Changed how UIs are scaled throughout the game. Should be better now? Also changed what resolutions are supported. Before it was hard-coded at a few 16:9 resolutions. Now it should just pull whatever resolutions your monitor/screen supports. Anything that isn't 16:9 though will likely have black bars as the "game" is still 16:9. Note: The resolutions that the game pulls will most likely all be the same aspect ration as your monitors native resolution. So, if you have a 16:9 monitor, you would likely only see 16:9 resolutions. If you have a 16:10 monitor, you'll see 16:10 resolutions and so on. This will either fix a few issues or completely break everything. Only time will tell.
Made some changes to how passing works in GRF. Before, if you passed, the ball would be thrown directly to where the receiving goblin was when you pressed the pass button. Now, it will try and lead the receiving goblin based on the receiving goblin's movement direction* and speed * For singleplayer and 1v1 it actually uses the direction you are currently moving as the thrower, since you now immediately switch to the receiving goblin so their movement will be what your previous movement was. Sorry if that makes no sense
Add a couple more songs to the game. Will be working on some more soon (hopefully, unless my plans fail) Songs are Thin Authority, Warm Butter, and High Falutin Bait. I don't remember if Thoughtless Argument was already added to the game so that may be new too. Idk
The map maker/custom hole maker is now LIVE on the main branch of Goblin Rules Football! You can now create your own custom golf courses as either a "regular" golf course or a "minigolf" course. Custom golf courses can be uploaded to the steam Workshop in game. If you join a game running a map you aren't subscribed to in the workshop, you will be prompt if you want to download the map from the workshop. Wow! Whoa! There are some other changes as well. But that is t he main one. Hopefully it works correctly. Changes - Map maker for custom golf course - Updated water, deep rough, and rough textures in the Golf Mode - changed how "terrain type" ball is on is detected - changed how game finds nearest land outside of water player's ball landed in - a couple new songs I think
Adding new song to the game. Everything else might be broken. Oh well!
Just adding a new song. I have been working on a map maker for golf. You can watch a video of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6VGS0Tt7wY
- Updated music manager so music should be able to turn on and off correctly... - added some checks to kick after attempts so, hopefully, kick after attempts can't both be "blocked" and "the kick was good" at the same time. Who knows if it actually works though
- Added a new song called "handy question"
- Modified hole 9 on the minigolf course
- added "now playing" text when music is playing
Added a new song called "Illegal Toothpaste" and made some other minor changes. Hopefully nothing is broken!
Fixed an issue with the settings menu in the GRF tutorial that a player brought up. Should be fixed now. I also changed holes 8 and 9 in the minigolf course. They are new holes and no longer just a cut and paste of two tee off challenges. They have little holes that you hit the ball into so it travels down a pipe and stuff. Crazy. Also added some flowers to the new holes to jazz things up a bit.
Hello Goblins. A new course has been added for the golf mode: MiniGolf! Putter's only. Bounce off walls and stuff. Every hole should be doable in one stroke, but it may not be easy! 9 new minigolf holes, though you may notice holes 8 and 9 are eerily similar to two of the tee off challeneges (sorry I got lazy) Hopefully it all works...
Now that I finally made some more swing animations to account for different directions, I am updating the main branch of the game to include Golf Mode! It also includes the "smooth sync" stuff I did for football multilplayer to make that smoother. So, Update Notes
- "Smooth Sync" added to football multiplayer. Should make player movement "smoother" in multiplayer games
- Brand new golf mode added! You can now choose between playing football, or golf!
Added "aim points" to each hole. Basically they are suggested areas of where to aim on the hole. Can cycle through them or use the numbers 1/2/3/4/5 as shorts if using keyboard. When you select aim point your character will automatically aim right at the point. Meant to make setting up shots quicker than before. Also fixed an issue with key rebinding for golf causing crashes. Well I hope it's fixed at least. I also accidentally removed the "pings" you hear after perfect power/accuracy hit submissions and that should be added back now.
There are now nine holes to choose from for the Golf Mode (GRF:GLF). Also added some more "music" and added more sound/volume options under the settings menu. hopefully everything works?
Golf mode is hopefully live in the "smooth-sync-test" beta you can opt into. Fingers crossed it worked. Publishing right before I go to sleep! Also there is a title "song" now you can listen to. Apologies in advance!

Goblin Rules Football (GRF) is an arcade sports game that is sort of like a dumb version of Rugby. You can play single player against the bots or multiplayer in either 1v1 or 3v3 matches.
Punch opposing players to knock them out and steal the ball from them.
Slide tackle to trip them and steal the ball.
Pass the ball to your teammates!
Run as fast as you can to score a touchdown (by actually touching the ball down!)!
Kick the ball downfield to give your team space away from your own end zone!
Collect and use powerful power ups!
Avoid the refuse tossed onto the field by the crowd!
Dodge the rowdy crowd as they streak onto the field!
Always be on the lookout for the lone Goblin Cowboy on his smoke break.
