Hello, We have now disabled the replication graph plugin and enabled the old system where we have build our own replication on top of. Currently only plants and dropped items use this new system so we can make sure it is working well before adding more items to the new system. Crashes should be now reduced down 90% but server performance will be worse until we can add more items to use new system. So far this week we've seen, quite lots of bug fixes and server perfomance issues. New Hardware has been delivered to EU, NA, ASIAN region servers.
We have seen promising results so far, and will continue to improve. Players who've exploiting bugs have been sanctioned and we will continue monitoring the servers, keep the reports coming.

We noticed some of the translations were poorly done and they break the UI in some of the vendors. We are working to fix these issues ASAP. We are also still working on the server performance and opening new servers as there is a demand. 2 more US servers coming today!

We're more excited than ever as the experimental version of the 1.0 update is nearly ready for public testing, and we can't wait to share what we've been developing over the past 6 months. Experimental patch notes and discussions will take place in our Discord server, so be sure to join and get yourself an "experimental-tester" role to be notified when the update is ready for testing. While experimental patch notes will be shared in Discord, the final notes will be available here when the game launches with wipe and the update goes live on all servers on February 21, 2025.

We've moved the release date three days earlier to Friday (instead of Monday) to give everyone time to play during the weekend. The 1.0 update will remain in an experimental state for almost a month, giving us enough time to polish it into what we're proud to call a fully released game.

The wipe date will be November 27th. If your region has been voted to have a wipe, it will happen on the 27th. We know players' next question will be, "What time will it be?" Good Friday to everyone! It's been so nice seeing many of you trying out the new update and coming back to the game. I hope you have enjoyed your time on the Longvinter island. If you haven't tried the new update yet, you can still play this weekend and get an Easter bunny drop. The drops will stop on Monday, so this is your last chance! **What is coming moving forward** The next major update (1.14) will not focus on adding any new major features but rather on refining and fixing the current game to a much better state. We have prioritized adding new things over fixing existing issues because we didn't want to fix everything only for it to break again after the next update. However, we now feel that it's a good moment to pause for a second and thoroughly go through all aspects of the game to make changes that will improve it. But don't worry, we will be planning and creating new assets constantly to have a big update after 1.14! Update 1.14 will also have some new features that can be easily implemented but have a big impact. We will go over these in more detail in the coming Friday Devlogs. It's been over a year since Longvinter was released, and we're thrilled to share that we're still hard at work on our beloved game. As you may know the last week has been quite eventful with the game regarding the bugs and issues. Thankfully the most crucial parts have now been fixed.

Welcome to Friday Devlog! We're excited to share that Update 1.10 has just been released, and we're thrilled to see the enthusiastic reception from the community. You can read the full patch notes here. To address some issues that were not discovered during the experimental testing phase, we have already rolled out a hotfix. Community Manager Update We're pleased to announce that our new community manager has significantly reduced response times on our contact page and allowed us to be more engaged with the community. We are already planning exciting events and opportunities for increased interaction with our players. Modding Support Delay Due to the extensive rework required on the game's code, we have decided to delay the release of modding tools. Releasing them now would necessitate updates to all mods immediately following the 1.10b update. This postponement allows us more time to refine the feature. Once implemented, joining a modded server will automatically load and install all necessary mods, making it easy for players to switch between and test different modded servers.

Due to the popular demand in our discord, All OFFICIAL EU and North American servers will be wiped today 20.1.2023. The exact time for this is still unclear and we will announce updates in the game's main menu once the wipe has been completed. We will also do some server changes in order to concentrate the community in each region together. EU servers will have only 1 PVP and 1 PVE server. North America will have 1 server for East and West. And 1 PVE server so a total of three servers.
We will be moving to a new ticket system since the Epic games system lacked the ability to easily share videos and images. Chat is usable in contact.uuvana.com We also want to clarify that the big update we discussed in the last Devlog is not finished and will not be released with this Asian server Wipe/progression reset.

All ASIAN OFFICIAL servers will be wiped today 20.1.2023 05.00 - 07.00 UTC time Due to the high number of new players currently playing on Korean servers, we feel like the lag has been getting out of hand, so we are wiping the Asian servers. This will not affect other regions. Our goal is not to wipe servers other than the ones that state MONTHLY WIPE. These are meant for the most active players who want that fresh start feeling. We are also raising the player count for these servers to 75 as an experiment. I will be sharing more info about the upcoming update in Friday's devlog. So stay tuned for that!
Happy Holiday season everyone! To celebrate Christmas, everyone can get their own Christmas hat as a steam item that you can equip and wear in the game after continuously playing for 30 minutes on any server. If you can see the hat in your steam inventory you can equip it from the game's character customization menu! There are also Christmas gifts scattered around the map for you to pick up and open. These give you a random item from the item pool of over 200 items! You can also find red vending machines near the main hubs that sell all the Christmas-themed items so you can easily decorate your house! The vendor also sells a snowball gun which is made by a community member! Christmas hat will drop only during this Christmas event
The holiday season is coming quickly and we have prepared a small update for you before the big 1.10 update next year. This one focuses on quality-of-life changes and bug fixes so you could have a smooth experience during holidays. And we have an event coming with a new limited-time hat and gun!
All OFFICIAL servers will be wiped today 19.11.2022 15.30 UTC time Firstly we need to apologize for the server instability and chest progression that has impacted all servers. Due to the high amount of loot lost we felt like we needed to wipe all progress and reset the server to its original state so it would be a fair start for everyone. Our goal is to not wipe the server and we managed to make it 3 months of no wipes. I hope this is the last time but I cannot promise anything. The game will not leave early access before all the progress loss issues have been resolved.
Populated servers have been experiencing big issues. After doing more research we discovered an issue where chests were being saved twice and this caused a huge performance impact when all duplicate chests were being spawned back into the map.

Hello everyone. It has been a while since the last devlog, don't worry this does not mean we have slowed down the development. Let's go over some things we have been working on.
Happy Halloween!
We wanted to celebrate Halloween with you and added a new scarecrow item and a pumpkin plant that you can use to craft the pumpkin lanterns. Some harbours have had small decorations done to them to make them more Halloween-themed!
We also wanted to give the first Longvinter steam items to our most active fan base. After an hour of play, you will get the first hat drop and after 3 hours you will get the second variant of the hat and community-inspired clown face that you can use to customize your character in Character customizer.
These items will drop only during this Halloween event so make sure to try out the new update!

After quite a rocky start, update 1.0.9 is now relatively stable and significant issues have been resolved including the memory leak and birds running in water. I wanted to give you an insight into what we plan to do with the next updates.

Hello all. Official servers were all wiped today hopefully for the last time. The next update is still under development but the bigger map should not require a wipe so we will update the game when we have all things ready for it.
This week's devlog will be a bit dry on new things because we are currently working hard to get bigger maps, NPCs, boats and new weapons into the game.
20 devlogs released already. Time flies so fast and I'm so proud to look back on how far we have come. Since the game was released we have doubled the item count in the game. Added electricity and other upgrade options to the tents. Character customization, quests, teams, and other great features that have really improved the game and made it already a much smoother experience. This week's devlog will still be quite dry in terms of images but I am sure next time I have some nice concrete things to show you.
Hello all. For clarification, weekly wipe servers will be wiped today as they are always wiped on Friday Other official servers are wiped on 17.7 as we have announced earlier. We know that the constant wiping is not very fun and does make the game very grindy, we are planning to make the map bigger so we can move away from wipes after the next update. We are still not sure when the next update is going to be released because we want to make it have meaningful new things. - Nilsson

The summer sale is now over but we have had a good increase in our daily player numbers and I love seeing new players try and experience the game first time. The more time a new update has in experimental the more stable it usually is when we push to the LIVE environment. Our next scheduled WIPE for all official servers will be on 17.7.2022. We want to make the map bigger before we move away from the monthly wipes. We also have heard your request for an official PVE server and we will be making one in the following weeks so stay tuned for that! Let's talk about what is coming next!
- Gas stove and ball grill should no longer disappear - Wood and resin should now drop outside stones and other objects more reliably - Sauna can no longer be placed so that it overlaps the house's interior - Ammo now drops on death - Telescopic reel can no longer be used to launch people to space - Weather stations should not generate money without electricity anymore - Improved weather station performance - Improved bird AI performance - Added a building blocked zone on the dock near Sgt. Lake and on the containers in the lake - Added turrets to the left side of the arena - Chest should now be saved correctly. Previously new cabinets spawned as regular chests after the update - Fixed issue where the chests were not spawned into the world correctly because they were missing a value.
I have to apologize for releasing this devlog a bit late because of personal stuff but better late than never! The summer sale has just started and it's so great to see so many new players trying out our game. I'm reading reviews and discussions on the game constantly and I want to hear and improve the game from your feedback. The server browser and stability update has been keeping the game relatively stable. We are planning to get the 1.0.8 to STABLE end of this week. Hi you all. New character customization and the trading update seems to have received a warm welcome. There is still a couple of issues with the player-owned vendors but these will be ironed out in the next update. NOTE: Only official servers are affected by wipes. Unofficial server owners can decide for themselves when to wipe their servers Next week there is the next scheduled wipe (17.6.2022) that we have planned. We are slowly but surely moving away from wipes and implementing the decay as a solution to preventing house overflow on servers. This month we are going to have update 1.0.7b next week to go alongside the official server wipe. And a bigger 1.0.8 update which I will talk more about in next chapters. -Nilsson

Hello, I hope everyone is having a wonderful spring. Now that we have finally got most of the features of EOS to the current standard. I have had more time to focus on gameplay and balance. Our team has expanded now and it is starting to show off in bigger updates. I'm very optimistic about what the future will hold for the game! -Nilsson
This week's update is here a bit early. Here are all the changes that made it in:
Made the server browser "show more" button work. The current server limit is 200 and this is a limitation of the new system. I intend to solve this by adding all regions to different categories and adding the "private" category. Server owners stay tuned for more info later. I now built a native Linux version and pushed that to the live branch. I hope this will allow all Linux users to continue playing our game, please comment down below if the game is working! Next, I will answer some questions I have read in the comments. Wipe will be in 13.5.2020 we are now sticking to bi-weekly wipes. Updates are not tied to wipes so I will update when I have enough content and it's been tested well. If you are having problems with the admin panel, not opening. Steam ID WILL NOT WORK. Instead, you have to use a new user id that you can find in the game's general settings. There is a bug where your own turrets will shoot you if you aim your weapon near them. This will be fixed in Friday's update. If you are getting an error where Easy Anti Cheat is not installed. You can install it manually with installAntiCheat script found in the game folder. - Nilsson

Teo has a major burnout and has not had the will to work on the game but has been searching for new members to join our team as the work has grown exponentially recently. I know that many of you have been waiting for a wipe and I was even surprised how much some of you cared for the wipe and I am very honoured about that. I will later explain why we don't want to wipe this week. But I promise next week the wipe will happen on 29.4.2022 even if the new online system is not completed by then. - Nilsson

This week I made good progress on the team system. Although it is not completely ready I don't want to make you wait any longer for it. We also spend some time this week managing our company's bureaucracy work and other mandatory things. We also are aware of the hackers that currently ruin many players' experiences. We will address this issue more in the coming weeks. For now, we will need to trust and thank our community admins for keeping the game clean from hackers as much as they can. It makes more sense time management-wise, but also there is not enough content to show off every week, content that would be in such a state that it would look good in pictures. This update should be quite relieving for the high population servers. For starters, there's a whole new island next to the main-land, and secondly, tents now decay if not upgraded in time! Personally, I feel like the speed at which new content is added is still not what it should be, mainly because of my time being divided between so many other equally as important things, and to add to it, those other important things, which are mostly business-related things, really eat away the creativity in a major way. I think we'll learn to manage that as we go forward and as things settle down a little bit! Now that the damage control is mostly done, when will we get a roadmap, you may ask? Next week! Issues with saving seem to be solved now, at least we haven't gotten any reports of progress resets on Discord, other than some random chests not spawning after a server restart, so here's hoping we fixed it, for now. There's a new tent limit that we wanted to test, so we wiped the official servers to see how it affects the available space on the island after a week. We decided to wipe all official servers because they were filled with houses. We hope the new 2 player house limit will slow down the real estate claim. Here are all the changes in today's update. - Made login smoother by adding in delay between letting players in. Should no longer spawn players in the black void - Fixed an issue where an item could not be picked up near your own tent - The arena box now respawns correctly - Fixed duplication glitch where you could make infinite wood with slow ping - Fixed duplication glitch where people could pick up the same item twice - Fixed duplication glitch when adding and removing stuff fast from chests caused some items to duplicate - Paintings now drop to the ground in houses after being picked up - Fixed auto-detect setting from putting settings too low and breaking the water - You can now dismantle your house from the workbench. You can now have only 2 active houses - Reverse rotate placeables with Shift-R - Increased ammo price - Language selection now saves - Tried to apply a fix for a kill and construction achievements - Made changes to the way tents check for other people's property. Should now let you put it down more reliably - Added Dutch, Spanish Latin America, Vietnam and Russian languages - Fixed a bug where you could get random items from James recycler by selling first and then buying back the same item. This was caused by desync between player and server inventories - James vendor UI is now removed if the player dies while it is on - Added small space between the feather and bird meat. Sometimes caused the player only to get 2 meats and no feathers- There was an error when calculating the farming hat buff effect on the harvest. The 30% reduction was actually calculated for nearly 300% buff. Now should be milder - Player placed chest can now be destroyed so they can no longer be used as fence - Energy drinks gave big movement speed buff in the status effect ended in the water. Movement speed is now correctly restored - Added the vendor price fluctuation system back after fixing the bug that caused all items to change to wood and matches. This system will drive vendor prices up and down randomly. Also, players that buy and sell stuff to vendors will cause prices to change. Buying increases the price and selling lowers it. After a while price ticks near, its original starting price. You can see the price change percentage next to the MK in vendor UI. James recycler will not be effect by this system - Changed the way player based turrets behave. They can now take damage but instead of destroying after 0 health, they go disabled for 60 seconds. We've added the first completed translations to the game, which were fully translated by our amazing community members around the world!
We used, and are still using Crowdin for this, and you can contribute to the translation of the game there! As new content is released, the translations need to be updated at the same time, so even though some languages are "100%" now, they still need constant updates in the future!

Longvinter has been out for a week now and what a week it has been! We've fixed a lot of major and minor issues and I've started to work on new content!
We are amazed at how active you guys have been on Discord, helping people, chatting with each other, giving suggestions, and helping us with the problems we've had! So, thanks for that and let's keep the wheel rolling!
