Firstly, Ubik is wholeheartedly dedicated to the upcoming season update. As stated before, the finish line is set for the end of the month, and we're committed to hitting that target unless something really unexpected happens.
A quick note on bugs, we're actively identifying issues that affect your gameplay. We appreciate your keen eyes on this frontif you encounter a critical bug that requires immediate attention, please reach out with the details. So far we've been reached out by several active members and we really appreciate your help here.
Finally, to give you a taste of the artistry in motion, our artist has been tirelessly creating a lineup of characters, alongside a treasure trove of about 400 items. We've completed all character designs and made significant headway with the item models. Take a look at some work-in-progress examples.

The new season 5 changes will be delivered incrementally within a few days, and this is the first patch. The next patch will contain new skill masteries, and then item sockets and new merchants, such as the set item NPC and portal NPC.
This Season 4 patch will be divided in two, a pre-season release and another update next week.
This will be a forced update as soon as the patch is live on each platform, meaning that you're required to update the game to v1.1.3.
These are preliminary patch notes and are still subject to change - (Doing my best to get Premium Stash Tabs in this version too!). The patch will be released before Season 2 starts. I intend to add more end-game content and items as the season progresses.
Season 1 is ending soon, and Season 2 will start again Friday the 9th of December at 18:00 UTC! (13:00 EST, 10:00 PST) Create a new character and enjoy a fresh new season filled with more items, monsters and challenges to overcome!
I understand that many players are not very happy with the current state of microtransactions/in-app-purchases, so I've decided to make some major changes there. I'm a solo developer, and this is my first game. I don't want to seem like the guy who's trying to get everyone to purchase just to earn money, because that's not why I started this project 20 years ago. This project is my passion, and I don't have any demands from big publishers to try and fill the game with as much MTX or p2w-aspects as possible, I don't want players to feel forced to purchase anything at all. In a world where money was not an issue, the game would be free and there wouldn't be any MTX/IAP, but since I have plans for upcoming online features, and the fact that everyone is playing online on a server, I have to cover the server costs in some way. I understand that the way I've been implementing premium features and opals is not the best from a player perspecitve, but that's why the game is in Early Access so I can listen to feedback and keep improving it. The following changes will be done:
Improvements: - Added notification when a top 50 hardcore player dies on the season leaderboard - Pressing Esc on PC version when the pause menu is open will close the menu instead of prompting to exit the game - Made "show chat" button more visible when chat is hidden - Updated max stack size of Attribute Respec scrolls to 20 - Most of the Relics now have a higher default rarity, these are "new" relics will not stack with the old relics of E rarity - Moved the fire in Odr's Trail further away after entering the arena - Default quality at the Essence Blacksmith is now 100% instead of 0% - Defeating Odr now spawns a Town Portal - Imbuing a quiver with no available affixes now results in a failure without consuming the materials - Removed the notification of skill points gained when you're below level 10k - Improved the scrolling speed in achievements window Bugfixes: - Fixed so that the skill hotkeys work correctly after sending a chat message - Fixed the sorting order of "lower skill cooldown" Essences in the blacksmith Essence list - Fixed an issue with loading guild info in guild screen when there's a member with no characters - Fixed portals not showing correctly when using the "All items" filter override - Fixed time durations not localizing properly when switching languages
Hotfix: - Fixed an issue when joining the game from character selection
