New build/update!Hello everyone, Lana here. I'm hijacking the announcements section from Ste to bring some news on the new update.
We've fixed stuff that have been reported to us in the discussion forums, reviews and in support emails. Thanks for those and keep them coming. I read every single one of those!
Our game maker Connor forwarded some patch notes to me to give to you. Now I'll pretend I'm President Snow and you're my tributes. But not really because that would be weird and the principle of Hunger Games is immoral. (Battle Royale tho)
Here you go:
Palette Reworks
We’ve made a long list of changes to the colour schemes we’re using in Chime Sharp to help playability. More to come on this next update!
Camera Mode
Added a ‘Classic’ camera mode that is similar to that of the original Chime. You might find this useful if you’re having mouse sensitivity issues. It can be found in the options menu.
Visual Modes
We’ve added a few new visual modes to the options menu. One is a colour blind mode (We really want feedback on this so we can tailor it to as many people as possible!) The other might be preferable to some players! And it looks cool too.
Custom Music and Sounds
You can now add custom Chimes, Quads and Loops to your user generated levels! Check out the how to doc in the StreamingAssets/CustomLevels folder in your build. (yay for fart SFX)
Other Features
Added credits to the options menu.
Added some new visuals to the menus.
Made some adjustments to the in game UI for usability.
Improved visuals across the menus.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug that was causing the D-Pad to not work on some devices.
Until the next update!
[ 2015-12-04 16:47:46 CET ] [ Original post ] Chime was a much-loved music puzzle game on Xbox Live Arcade, PC and PS3. What happens if you file away the rusty edges?
New music + new modes + new visuals = CHIME SHARP.
Place pieces, paint the board, make music. Chime Sharp is an sequel to 2009's Chime, a music puzzle game with an addictive, ambient heartbeat. You tessellate shapes to cover a grid, while a beatline reads those shapes as notes. As you cover the board the music builds to a beautiful crescendo of your own design. The only way to discover Chime is to play it, but if you want a glimpse, consider what it might feel like to cross Tetris, a music sequencer and a hypnotic dream about your favourite pop song.
Chime Sharp takes Chime's classic dynamic and updates it for 2015. The core rules are the same but the aesthetic is clean and modern and the game's soundtrack has been completely refreshed. With fifteen new levels, experimental modes, new-era connectivity and sharper ways to play, Chime's finally back -- and it wants to be your new favourite mixtape.
