we finally hit it. Ive been ballooning the scope of the game over and over and over and over again. After almost FOUR YEARS of development time! Uncle Kenny The Game is now playable START TO FINISH! It has NEVER been this close to being done EVER!!!! I have been thinking about a day like this for years. And all that's left is just tinkering, polish, and cutscenes/dialogue. LET'S GO
WHAT'S NEWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Final Mission has every level now.
The final boss has been STARTED!!! LETS GOOOOOOOOO!!! Its definitely my favorite one. There are multiple phases to it. The graphics need to be worked on more by Ava Huth the goat. And the final phase will be tinkered with a lot more. But its already goated.
The game can now be played start to finish. Act 2 used to always cut to credits. Now, it'll go straight to Act 3.
Grapple hook shots now break crates and other various objects! I dont know why Ive never added this before.
Lockpick level has just one more area to round it out.
Since the game can now be completed, New Game Plus can now be accessed! It will carry over your Act 3 God Uncle Kenny back into the start of Act 1.
A new menu screen is unlocked upon game completion.
Demo has been updated for the first time, and now has an Act 3 section. Act 1 section is now up to date with the content of the current updates as well!
The jetpack shouldn't clip behind certain object like chests and fuel stations anymore
Some new small graphics in some of the levels. Obviously, much more to come with that.
When grabbing crates, they should no longer break when grabbed from the bottom-left of Uncle Kenny
New notes littered around Act 3. More to come. And bug fixes for weird characters on some notes too.
Enemy dead bodies will now be behind the player and living enemies to increase visibility for the newer onslaught-like levels at the end of the game
Ladder/ivy platforming has had its weapon-handling code updated on the backend, which should prevent rare glitches where you can lose your gun randomly when climbing.
Weapons now go gold once you get their special mastery upgrades
The Paperman Helicopter fights second phase has been improved, now featuring a wrap-around the screen mechanic
Spike hitboxes have been slightly decreased, just to make the edge cases in the more complicated platforming levels a little more forgiving.
Uncle Kennys player object in Act 3 now has more universal code with the rest of the game, fixing several small bugs in New Game Plus mode. Also, it allows a special sequence to happen during the final boss. Exciting!
Fixed a glitch where cult parasite guys would flashback the entire screen if you have enough radiation to pick them up.
Drone enemies have had their health bars reduced. I want them to feel like swarming bugs and not tanky enemies.
The Hank Boss and Pigeon Man Boss has been buffed up, since most of my testing beforehand had been at level one instead of the level you'd be at when playing through.
As always, various bugfixes and tweaks.
COMING TUESDAY, JULY 1ST -
A small patch which should contain a new tutorial area for the radiation powers, and a short breather between the smoke and underground rocket launcher level. Potentially more sprites and tweaks to health dispensers as well. Since tweaks are coming so fast and so numerous, things I couldn't fit into today are gonna spill over into this small patch and probably another one after.

What to Expect in Beta 0.8 ON JULY 15TH-
Improved graphics variety in the Act 3 levels. Plenty of art passes will go down when I'm at work next week. The levels should have plenty more to look at.

GAMERS LETS GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M SO EXCITED. I have been so productive on this game just tinkering, adding, messing with it so much. Every day it hits a new milestone. LET'S GO. This game rocks now. Still a lot of work ahead but I've never been more psyched to get it done in my life.
