Devlog #48
The new oil rig environments are starting to look ready, although they're still missing some new props. We wanted these areas to have puzzles and enemy NPCs like the mines, so they've taken quite a lot of time for 3D modeling and level design. Here's an update video showcasing one of the three new oil rig locations we're cooking up: [previewyoutube=ilfgg-JlnSQ;full][Update video][/previewyoutube] We're also preparing to add three vests you can wear in the game. These will give you quick access to certain items in your inventory without opening it. For example, we're planning a reload vest that lets you reload by just pressing an action button, automatically loading ammo from your inventory into your weapon. For those wondering, the next update will come with a wipe because we're making big changes to fuel and want the economy on servers to start fresh with these new changes.
We're still figuring out how to get everything ready before the next update. We're considering limiting the autumn tackle box to a small collection of items or possibly skipping the box for now and focusing on adding things to a future update.
That's right! Some of you may have put two and two together and realized that as we prepare to launch a new game, we're also finally leaving Early Access. We know the game isn't bug-free, but we've achieved a lot with server performance. The game is in a completely different state compared to when we first launched. The game's various mechanics, items, and systems working together have created an environment where small changes can break things in unexpected places. This has been a big project for our small team, but we've learned a lot. We'll continue ironing out issues and bring you the most stable Longvinter experience yet with the full release. There are still problems with containers not spawning after server restarts, but we've been steadily fixing issues and will continue to do so in the future. We haven't wiped the servers in almost three months, so some problems are just now showing up since we haven't run servers without a wipe for this long.
We've already planned at least two more content updates for the game after the official launch, so don't worry there will be plenty of new things to experience on Longvinter island! We've completed all the features we made public in our first roadmap last year, and we'll continue developing new content. After oil rigs, new mounts, and animals are in the game, we're planning a full farming update with a new buildable barn and tameable animals. We're excited to share more info when we have the details ready. We also want to add more endgame content for our dedicated players who speedrun the game's compendium and other features. We're reading your suggestions on Discord and adding suitable ideas to our progress tracker for future implementation. There's sometimes a big time frame between adding a suggestion and deciding whether to include it in a future update, but we read all of them and will continue to do so. Keep the suggestions coming! Thank you, and see you all on Longvinter island!

Hi everyone! It's been a while since our last devlog, so let's catch up on what the team has been working on. With summer vacations wrapping up for our employees, we're back in full swing, building the next update. We also released a trailer for a new game, which is super exciting! We'd like to clarify some things people have been discussing, so let's dive in.
New Update Taking Shape
The new oil rig environments are starting to look ready, although they're still missing some new props. We wanted these areas to have puzzles and enemy NPCs like the mines, so they've taken quite a lot of time for 3D modeling and level design. Here's an update video showcasing one of the three new oil rig locations we're cooking up: [previewyoutube=ilfgg-JlnSQ;full][Update video][/previewyoutube] We're also preparing to add three vests you can wear in the game. Autumn Tackle Box
We're still figuring out how to get everything ready before the next update. We're considering limiting the autumn tackle box to a small collection of items or possibly skipping the box for now and focusing on adding things to a future update.
Longvinter Leaving Early Access

What's After Early Access?
We've already planned at least two more content updates for the game after the official launch, so don't worry there will be plenty of new things to experience on Longvinter island!
