Tax-Force
Hunt down tax-evading mutant billionaires and reinvest in society in a narrative action rogue-lite and political sim mashup.
Hello everyone, we are super excited to be announcing our new game Tax-Force in advance of demoing at the Indie Arena Booth demo at Gamescom (If anyone is attending, come and say hello)!
Weve been working away in secret for the last couple of years on we consider our Magnum Opus, which combines the teams love of 90s comic books and our disdain for tax-avoiding billionaires.
Our game community is our biggest help on our gamedev journey, so for more info, teaser trailer & screenshots, head over and WISHLIST on our newly launched STEAM PAGE!

Hello, everyone!
With Jennifer Wilde: Unlikely Revolutionaries out in the world at last, we just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone whos supported the game so far! We couldnt have done it without you and were enormously grateful
Now that the game is released, there are still a couple of ways you can help show your support. The single best way you can help any indie studio is by helping to get the word out about their work, and Outsider Games is no exception!
If youve played Jennifer Wilde already, please drop us a review on Steam. It doesnt have to be long - just let people know what you loved about the game and what they can expect if they buy it. If we can get just ten reviews from people who bought the game through Steam, well get a nice visibility boost that will help grow our audience.
You can also help us out by posting about Jennifer Wilde on social media. Whether its dropping our name in your favourite Discord server, sharing screenshots on Reddit, or making a recommendation on Twitter, every little helps!
Thanks again for everything youve done for us so far. Were really proud of what weve achieved, and excited to share Jennifer Wilde with the world - with a little help from you, of course!

Hello, everyone!
The year is cracking on apace - its hard to believe its September already! August was a busy month for us, and included a trip to Germany for this years GamesCom! Head honcho Stephen and programmer Daniel headed off to Cologne for the trade fairs first in-person event since 2020.
Stephen says: It was a real thrill to be back at Gamescom this year. We spent most of the event in the business halls, talking to lots of industry friends we hadn't seen in at least 3 years, and making lots of exciting studio plans for the next few years.
We did get a chance to have a quick browse of the public expo, and it was amazing to see so many gamers back in one place, and share their enthusiasm for all the amazing new games on show!
As for Jennifer Wilde, the game is now officially 'In Review' behind the scenes at Steam. All being well, we'll have our build approved soon, and will be able to announce our launch date!
Its been a busy month for some of our team in their lives beyond Outsider, too. Lead writer Maura McHugh was over in London this weekend for FantasyCon 2022, but dont worry if you missed it - can also catch her at this years Octocon, the National Irish Science Fiction Convention! Find out more at the Octocon website or follow Maura on Twitter @splinister.
You might remember from our last update that our social media manager, Hero, was nominated for a British Fantasy Award for Best Audio for their podcast, Monstrous Agonies. We're absolutely delighted to report that they won!
If youd like to check out the best of British fantasy audio fiction, search for Monstrous Agonies on your favourite podcast app or find them on Twitter @Monstrous_Pod.
As for the rest of the team, it was business as usual working on the last few bugs in Jennifer Wilde as well as cracking on apace on our super top secret projects that are yet to be announced. And Im sure none of us felt any jealousy at all on seeing Stephen and Daniels holiday pics.
.nope, not jealous at all
Thats all from us this month, but remember to follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for news and updates. You can also join our Discord server, where we hold weekly hang-outs and self-promotion events with our community.
See you next month!

Hello, everyone!
Weve got a bumper update for you this month, with news about Jennifer Wilde, Wailing Heights, and a couple of projects on the Outsider Games radar that we want to share with you.
Work on Jennifer Wilde is cracking on apace, with the team hard at work rooting out those last few bugs...
If you just cant wait to get your hands on some Outsider Games goodness, our body-hopping musical adventure Wailing Heights is going on sale this week as part of the Playstation Summer Sale. Pick it up for a song from Aug 3rd to Aug 17th!
Theres been some good news for one of the Outsider Games team, too. When theyre not tweeting and making memes about Oscar Wilde, our social media manager Hero runs a podcast called Monstrous Agonies, a late-night radio advice show for monsters. And last week, Monstrous Agonies was shortlisted for a British Fantasy Award! Check out the show at monstrousagonies.co.uk or give it a listen on iTunes, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Finally, we want to give a shout-out to Fogtown, a Sherlock Holmes-inspired comedic mystery made with puppets! The team plan to make both a television series and a choice-driven narrative adventure game, and have just launched their crowdfunding campaign, which you can find here. You can also follow them on Twitter, @FogtownSeries, or find out more at their website.
Thats all from us this month, but remember to follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for news, updates, and the aforementioned Oscar Wilde memes. You can also join our Discord server, where we hold weekly hang-outs and self-promotion events with our community.
See you next month!
Stephen and the team at Outsider Games.

Hello, everyone. Its been all go this month as we crack on with Jennifer Wilde! As we add the finishing touches to the project, theres plenty of satisfying cheers as we tick off big pillars of the game as complete. Script 100% Art 100% Animation 100% Soundtrack 100% Audio FX 95% Programming 95% QA testing 90% Since our last update, weve gone through an intensive QA process that found more than 300(!) bugs. Thankfully all the big game-breakers are now fixed (we hope!), and all that remains are some medium to minor bugs (including the occasional typo) before expanding our testing circle for a final pass. Hopefully there aren't too many more ghosts in the machine to fend off before you can all play the game! Somehow, around all that, we managed to find time for the team to meet up in person - most of us for the first time. Its been strange making this game across the pandemic, and as our team changes and grows, some of just hadnt had chance to meet face to face since we started work together. But after a little awkwardness (to be expected from a bunch of game devs whose social skills havent exactly improved over the last two years... ) we quickly fell into step and had a lovely morning together! Speaking of the team, we still have three more to introduce you to. Dont expect much in the way of information about what theyre working on, though. As well as putting the finishing touches to Jennifer Wilde, were also working hard on a couple of as-yet-unannounced projects. Well tell you more when were ready but until then... our lips are sealed Meet the last of our new recruits: Name: Maura McHugh Role: Writer Currently working on: Jennifer Wilde and Currently playing: Destiny 2 (4ever) Name: Leela Collins Role: Producer/Herder of cats Currently working on: bit of this, bit of that Currently playing: Cosy Capitalism the Game (Animal Crossing) Name: Andrew Bell Role: Designer Currently working on: unspeakable horrors Currently playing: Final Fantasy XIV, Elden Ring and Gwent :x Finally, comic fans might be interested to know that Maura will be be one of the guests at this years Enniskillen Comic Fest, one of a host of talented comic book creators booked for this years event. The festival takes place on Saturday June 18th and you can learn more at their Facebook page. Remember to join our Discord server for weekly hang-outs and chats, as well as news and updates. You can also follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Thats all from us. Have a great week, and talk to you next month with another update! Stephen and the team at Outsider Games

Jennifer believes the recent death of her father was no 'accident'. Finding a chained locket in her father's hotel, she attempts to use her childhood gift for talking to ghosts to call his spirit back. Unwittingly, the ghost recalled is Oscar Wilde, famous Irish playwright, whose secret affair with Jennifer's father has bound his ghost to the locket. Jennifer and Oscar find themselves following a trail of murder and revolution, through Paris, to London and Ireland, and into conflict with secret government organisations, a British occult spy network, and the Irish Revolutionary Army.
In a thrilling, witty and melancholic adventure. Jennifer and Oscar uncover dark secrets, deal with the loss of shared love and develop a deep friendship along the way.
- As Jennifer discovers clues, she sketches in her book; which the player can study
- Use this knowledge to confront characters, prompt their memories and link clues together
- Take control of Jennifer and Oscar as you interrogate the living and dead to solve puzzles.
- Environmental puzzles will vex your brain, with crafty but logical solutions to be solved.
- Use Jennifer's artistic skills to trick the Gendarmerie and talk to spirits, while Oscar can use his ghostly powers to sneak invisibly past the SIS, in character-specific solutions.
