Over the last few months we have been working towards getting AEGIS Kingdoms into a state where you, the players, can jump in and have some fun. Thats mostly been fixes and backend stuff like making sure you dont fall through the world randomly (weirdly happened more than we wanted it to) or having your progress deleted. You know Small stuff. Now Im excited to say that we are moving towards our next milestone which means tangible stuff that you can get involved with!

Community Clashes:

Community Clashes are fun community events that allow you to earn rare and exciting rewards. Youll keep what you earn on your character (unless absolutely otherwise game breaking), so theyre a great way to help us test the game and for you to get some cool stuff & have some fun!
Community Clash V is the next big thing were going towards, as its a community event. Join the Discord for screenshots, GIFs and updates about Community Clashes.

Alpha Island (Open Weekends):

We will reach a point soon where server access is open to Alpha Knights. To become an Alpha Knight you will still need to request access through the Steam page. Youll then get access to the Alpha Client.
Access will initially be limited to weekends (Friday evenings to Monday mornings UK time), but if demand is high, we may extend this further.
New updates and content will be added as we progress, and eventually the world will be slowly opened up as we continue.
No timeframe for this, it will happen once we are ready but we are now actively developing this so provided there are no issues, it should be rather soon.
We will be posting more about this now in our Discord so join us there for a little more insight!

DISCORD & COMMUNICATION

Weve also been spending some time making the Discord look a little more pretty. We use this as one of our primary communication methods for posting updates, but appreciate not everyone uses it. So moving forward were now branching out to other media platforms such as Steam, Twitter & YouTube. See whats coming new below:

Frequent Dev Notes:

Dev Notes will now being made more frequent on the Discord for a more transparent awareness regarding changes, updates and the likes. Again, this will mostly pertain to Alpha Island, but also Community Clashes.
Weve also started posting dev notes directly to Steam, but these are currently only visible on the Test Client. We will be moving over towards the main AEGIS Kingdoms news for greater visibility.

Tweets:

These will echo what we are posting on Discord, in a condensed manner. This is primarily just small summaries and fun posts. Please dont expect these too often, were still in the process of developing a Community Management team.

YouTube:

Well be creating some shorter videos to provide some information on AEGIS Kingdoms. You can see that on our YouTube channel.

The Grand Empire has lifted its military restriction on the new land and are now actively supporting the relocation of civilians to make a home for themselves in Ophelia. The Relic Hunters

Discovering the secrets of the past will help the prosperity and future of New Camelot, and The Grand Empire. Delve into ancient ruins and procure artefacts and relics to unfold the mysteries of Ophelia's former inhabitants. Just be sure to avoid any traps they may have left behind.

The Adventurer's Guild

Calling all cartographers, adventurers, climbers and explorers! This new land needs you to trail blaze across the land in search of exciting adventures. Plant your flag at the tallest mountain, map all of the surrounding areas and explore the secrets of Ophelia.

The Mercenary Legion

Whilst there are guards inside New Camelot, the rest of the world lays open and waiting for danger. Get paid for beating up bad guys, hacking and slashing through enemies and anything else you’re willing to do for gold.

The Engineer's Society

Scientists, tinkers, engineers and anyone interested in understanding the working parts of a machine! You’re needed to understand this vast new place. Collect samples of fauna and flora, create wonderful and weird contraptions to generate power and tinker with whatever else you can get your hands on.

The Settler's Union

There’s a lot to be done in a new settlement. As a builder and craftsman, you’ll be gathering resources and crafting all sorts of things for the residence of New Camelot. You’ll even learn how to farm, raise animals and contribute greatly to society as a Settler.

ABOUT

AEGIS Kingdoms is a shared world life-sim RPG with horizontal combat progression, and provides a place where you can enjoy being part of a fun community.
The various gameplay aspects are split into those factions above, as well as being able to do story based quests called “Adventures”.
Cosmetic orientated rewards
Absolutely no pay to win. Cash shop items are cosmetic and to support development.
Vertical progression for trade craft skills influenced by old-school RPG games that you know and love.
Encouragement to explore the open world with lots of hidden gems and fun.
