Hey Everyone! This update will address two important bugs and adds some small changes to the UI.

  • If all players are dead and there are companions alive, a timer of 20 sec will appear and afterwards the companions will explode
  • Changed the menu name from Singleplayer -> Play
  • Changed the menu name from Multiplayer -> Online Multiplayer
  • Fixed a bug where tanks wouldnt die because of corrupt save data
  • Fixed a bug where the map editor menu would be empty when the game was set to another language than english

Hey Tankers! Another small update fixing some more bugs reported lately. Thank you all for reporting them on Steam and the Discord.


The bug fixings list
  • Clapperboard being bright in sunset
  • Russet and Cherries shoot a bit slower
  • Trains spawn a bit further away from the level so the player has more time
  • Shortened the tutorial messages in the classic campaign so it doesn't block the game
  • Friendly tanks no longer count as enemy tanks on clapperboard during loading
  • White tanks no longer very visible on dark foggy missions
  • Black tank no longer gets stuck driving circles on grandpa difficulty
  • Fixed updating campaign not actually updating the workshop campaign

  • Chinese usernames showing up blank
  • Challenges not saving fixed, this was not logged within local user save data, from now on it will be logged in the save file.

  • Fixed map editor camera getting stuck if clicking too fast on perspective button

Version 1.2.0 - Huge Summer update

The Huge Summer update is here!

Available for a limited amount of time until the first of august, if you finish the 10 mission long campaign within this period you will gain access to a pack of summer objects to use in the editor! Can you destroy the Dune King??

The whole classic campaign has been revamped with new missions using systems not seen before in the campaign like rain, fog, and many more objects. If you have finished the Legacy Classic Campaign before, you can now play the full thing over again and have a (almost) brand new experience!

Dont worry! You can always switch back to Legacy Campaign.

All the music tracks have been redone and balanced out by Pixelbitie, also different music now plays on the amount of enemy tanks giving the music system even more depth. Support the artist Pixelbitie on bandcamp!

Detailed bug list


[Important changes]
  • Classic Campaign got a full overhaul, many missions have changed
  • Limited Summer Campaign available till the last day in July (might change in the actual official version release soon)
  • Big music overhaul, revamped music tracks. Music now also goes more in-depth and changes based on amount of tanks present
[Regular changes]
  • Map editor new short key CTRL+Z now available
  • Physics overhaul for tanks, speed values have changed and have affected all campaigns. Be sure to check your campaign and changes the stats of your custom tanks
  • Player tank no more getting stuck on sides of walls
  • All tanks now drive normally when driving on top of blocks
  • Summer pack unlocked once you complete the special summer campaign
  • More floor textures added for the map editor
  • You can also change the floor outside the border

Introducing the Santa Turret our friendly snowball shooter! His snowballs are harmless but full of christmas spirit. He really does love snowballs.

Version 1.0.8 - Hallowee Update


Hallowee Update is here!


For a limited time, the game is changed to Halloween theme and you can now play the Hallowee survival map "The Cemetery"!


Tip: Watch out for the tornado!!

Perspective change


The camera has been switched from the flat orthographic mode to perspective mode, giving the game a lot more 3D effect (and allowing for awesome Post Processing effects)

HEY TANKERS! Lets get right into the highlights of this update!


Classic Campaign way faster loading times


Have you noticed that it could take quite a while to load in the classic campaign? This is now fixed with dynamic loading of the classic campaign levels, resulting in sweet load times! +80% Faster!
Especially noticeable on the Steam Deck

EXTRA: First person mode


After completing the Most Wanted achievement, you unlock the First Person Mode. Because why not look at the tanks up-close when shooting them?! Enable first person mode in the unlockables menu.
Also: Third Person Mode has been improved, much more fun in the night missions! ;) The full change-log
  • Fixed king tank bullets not working in multiplayer
  • Fixed king tank missing animations and SFX in multiplayer
  • Boss Tank HP bars should never be able to go out of bounds again
  • Fixed that when typing a lobby name, it resets to default when another player joins
  • King Tank has the heavy tracks sound again
  • Fixed game start values (no more low audio, weird resolutions and the like)
  • Fixed being able to get out of survival maps
  • Resolutions based are now based on aspect ratios
  • Bunch more resolutions added
  • Fixed snow mode creating snow floating above half slabs
  • Fixed that if you have only normal bullets unlocked there is two bullet skins unlocked, but both of them are the normal skin

  • Fixed menu bug where there would be a "Continue" button for survival mode maps
  • You can now test campaigns in Third Person Mode
  • You can now force players in Third Person Mode in campaigns (might need to be further tested)
  • Scrolling in video settings is now faster
  • This version contains the mesh grouper from the Youtube video
  • King tank bullets not flying over player tanks anymore
  • Unlimited FPS option added
  • Fixed level 100 tanks on the pillars having incorrect barrels
  • Repair sound fixed, it was missing in multiplayer
  • Fixed AI pathinding in multiplayer , causing tanks to be "twitching" on client side

This hotfix will focus on some multiplayer bugs that popped up after launch, and some other features that have been requested. Do read the changelog to get a full scope of all the changes! Version 0.8.21 - Mission 67 fix and more map editor fun

Hey all! A fun new update is here!


Mission 67 fix


Main reason for the update is the fix of mission 67, electro tanks not teleporting and preventing players to progress in the main campaign.

More map editor controls


You can now freely rotate blocks in the map editor, any angle. Just hold down the rotation mouse button, and it rotates. Also; you when you scroll you can change the size of (almost) any map editor prop! But be careful not to destroy your map by making it unplayable. ;)

Lives and checkpoints


Set lives and checkpoints for specific missions in the map editor! This way you can now make a 100 mission campaign with checkpoints and lives, like an actual campaign. :)

AI companions can now join you fighting the king tank, it was the only mission that was not possible to play with the companions, but you can now. But they don't have armour plates, so if they are a big help... well thats questionable.

Hey! A quick hotfix, fixing the player 3 and player 4 instant exploding when trying to start a new game. Also; workshop maps should now be available again, but you might need to refresh and convert!

Builder Mode


Based on feedback from the community, there is now a new feature you can enable in the account settings called Builder Mode, this will allow you to use every prop in the map editor without having to go through the trouble of grinding for marbles.

Note: There is a trade-off, enabling builder mode will disable earning marbles and XP

You might not have noticed it, but we are working on getting all the achievements their own unique pictures! And if you are wondering; yes, more achievements will be added later down the line.

Whats it about?


Small hotfix that fixes a couple of important bugs, but also adds a couple of new things/changes. Now the challenges will correctly register as completed.

Version 0.8.18 - Challenges, True Run, Linux support and more

Hey Blue Bois! Version 0.8.18 is now LIVE, and the good news is if you are a Linux user, Wee Tanks is now also available for you! Now that true run and other challenge modes are out of the way, we can fully focus again on working on Multiplayer, the biggest feature yet to come. A quick glimpse of the first mission of the True Run...

NOTE: we have switched the way data is stored from campaigns, making it way more efficient but also more secure, this will require you to convert old campaigns to the new way.



In the map editor, you will notice this new clean-looking object selector, all your objects are nice in categories. ;)

You can now upload your custom-made campaigns to the Steam Workshop or download the campaigns other people have made! (This is not only for campaigns but also for sound mods, textures, and custom tanks)

This version's main new feature is the custom tank editor upgrade where you can now color more parts of the custom tanks and have some cool new features like rage mode and peach effect for your custom tanks.

Tankey town returns


Tankey town is open again! Go spend your hard earned marbles on some epic new stuff for in the map editor, or chill out with some of the brown tanks on the square. Soon more shops will be opened, for now tankey town is still under construction on becoming a full functioning town.

King tank reworked


We have reworked the king tank battle, the king tank now has multiple new attacks, and the arena also works a bit different, find it out yourself!

Steam achievements


Steam achievements are now linked with in-game achievements, if you sign in it will automatically sync the achievements. GO GET THEM ALL! (and earn some sweet marbles while doing so)

Hey Wee Tanks! people, new update coming for you with some very interesting new features. You already read the title, the first baby steps of modding support are here! New Wee Tanks official v0.8.11

Hey, everyone!

New official update is here, and oh boy many bugs have been fixed.


Tanks to you guys for reporting the bugs and helping me solve them. Together we are really improving Wee Tanks! We are still working hard on keeping to improving the UI and making localization work 100% across all scenes in all languages. Here is a list of all the changes compared to the previous version: - Bomber plane added to king tank fight - New pause menu UI added to all scenes (this needs 100% testing) - Localization added, play the game in multiple languages now (I think 80% is now translated, help me make a list of texts that still need translation!) - Enemy tank's accuracy is lowered if the target is invisible - The menu use key no longer exits the game or interferes with logging in - Movement is now snappier (no delay between moving and input) - Slider fixed from bullets per second - Custom tanks no longer shoot over players - Can now enter cheat codes with E again - Bug fixed where launching the game for the first time is resulting in no saving or instant getting to mission 41 (or other weird behavior) - Colored blocks added (Patreon exclusive, for now) - boss icon is bigger in checkpoints - Angry tank achievement rage now unlocks properly - Tanks in grandpa mode now keep their shoot speed and moving speed throughout the game. - Max bullets in grandpa mode is now TIMES TWO, on ALL TANKS - All achievements should now work! Go catch them all... - Adult mission 5 has now more teal tanks - Loading screen tank added you can spin around - Smaller changes/fixes

HOTFIX - v0.8.9

I know the Wee Tanks launch has not been as smooth as I hoped, but I am working hard to fix all these crucial bugs. Thanks, guys for reporting all these important bugs! Let's squish them. What is fixed in v0.8.9:

  • - Bullets don't become darts anymore and start floating weirdly
  • - The main menu becoming randomly invisible fixed
  • - Game does not crash anymore after mission 70 boss
  • - Also mission 70 boss battle performance increased (vertices from 7 million to 1 million)
  • - Player model is now smooth again

0.8.8 hotfix

Thank you all for playing Wee Tanks! and finding some important bugs! I made fixed some important bugs that you guys were reporting, if you have any more bugs, don't hesitate and contact me :) Now for the 0.8.8 changelog: - Survival menu in the main menu now works - Clapperboard now disappears when done with animation - Bullets now POP when shot into wall - Allied tanks are recognized as allies, and not enemies, so the game progresses when enemies are dead - King tank old song is back - King tank, tanks die again - Fixed some small menu texts and bugs - The survival castle map is removed, for now, needs too much work - Can enter cheat codes again in the unlockables menu - In the map editor, USE KEY text is replaced with the actual use key binding - Airdropped tanks die when stopping with testing in the map editor - Peach tanks could very rarely shoot a rocket, this has now been fixed
