Firstly, thank you to all who tried and did manage to login and participate in the network test today! If you're reading this you may have received an email inviting you to test the game. Apologies for any confusion this may have caused - we do not have control over how Steam words this email. For clarity - it was Steam's way of letting you know you were accepted into the current testing group (and have officially become an Alpha Knight - which is what we call our testers! Woo! ... And then Beta Knights when in beta etc etc). You can join our Discord for some exclusive roles, and also there will be in-game content given out once we reach perpetual server access. (At the moment our game servers are only open for tests). For those of you who have not been keeping up with AEGIS Kingdoms news - we are currently in a testing phase, but don't worry - you didn't miss out today. Today was just a network test as we needed to see how registration would handle, whether some of our fixes were working for high-ping players and overall to see the stability of our game server. However the test you are invited to is the COMMUNITY CLASH! We use these Clashes as a means to help us build the game in bitesize pieces. We call these tests Community Clashes - and they're a fun way of people getting involved, experiencing the game and helping us gather crucial data for the game. Community Clashes have some of the latest features, as well as some experimental features. They're normally fun PvPvE game modes of many kinds, but serve more as a friendly way to test the game. They focus on one of the main gameplay factions, which you can read about more on the store page of AEGIS Kingdoms. In the interim when we are preparing for Clashes, we also have minor tests like today's network test. These are mainly for finding large, game breaking bugs (of which there were a few). We'd rather have these bugs found now, rather than on important test days. We've identified a large issue with the registration system and have decided to move to a different method which will hopefully negate the need registering and logging in, in the first place. It remains to be seen how effective this will be overall, however. Again, thank you for joining in or attempting to join in! We are going to schedule another network test soon. In the meantime, you can join our Discord for the latest info about the game, get involved in tests and get private access to tester channels! I look forward to seeing you all in-game soon! - Five, Lead Developer.
