Hi all! Have you forgotten about Karolina yet? And she remembers you! And preparing a global update! It will complete the plot of the first episode, adding a new main mechanic! The game will gradually exit the "in development" status. After the update, there will be a few more corrective to fix bugs. Further, the cost of the game will increase. So, if you haven't bought Karolina yet, it's time to do it now! There is no exact release date for the update, but it is planned to meet within 1-2 months. Thank you all for your support!
Hello everyone! After 2 weeks...I'm releasing a new update! It brings us: - Added real-time gamepad switching mode. (So far, not always and not everywhere, but the basis of mechanics is laid, and then only polishing) - Changed the save menu. (It has become more suitable for control from the keyboard / gamepad). Added animation of slot selection in this very menu. (May change in the future). - Added some new sprites for the interface symbolizing control. - Added items to graphics settings to control the quality of reflection and global illumination. - Fixed (no) video in the main menu. (It turned out that it works with no higher than average global lighting quality! I will fix it in the future) That's all the changes! As always, when adding innovations to the game, a bunch of problems pop up. But it's okay, everything is solved. By the way, I want to remind you that the fog in the refrigerator is visible only with the shadows setting above medium! How is it interconnected? Ask the engine developers! Of course, I will fix it in the future! Thank you all and have a nice day!
Hello! Today, as a matter of urgency, I released a small update that fixes critical bugs in the interface. Due to recent innovations, the settings have stopped working. Also, I noticed that switching the language in the main menu did not work either. It's all fixed. - Changed the type of settings for keyboard / gamepad control. Its appearance will still change, and the functionality of the gamepad will be improved. - There have been changes in the settings menu for 4:3 screens. At the moment, you can not control the gamepad in - settings and in save / load. This will all be fixed soon. Once the gamepad support is fully integrated, I'll be running tests on Steam Remote Play. Thanks to all!
Hello! Small update with some fixes: - Fixed a bug with the bottom button saying "text block". - Work has been done to improve the control in the menu using the keyboard or gamepad. - Now, you can not bring down the focus from the button by pressing anywhere. Regarding the last change - temporarily removed the ability to navigate through the graphics and sound settings menu, and save/load slots. In the future, these menus will be redesigned for easy control without a mouse. Thanks to all!
Hello! In this update: - Added gamepad controls! - Shader Model 6 support - Fixed bugs. Gamepad control may contain bugs, problems. Write about everything in the comments! At the moment, it is close to full control without the participation of the mouse and keyboard. But there are problems when the focus leaves the buttons, and you have to click the mouse. The gamepad mode itself is enabled in the main menu, in the future it will be automatically enabled when controlled with a gamepad. There are temporary problems with the display of control buttons in the game itself, it will be fixed in the future. The control itself is intuitive, if not, write and I will create an instruction. The controls are currently 100% compatible with Xbox gamepads. With others I do not know, did not test. Might work with the Steam API. In the future, I will add control for all other gamepads. As for the SM6, it didnt start for me, but maybe it will work for someone. Also, it will be tested and brought back to normal. In the Linux version, video playback in the main menu was gone :) Why? And hell knows! It works in a strange way. In the future I will fix it and do it for Windows too. That's all! Thank you all for your support! Write your wishes! Create new discussions, I'll read everything!
Hello! I have released a new update! And here's what's in it: - On Windows, it's now possible to use the Vulkan API. Also, when starting the game (via the steam page), you can choose which API to use. Choose from: DIrectX 12 (default), DirectX 11 and Vulkan. - A video has appeared in the main menu! But only on Linux... Why is that? I do not know. On Windows, everything works in the editor, but after compilation it no longer works. Maybe an engine bug, I don't know. But I will definitely fix it. - Fixed some bugs. - Saves from previous versions of the game may not be available for the current one, or higher! This is due to the fact that some things were not saved before, and it is impossible to boot normally. Future updates will focus on fixing known issues, adding support for gamepad controls, Steam Cloud, Steam Remote Play. For the distant future, it is planned to add some mobile graphics APIs for weaker PCs, but after the release of the mobile version. Thanks to all! And good luck!
Hello everyone Changes: - Fixed almost all known bugs. - Optimization of the current code has been completed. This update is likely to be the last of the category of fixes. Subsequent updates will be aimed at adding new content to the game. Perhaps their release will take not 2-3 days, but more. But I will try to release them as soon as possible! If you find bugs, write here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1874380/discussions/0/3274690571071343863 / Or to my email: nation.koteyka@outlook.com If you have any suggestions for the game, write here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1874380/discussions/0/3274690571071347272/ Well, or by email :) I remind you about my patreon: https://www.patreon.com/azzunyan I've put things in a bit of order there, and I post entries there every time there are changes in the game. Most often - every day. Let me remind you, with a subscription for $ 5, you can see fragments of the source code of the game, and apply them to your projects. And with a subscription for $ 20, you will receive keys for all my projects (at the moment there are 2 of them. The second is Solfeggio https://store.steampowered.com/app/1625390 /_/ ). Good luck to everyone! Thanks!
Hello everyone I have a patreon! I rarely posted anything there. Because there are no subscribers (There is no incentive.. But there will be no subscribers there until I become more active there! That's a paradox, right? In general, subscribe if you want) The cheapest subscription costs $1. It doesn't give anything yet. There is a subscription for $ 5, it will give you access to private records. Usually I put some kind of game creation process there) For example, today it shows how much the game code has decreased during optimizations. And there is also a subscription for $ 20, which has even more features. For example, handing out the keys to my games. Carolina is not the only game that I will create :) And here is the link: https://www.patreon.com/azzunyan
The second update for Karolina! It went in there: - Added fog for the first basement room. (It should create a feeling of cold and temperature difference compared to the second room. - The code has been slightly optimized. (It won't increase productivity, but it will increase development speed) - Added a hint to the main menu regarding management. (It turns out that not everyone understood how to play the game) - Added light in Karolina's body-infesting mode. (Nothing was visible in the dark room) - Removed the shadows from the light of Karolina (either temporarily or forever) ... - Fixed some plot autopilots (initially, Karolina only went somewhere herself at the beginning of the game, and now several more times. Previously, this did not work due to an autopilot bug) That's all the changes for this build! I also wanted to transfer the game to Shader Model 6.0 for Windows, but something didn't work out (engine problems). I would like to know if someone is using the Linux version of the game? If yes, write! Since the game is being developed in parallel on two operating systems, I can't apply all the cool technologies. Very sorry. The system requirements specify that the video card must have at least 3GB of video memory. However, I'm making a game on a 2 gb videocard XD Although, for development, you need more power than the end user. With certain manipulations, I change the standard memory allocation settings, and the game goes smoothly on 2 gigs. If someone has problems with a 2-gig video card - write - and I will add an item to the game settings responsible for some optimization) Although, I do not recommend using it, since it is still a crutch than a good way. Perhaps those who are on Windows do not understand what it is about, because there the organization of video memory is a little different. And the missing memory is quietly taken from RAM. But on Linux, something is wrong. When there is a shortage of video memory, wild brakes begin. In the case of our game, textures turn into terrible soap, and FPS drops 3 times. Write what you think about this. That's why I released the game before it was ready to receive your feedback) You can say that you are my testers) Do not think that I first forced you to buy the game, and then also to test it)) The game will eventually increase its price, and those who buy it completely ready - will give more money) Thank you all for your support! Thanks to the money collected, I will be able to buy improvements for my workplace, and the quality of the game will increase! Have a nice day to everyone!
So "Karolina" came out! And along with it, the first patch, a major update that increases the engine version to 5.0.1. - Initial support for Lumen technology has been introduced. - Fixed some bugs. - Slightly rebuilt the code to a more optimized one. Thanks to everyone who supports the project! At the moment, the game has a very weak plot component. But the game will evolve. Updates will be frequent! They will be even more frequent in the Beta branch, which will soon be available for general access!
