baddies. Trained by a robotic nurse and unsure of his past, he has to fight
through weirder enemies than ever encountered before, find out about the accident that put him in cryostasis, and deal with having and apartment extorted to him.
But hey, at least he gets bodyguard services from that deal!
FEATURES
- Box more than 12 crazy bosses!
- Platforming stages to break up the action!
- Cutscenes that guarantee 1 giggle (Usually around 5 hearty laughs)!
