Version 0.7 - Multiplayer Workshop LevelsPaint the Town Red has been updated to version 0.7 and features the level editor that has been available for testing for the last few weeks as well as the ability to play levels from the Steam Workshop in multiplayer and the first implementation of the final menu for the game.
You can now also update your existing Workshop levels from the Level Editor and append change notes.
A note on failure to download levels in coop games:
When joining a co-op game with a Workshop level you don't have, the level should be automatically downloaded. If Steam fails to download the level in time you will disconnect and it may end the multiplayer game. If you find Steam consistently fails to download levels, you should clear your Steam download cache as this is likely the cause: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=3134-TIAL-4638.
I've had this happen a few times during my testing and since it's relying on Steam to download the Workshop content, there's not much we can do. We will add a backup option of having the host player send the level directly to any clients that fail to download it soon so that this won't be an issue going forward.
Note that the new menu might run slowly on some machines. This will be improved soon.
Our main focus is now on Beneath, but we will be continuing to improve the level editor and improving the multiplayer network performance and functionality over time.
Once any new significant issues have been fixed for this build, we will be increasing the price of the game slightly to be closer to the final release price. As we've said before we felt it wasn't fair to charge full price for an incomplete product at the start of Early Access, but the game is now far enough along that it makes sense. It won't be a big change, but if you've yet to purchase the game and want to, it will probably be cheaper now than in a month.
There have been a lot of changes in this build so as usual please post issues on the Steam discussions forum for the game if you have any new issues.

[ 2017-01-10 15:32:39 CET ] [ Original post ] Paint the Town Red is a chaotic first person melee combat game set in different locations and time periods. The voxel-based enemies can be punched, bashed, kicked, stabbed and sliced completely dynamically using almost anything that isn't nailed down.
You'll need to use your wits, speed and anything you can get your hands on in epic bar fights, disco brawls, old west saloon rumbles, college frat house beat-downs and a lot more.
We'll be adding more levels to the Early Access versions leading up to release and look forward to creating the best level ideas from the community. Please follow and add to your Wishlist to keep up to date on development and be notified on release.
