Welcome to Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues Early Access Release 30! Notes on what is in this release are available here.

May 31, 2016  

Build Number 421 6:30 PM

Changes:


  • Novia Overworld: Fixed various invisible blockers, spawn into air issues, and other items

    • Moved spawn-into-Novia for POT Sidus Clarum so player's don't get stuck in collision

    • Adjusted collision on west side of Nightshade Pass to better allow for access to that scene

    • Adjusted spawn-into-Novia target location for Highvale so players don't appear high in the air



  • Guild registrar in Owl's Head works again, but only for players in online modes.

  • Fixed missing textures on Exit Archways in Mountain Player Owned Town Template

  • Emma the Barmaid in Ardoris once again has a menu of items for sale.

  • Fixed an issue where some cases where some cases that attempting to view the log for the chest at the following location produces an empty log, and immediately generates a network problem icon.

  • Replaced missing sections of Lord Marshal Benefactor player house

  • Fixed issue which was causing Lightning spells to do 100% stuns, now doing it based on a % chance

  • Etceter Crag Mine: Fixed stuck spot on the 3rd Level.

  • Flattened out some stray rumples in Forest POT terrains

  • Brittany Fields: Fixed issues causing bank guards to get caught in the doors

  • Highvale Village: Made some collision changes at the top of the "entry stairs" at (87.2, 50.7, -180.1)  to allow NPCs to traverse the stairs.

  • Fixed female eye bugging on idle fidgets.

  • Brittany: Removed adult blanket horses with problem texture.

  • Fix for broken deco layers in Town Arena Basement

  • Improve water lot placement issues in underground and mountain PoT

    • Moved POT Praga closer to Brittany, to the southwest on the coast.

    • Fixed an issue where the location for POT Praga was pointing to the wrong POT.

    • Fixed issue with spawning location for Verdantis Shardfall



  • Turned up the volume of the footstep sound effects on male avatars

  • Fixed flickering shadow issue in Challenge Dungeon

  • Fixed poison damage issue in Challenge Dungeon

  • Attached sound effect to Wishing Well

  • Added arrows to blacksmiths who were not selling them (mainly in Brittany)

  • Solace Forest (and clones): Moved a harvestable tree at (-151.0, 37.0, 160.6) away from the tree curtain so it can be harvested.

  • /visible should not turn avatars visible while in First-Person view.

  • /tablefilp emote is now re-teachable

  • /macarena emote is now only teachable, not re-teachable

  • Fixed some Viking Cloak sorting issues

  • Fixed some issues with Lunar Rifts

  • Made it so you can't trigger a spider web if the web is already interacting with someone

  • Made sure that there are at least 2-3 bonuses to each Prosperity Tool (where possible)

  • Fixed abug where opening trade while inventory is already active produces a secondary duplicate inventory.

  • Fixed bugs related to Durability not being set correctly when getting Exceptional items

  • Dropped price of Gold Crowns of the Obsidians to 250 Gold

  • Valhold Palace: Chamberlain Essen now has correct conversation and can play his part in the Path of Courage quest line

  • Valhold Palace: Grannus is more explicit about what he's looking for when you first meet him.

  • The Path of Courage quest line for Skrekk is now available.

  • The ending of the Path of Courage in Valhold Palace is now available.


Known Issues:

  • Novia Overworld rework has introduced various stuck spots, incorrect collision and "exit into the air" issues

  • Some UI text is not wrapping correctly

  • Rain is coming through the roof of some buildings

  • The new Targeting system still has various issues that need fixing

  • /spyglass effect can be done even if you don't have the spyglass equipped

  • Pledge items and Add On Store Items are having their Maximum Durability reduced

  • Stabilty: The latest version of Unity we are using has introduced significant stabilty issues along with memory leaks. We are working with Unity to resolve these as quickly as we can

  • Linux: We are experiencing significant issues with the Linux version of the game due to the latest version of Unity. We are working with Unity to resolve these as quickly as we can

    • Avatars don’t idle. Stuck in walking animation.

    • Movement breaks when casting various skills while running.

    • Dying snaps avatars to incorrect position within a scene. Will eventually crash.

    • Using Coconuts in select scenes (like Aerie) will throw the avatar out of boundaries. Will eventually crash.

    • Taking screenshots crashes the client



  • Pathfinding is breaking in some houses and basements

  • Local chat is failing in some situations

  • Many SFX are not properly tied to the sound volume controls.

  • Lighting and fog levels are still being tuned to work with the new weather system, expect anomalies

  • Death and Resurrection do not work properly in the team arena

  • Water lots in Dynamic Player Owned Towns can currently only be placed along shorelines, not on docks

  • If you upgrade from a property owning pledge between data wipes you will receive extra lot deeds.

  • If your video drivers are out of date characters will appear as if they are covered in triangles.

  • Some cities are experiencing performance spikes

  • Some pledge, add on, and stretch goal items have not yet been built and/or do not yet have tech support.

  • The update to Unity 5 caused a host of general texture and lighting related issues, and not all of these have been resolved.

  • Distant tree billboards may have a white outline that is especially noticeable at night, and some trees may shimmer with white at night.

  • Skin tone will sometimes not match properly on different parts of the body

  • ALT key can no longer be bound. This was necessary to re-enable quick self cast with ALT
