Hi there !
This last month has been really busy, working on new projects and adding features to Jump'n'Brawl. The idea list (as well as the to-do list) is growing.
What's new this time ?
- Control Settings are updated. New graphics courtesy of the infamous KenneyNL.
- PS4/5 controllers support (but not the touchpad !).
- Energy Shield ! If your character is on ground and you hold the "down" control, a temporary energy shield will appear to protect you (with a nice effect). Beware : it doesn't work in Bump mode.
- Removed players name settings in the Game Settings menu. If you want to debate about this choice, don't hesitate to leave a message in the discussion board.
Both demo and full game have been updated. Lots of bugs have been fixed ! An hidden feature has been added (would you see it ?). Many QoL simple modifications have also been added in preparation for the next major update.
Some minor changes - Removed the localisation flags (not relevant in certain cases) - Changed some translation entries.
Happy new year dear players !
I can't share my wishes in all the languages i'd want, but thanks to the wonderful job from Warlocs, the game is now also available in German, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and Simplified Chinese (It has also been proof read in English, 'cause, you know ...) Working with the translators of Warlocs has been a very satisfying and insightful journey. I've learned a lot and seen that no machine translators can match with the skills of a human being. Many other things has been done : - Mouse support for menu navigation. It might be obvious for a PC game but it wasn't the case. - Menu UI/UX has been enhanced to ease the navigation and prevent being lost in some sub-menus. - Navigation keys have been remapped. Not only can you use the arrow keys, but also the classic "WASD" function dear to keyboard purists. - Controls are now correctly shown using approriate visual cues. - And as always, many small bugs, seen and unseen, have been fixed.
So ! What's next ?
I've got big plans for the future, essentially consisting in adding playing modes : - Online Multiplayer : Everybody wants it. So you'll get it ! - Team Mode : For each mode (Regular, Instakill, Bump and Battle royale), you'll be able to team up. 1vs2, 2vs2, 1vs3 (not fair !), your choice ! - And a surprise ... a mode that no one expect ... Plus, of course, new content : - New characters - One special character, El Blobo's Deadly Foe : Nemesio ! - New arenas and especially aerial ones. Stay tuned ! And Join me on my Discord server to share some fun and ideas (and bug reports ...).
New mode incoming ! The 'Battle Royale' mode : The last player alive scores a point. When the victory conditions are met, the winner is elected !
Pretty simple, isn't it ?
But there's more !
The controls have been corrected and run even smoother than ever.
- In-Air Dash can be triggered simply by combining 'jump' and 'attack'.
- Forward Jump can be triggered by simply using 'down' as you land on the ground.
- Wall climbing is even easier than before.
- Wall jump has been reworked.
Hi there ! The demo is available again ! It is based on the version 1.0.4.7 and contains the following: - 4 characters : El Blobo, Shadow Knight, Dark Knight and the Grim Reaper - 3 arenas - Only Regular and Bump modes - Game sessions limited to 120 or 360 seconds - Kill count limited to 5 Have fun !
Thanks to feedbacks, the game has known some fruitful changes.
Controls have been fixed again ! They are smoother, especially for gamepads. A new move has been added : "In-Air Dash". Quite classical for any plateformer. You'll be able to pratice all of this in the brand new tutorial.
The wall climb has also been fixed and is way more intuitive.
Because, YES ! The tutorial has been completed and enhanced. Now, the controls to be used are displayed in a very distinct color and match the controls of the selected player.
As always, feel free to leave a comment or feedback !
Hello Dear Players ! I'm currently compiling all the feedbacks I get from litterally everywhere. I'm keeping track of them all, continuously improving the game and delivering new updates to you. Thus, a new update (1.0.5) will be available next week. It will be about controls modifications (more fluid, fixing some minor issues) and UI/UX (thanks again for those insightful feedbacks !). The translations, however, will be available in a later update. The planned languages are English, Spanish, French, Russian, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. More will be added as the player population and demand arises. In the meantime, don't hesitate to post comments and reviews. As for now, I'll read them all !
The game controls have been revamped. Almost everything in the game can be accessible throught a controller. Here is the changelog: UI/UX
- Enhanced controller support over all the game, including menus.
- The translations have been temporarily disabled. A team of professionnal translators are currently working on Spanish, French, Russian, Japanese and Simplified Chinese translations.
- Many fonts have been changed to enhanced the overall menu look and feel.
- Characters descriptions are now complete and polished.
- The attack response has been revised so combos are now possible in Regular mode.
- Some super powers have been fixed.
- An issue preventing the player to attack while in air has been fixed.
- And many more you might never notice ... :)
The demo is enriched with the arrival of a third character: The Grim Reaper. This also implies the possibility of playing with three players! Don't forget that the game is fully compatible with Remote Play. So play with your friends.
We've just added an in-game tutorial mode. You can choose any character, any arena with any set of control and be guided through a tutorial. Then, you can practice as long as you want against dummy bots (they're standing still ... for now ...), learning how to navigate as quick as possible through the arena to rapidly confronts opponents. Next demo update might include more content. So stay tuned.
We just added a small tutorial in the main/welcome screen. It's not enough as we've not talked about the movement combos and some other things.
The demo is finally here. As we've said before, it's a very limited demo. But it is meant to be upgraded gradually to 4 players and more content. See it as a "free" early release. Don't hesitate to provide any feedback, good or bad. First thing first, we've realized we've forgot to include a tutorial ... It will be the subject of the first upgrade to come. Stay tuned and thank you for playing our demo !
Good news everyone ! A free demo of the game will be available soon (it's a matter of week(s)). Any feedback (or roasting) will be welcome. Only the local multiplayer will be available, with a limited range of content. Stay tuned !

Players can select one of the available characters. The same character can't be selected more than once.
In each game mode, players have access to their character's superpower. To activate it, the player must to double tap the "Down/Special" control. It will unleash the super power. Each character has their own super power. Some are very powerful, some are just annoying and finally, some may seems useless but it depends a lot on of the arena. Superpowers have recharge time (in order to avoid spamming) and duration.
