Tough Love Arena is designed for beginners, with simple inputs, straightforward options, and strong defense. However, we made sure to have something for the experienced fighting game player as well! You will find that despite the generous input buffer, there are still difficult combos to master and a very flexible meter system.
You can play Tough Love Arena in your web browser on the official site for free! However, the Steam version has a few advantages:

- Gameplay: Added throw tech lockout. Pressing any non-Throw button while getting thrown will prevent you from teching on a later frame\n
- Gameplay: Fixed bug where meter gain during a Rapid combo was not working on non-combat meter gain (eg walking forward)\n
