We've made several balancing updates to the game over the last month or so (which we didn't make an announcement for but instead had an in-game message). We're acutely aware that some players are still not managing to get good enough gear and are instead trying to grind their way up (which ruins the game experience for them). Great weapons can be forged from very mediocre ones using the salvage/crafting part of the game. Offense is the best defense, so focus on improving your weapon first. Don't just upgrade one spell line as you will run out of crafting materials and not have enough for other items. Don't go back and grind dungeons to get your level up as you will end up with low-level gear that doesn't match you or your enemy's level (stick to the dungeons close to where you are up to - good items will drop from them). To help those who don't seem to get good item drops (and those who like the gambling buzz of spinning to win), we've dramatically dropped the price of the standard chest (from 1500 to 500 gold) while significantly increasing the gold drop rate in dungeons (which should help players keep upgrading their gear). We've also made the rare chests able to be opened with gold (though we still recommending the salvage/upgrade path rather than relying too much on luck). Here's a recap on the last few balancing tweaks: 3 July 2016 We've just tweaked the loot drop to be a bit more generous, as well as giving more Gold per fight. We hope you use this to craft better items, so you don't have to go back and grind! 17 August 2016 Just a quick balancing tweak to increase the target completion time for the Tutorial dungeon and to remove some of the dodge spells used by enemies (in PvE). 26 August 2016 We've increased the dungeon gold drop, and made the standard Chest cheaper (and drop better loot). The rare chests can now be opened with Gold. Thank you for playing our game. It was never meant to be a game with massive "end game" content - it's about the skill challenge of beating that next opponent and improving your character's look and capability along the way.... and getting fame and rewards for being in the top PvP leagues. That said you should get 80+ hours out of the game - all for a very humble price.
