Hello, everyone. Its been all go this month as we crack on with Jennifer Wilde! As we add the finishing touches to the project, theres plenty of satisfying cheers as we tick off big pillars of the game as complete. Script 100% Art 100% Animation 100% Soundtrack 100% Audio FX 95% Programming 95% QA testing 90% Since our last update, weve gone through an intensive QA process that found more than 300(!) bugs. Thankfully all the big game-breakers are now fixed (we hope!), and all that remains are some medium to minor bugs (including the occasional typo) before expanding our testing circle for a final pass. Hopefully there aren't too many more ghosts in the machine to fend off before you can all play the game! Somehow, around all that, we managed to find time for the team to meet up in person - most of us for the first time. Its been strange making this game across the pandemic, and as our team changes and grows, some of just hadnt had chance to meet face to face since we started work together. But after a little awkwardness (to be expected from a bunch of game devs whose social skills havent exactly improved over the last two years... ) we quickly fell into step and had a lovely morning together! Speaking of the team, we still have three more to introduce you to. Dont expect much in the way of information about what theyre working on, though. As well as putting the finishing touches to Jennifer Wilde, were also working hard on a couple of as-yet-unannounced projects. Jennifer believes the recent death of her father was no 'accident'. Finding a chained locket in her father's hotel, she attempts to use her childhood gift for talking to ghosts to call his spirit back. Unwittingly, the ghost recalled is Oscar Wilde, famous Irish playwright, whose secret affair with Jennifer's father has bound his ghost to the locket. Jennifer and Oscar find themselves following a trail of murder and revolution, through Paris, to London and Ireland, and into conflict with secret government organisations, a British occult spy network, and the Irish Revolutionary Army.
In a thrilling, witty and melancholic adventure. Jennifer and Oscar uncover dark secrets, deal with the loss of shared love and develop a deep friendship along the way.
