Greetings everyone, and a warm welcome to new players who have just picked up the game in the autumn sale! It's a great time to start exploring Longvinter island, and we've been hard at work as always on the big 1.0 update that is coming next year in February, which will improve and touch on nearly every aspect of the game.
We experimented with 200 player servers, and KR 1 saw a whopping 170 players at its maximum peak, which is really huge for us to see, as we never imagined a server with that many players. However, we've decided to reduce its capacity to 110 to maintain a better tickrate. Players on this server should now have a much smoother experience after this change.
We've noticed some issues with the VPN checker making false positive kicks on private servers. We'll be providing an update next week to resolve this issue. In the meantime, if you can't connect to your own hosted server and it says you're using a VPN, please bear with us.
We've separated mounts and their saddles into different items. You can now attach a saddle to any mount you like best. Saddles increase the mount's movement speed, making them a valuable addition! [previewyoutube=zvb-mfdQTj8;full][/previewyoutube]
To make the world feel more alive, we've added small birds that can be seen flying in different places or just chilling on rocks and bushes in the 1.0 update!
Until we find a more permanent solution for the Steam Deck issue, the community has found a workaround you can use to play Longvinter again today. Longvinter on Steam Deck, for compatibility reasons, works only with OS version 3.5.19 and not the latest one. If you wish to play Longvinter on Steam Deck, please downgrade your OS to 3.5.19.
